  1. Don't think we've had any really "consistent" players this season to be honest. A fact which, in itself, points to the problem not being with individuals. As has been said numerous times by numerous people...they can't all have turned into crap players at the same time.
  2. Would add at this point, as it's something which is the subject of a legal case then as per previous instances we cannot have people posting regarding facts of the case (assumed or otherwise) and/or opinions as to who they think is in the right or wrong. Anything of this nature will be removed, so can all users please keep that in mind if/when posting on the subject.
  3. "as yet" Steve. In other words, it's not been settled.
  4. Darn, I'm all out of coconuts....would you like one of these instead?

There's no "easy" games in the cup, and given our recent performance I might have been happier to get a "pay day", but even they are few and far between (and a lot less lucrative) these days even against the OF. Wouldn't mind it being Ayr as it's a break from the boredom of playing the same teams the whole time, but Killie games are historically decent affairs. Bring it on!!!!

Never said he had bought anyone and not necessarily having a go because we are signing players either. Although, had we not allowed certain players to leave so easily or pushed them out the door in some cases then we wouldn't have such widespread need to be signing so many players now. I am of the opinion that Brewster created the problem, and simply throwing money at it (as seems to be the boards plan to get us out of trouble) is not the whole solution. This is now his 3rd transfer window since returning and on the last two occasions new faces coming in have only given a short term boost and the overall direction of the team has been downward. This indicates to me that there's far more to the problem than the players and if we have to go through a major overhaul every time there's a transfer window in order to dig us out of the mire then we''ll have the administrators knocking on the door in the not too distant....or equally as bad, we won't be able to buy ourselves out of trouble and end up plummeting down the leagues. So yeah, on first sight the players signed this week seem to be up to doing a job, but for how long? and why have others who have come in in the past and looked like being up to the job dropped so far off the pace? why have players who have been here for longer suddenly dropped off the pace? They haven't all become bad players over night. I see nothing to suggest the signings made so far are anything other than a band aid. A band aid that might see us through this season, but not one that goes anywhere towards shoring up the underlying issues. It matters not a jot how pretty your house looks, it's still going to crumble around your ears if you've not got the proper foundations or it's not properly maintained. Maybe Brewster has learned, maybe it will be different going forward, but as I said, it's going to take more than a couple of wins and scraping survival this season to convince me.

My attitude hasn't changed in the slightest. I was never NOT behind the team as I thought, and still think, that problems lie elsewhere. The win yesterday changes nothing in that regard, and neither will a win against Hamilton next week. The damage is done and it will take more than a couple of wins/good performances to change my mind. IF Brewster manages to see out the season and things turn around it might go some way towards a change in my attitude, but I wouldn't hold your breath. Throwing a few quid at the problem might just bail us out this time, but we don't have the resources to be doing that twice a season every season. Continuing to support a manager who has to buy his way out of trouble is as much of a worry as anything else IMO. I fully expect the "Brewster can't win" accusations, and they are likely spot on where I am concerned. However, it was he who got himself into that situation...and he's a long way from getting him himself out of it.

Had someone bleeting in my ear earlier about the nature/quality of Morais goals and how he was "lucky" with both. He acknowledged himself that he was, but you still can't take anything away from the lad as you have to get yourself into the right position to take advantage of these situations. Best goal of the three was Vigurs though, for a young lad his composure on the ball is tremendous and had he placed that shot with perfection. Any further left or right and it would have been saved/gone wide. Under hit and it gets saved, too much on it and it goes over. I know I'm biased, but I would have picked that out as goal of the day from all the matches yesterday. Forget who it was that said that a performance like that of Morais not only lifts the player, but it can lift those around them as well, and I think that was definitely the case yesterday. I think Morais also answered any questions/concerns one or two had regarding the possible language barrier Couple of howlers of referee decisions in other games, the disallowed Spartan goal and the Hamilton Keeper handling outside the area being the pick of the bunch.
  15. Yes, I think we're very fortunate to have 2 more than capable keepers available. Noticed that Fraser had a couple of quick throws yesterday, one area where has been weak in the past, so good to see he's still progressing.

9 Nationalities representing ICT in a single game and not an Englishman in sight One question though....are we losing our "identity"? We've always taken pride in the fact that we've had a team of predominantly Scottish Players and have probably fielded more "all Scottish" line-ups in the past 15 years than anyone else (supposition, I have no facts to back it up and willing to be corrected). Does the influx of foreign players bother anyone from that point of view, or is it a case of whoever can do the job to take us forward? Personally, so long as the backbone of the club remains Scottish and we don't go down the road of ignoring more local talent for imported players as a matter of course, I'm not overly concerned. I want the best for the team, and if we have to look further afield for that from time to time, then fine.
  19. How can you use "tight budgetary restraints" and "Barrowman" in the same sentence? We let proven players who were earning less go in order to bring the lad into the squad. That's not the actions of someone working to budgetary restraints.....it's someone blowing the pot on unproven (at this level) players.
  20. The statement we received from the club stated....Clicky Clicky From that I would say that they will run however many buses are needed to meet demand. Secondly, the info we got on tickets stated it was pay at the gate, so no need to get tickets in advance....Clicky Clicky

I remember similar threads after the opening game of the season when everyone thought Barrowman was going to be the best thing since sliced bread. Not looking to knock the lad (Morais) and hope he does keep up with the goals, but let's not get ahead of ourselves.
  22. Do you walk backwards all the time or just at the football?
  23. Esson took a knock or something last week I think, so I'm guessing it's more a case of giving him the extra time to recover.
  24. What you really mean is...how many penalties will we concede?
  25. With weather as it is just now, and seeming like getting worse, I'm glad I decided to exercise my fair weather fan rights and stay home. Wind is so strong then any attempts at high/long ball will result in the Gringo's in Ardersier getting a ball through the window.
