  1. What I really want to know is wether Liverpool legend John Barnes will be playing for Liverpool, it would be great to see him again
  2. With lots of posts on previous threads about the clubs lack of ambition and being stagnant in the SPL re our final position is this the opportunity for the club to take us that further step and sign some decent players and take us forward. That places a huge burden on the shoulders of Brew - is he up to it though? :rolleyes02:
  3. Raiders was by far the best story, Temple of Doom was the best action and Last crusade had Sean Connery in it which totally ruined it with his as usual wooden performance
  4. Financial constraints as usual blackieforce. If Dennis goes it frees up cash for someone else but will we get someone like Dennis for that sort of money? I have to say I can see both sides of the Dennis situation and am undecided, some of his hold up play is excellent but scores too few goals for a striker, I would have thought Dennis and Marius would have played better together and scored more goals this season. For once I am happy to leave it up to Brew ( I never thought I would say that!) who you assume knows what he wants and if Dennis is part of it or not.
  5. if he,s that crap, why are hibs and dons after him then?
  6. Obviously folks are satisfied with the football again if this thread is creating so much interest :024:
  7. What a shambles this is turning into. 1. Bound to create greater tension amongst the team given the club appear to be paying Marius and not the Orion group 2. Boardroom seems to have a large degree of infighting which again unsettles the club 3. The matter seems to be being aired through the press which make us look like a bunch of amateurs 4. If Marius stays this will affect Brew's transfer budget which we assume will have to be ?0 which means with players leaving we get either no new players or players who are very cheap 5. If Marius goes then we need to replace him and I cannot believe that his agent did not insist upon a clause allowing him to leave if a club comes in with a certain offer so I doubt there will be big bucks by way of a transfer fee. Happy days :017:
  8. Hats off to the club, hope it boosts the numbers. :022:
  9. I hate to say it but I think the club are quite right to make out of contract players work for a new contract. Dennis has been poor this season and has not made the best of the chances he has had. The club must get the best out of the players and letting them walk into new contracts does not help the situation. I think the whole Marius situation has had an effect but we have done that subject to death.
  10. Is it really so surprising that we sign players from County? The biggest reason we cannot sign players is because of where we are, players are not prepared to relocate and we cannot make it financially worthwhile for them to do so. Logically we recruit from what is available locally, hence County. I agree it's not ideal but realistically it is the best viable option - unless Savage comes back and pays all the wages :029:
  11. All very good, heard it all before. I seem to recall the last time the club lowered the price for admission there were a significant number of posts from season ticket holders whinging that it wasn't fair as they had paid their money for the game and were not getting the reduced rate :018: It seems that the club cannot win with some sections of the support :029:
  12. Good point, Brew is bound to know these lads and I reckon he will sign anyone just for the sake of signing them such as mcguire who is good for at least a goal a game for whoever we are playing :029: Heaven help us :020:
  13. Why do we seem to excel in wanting/taking players/managers back after they leave us? Dargo can feck off as far as I am concerned, leaves us amidst talk of St. Midden being in the top six with him there. A stunning scoring rate this season from him :017: Let him rot in Paisley. :33:
  14. Why do they start heating the pies at 9am for a 3 O'clock kick off? (If you are ever at the ground nice and earely you will know what I mean)
  15. Not really a question of the class of Marius but wether it was the right move for ICT, the answer is clearly no.
  16. No, he was clearly unfit and lacking in confidence, he was not going to shine for quite a time. The difference in his class/goal scoring would be the great leveller re his salary compared to the other players. He was unlikely to do this given the above and it was obviously going to create tension and resentment in the squad, which it clearly has.
  17. NO! Marius was only going to be judged on the goals that he scored for the team. He has not delivered. It has not proved to be a worthwhile experiment. The issues surrounding his pay seem to have caused some bad feeling not only amongst the squad but perhaps with the board as well? I believe he will go in the summer but doubt there will be a large fee, I cannot believe his agent will not have insisted on a clause allowing him to go if a certain offer comes in. If ICT get more than ?100,000 I will be amazed (very happily). ICT was clearly part of his rehabilitation and a stepping stone to bigger things - he was never here for the long haul. If Wyness or Bayne had played all the games that he has played this season I believe we would have scored as many goals.
  18. Blackieforce empty your personal message box as I have some info for you which be useful but am not sure it should be posted on the forum for all to read
