  1. nice assessment I can see where you are coming from, but remember he did leave his "comfort zone" to take over as manager when he had a safe job in the commercial department at the club. He should be applauded for that. He wasn't ready as a manager, a few years at a lower division club would have prepared him for the role. I still think CC will one day be a successful manager.
  2. Not true, us more mature experienced players ( ahem ) used our silky skills and let you youngsters do the running. :023: hmmm! :023: and i was the only young one doing any running! Think I scored about 8 or 9?? :blah01: Yeah, but 7 were offside... :015: Seriously though, great game, good turnout, looking forward to next week. :021:

  4. Game on, full size nets, hope for 7 a side. I forgot about the Man U / barca game when deciding a start night, but should still be enough for a game. Probably more entertainment at Balloch. Drochit Blue, your in box is full!
  5. Should we be excited ? ::) Yes :crazy07: That's all I'll say on the matter. :003: Calm down ! :015: :015: :015: Calm down?! Eh?! :015: It's not Calmdown Town is it? :029:
  6. A few dads from Balloch primary have signed up for Tuesday. Anyone else from the site?
  7. Count me in, easier than counting my strokes.
  8. Tuesday night is definitely on, see you all at Balloch pitch just before 8.
  9. "The World Cup", is that a big tournament? Our "ictory" in "67" was more satisfying than theirs the year before. Its all about perspective, innit. :003:
  10. This relevantly recent burst of English nationalism is directly related to the growth of support for Independance in Scotland. Our southern neighbours are genuinely jealous of the progress made by our Government and are now seeking independance for themselves. I think we should give it to them. :003:
  11. Next week, Tuesday 29th. As its on grass boots would be a good idea. See you all there.
  12. Only reason for booking pitch is that it guarantees availability, no hassle if anyone else wants to use it at same time. Is 8-9 okay for everybody?
  13. I have booked the Balloch Primary school pitch and nets for every Tuesday evening through the summer. I was thinking of 8 o'clock till 9, anyone interested?
  14. You would have thought so wouldn't you. Might just be a typo, bit worrying if not.
  15. Fares go up just days before a possible fuel shortage? Conspiracy anyone....................... :011:
  16. From the BBC Scotland website: "Highland Liberal Democrat MP, Danny Alexander, has sought reassurances from the industry that fuel Scotland's big cities will get priority over fuel deliveries and leave rural areas in short supply." :024:
  17. The connection between football players and girls is well documented, ask the Highland News to stop printing those "club scene" photographs every week. That would put anyone off coming here. Dualing the railway and the A9 would also help. :016:
  18. ICT need a store in Inverness city centre in order to compete with OF stores, and provide a better service the fans. There is a small lot in the railway station which used to be the office for the open top buses. This has been empty for ages and would be ideal for ticket and merchandise sales. I think the club should speak to Scotrail and investigate the possibilities for using this space. It will come down to money though. ( and ambition. )
  19. Lets face facts. We are currently a bottom six side, fortunate to be still an SPL side after this seasons farce. We will always be a bottom six side, or worse relegated, if the club do not address the fact that we still have a lot of empty seats for any game not involving the OF. I congratulate the various board members on their stewardship of ICT over the years, they deserve medals for what they have accomplished, but now is the time to concentrate on raising the gate at every home game, possibly the only thing I could fault them on in the past. If we do not achieve this we will always be struggling in the SPL, bigger gates mean better players, better players mean bigger gates. Tough choices have to be made. Now. I sincerely hope the current board can meet this challenge. Get our players into local schools, encourage the kids to ask their parents to take them to games, in short, make ICT the team local youngsters want to support. Managers and players come and go, it's the club that counts. I hope the board realise the reality of the situation and are prepared to do something about it. C'mon ICT.
