  1. The team for this match could consist of just about anybody IMO. We will have players who have been pushed hard in the pre-season who will need to take it a little easier before the Rangers game and we will see fringe players who need more match preperation getting a run out. Part of me wants to see a full strength team to give a guage of what the season will bring, but another part of me wants to see us throw our youngesters out there and have them take C*unty apart purely for bragging rights.
  2. Start as we mean to go on - 3 at the back with Duncan sitting behind a middle 3 of Wilson, Black & Rankin and Hart sitting in front of that running at the defenders with Wyness and "take your pick" as a front pair to take advantage of a hard pressed back line.
  3. Can't believe we've got a non OF fan trying to put forward a defense for Barry "Side Pass" Ferguson
  4. Hart IS NOT a winger - I don't see why people constantly want to see him play there and that includes CC. He always has his best games when making runs from the centre of the pitch.
  5. Source of that information?
  6. Thank feck the new season is on the horizon, that's all I can say!!!
  7. Think you missed a space in that sentence HC :015:
  8. Noticed that, and fail to see how he could have signed a contract without a work permit being in place.
  9. Grabbed copies of all the pics Mantis/RiG - since the site upgrade is imminent I'll save myself duplication of effort by waiting till after that before uploading them to the site gallery.
  10. Virgin.....in Inverness......never :015:
  11. I was refering more to the idea of a pre-season tour - Italy was a training camp with a couple of games thrown in and although it would be nice to go see these things I can understand the clubs preference to concentrate on the team instead of the fans.
  12. Will drop you an e.mail.
  13. "Allegedly" it's not always been Erreas fault. Personally, as a fan/customer, the buck stops with the club on these matters. Either way I want to see a change of supplier purely from the point of view that Italian sizes are all at least 2 sizes smaller than you expect and even an XXXL doesn't fit over my man boobs.
  14. If it's alright with you guys I'll also get the pics added to the sites Gallery. Anyone else who has pics from pre-season (or any other game for that matter) and wants them added to the site gallery can e.mail them to me - donald at caleythistleonline dot com
  15. To answer the original question - we aren't due a new home top until season 2008/09 - if you mean the current one with the new sponsor logo then that's anyones guess. On the subject of our contract with Errea, I believe 2007/08 (the coming season) is the final year of the current deal. I really hope they do look elsewhere after that so I can actually get a shirt that fits...lol.
  16. I gave up worrying about the standard of our pre-season opponents a long time ago when it was explained to me, by people far more qualified to comment on such things than I, that pre-season friendlies were only a small part of a much larger closed/pre-season preparation programme and unless your aware of the type of day to day training the squad are doing then it's near impossible to gauge if the balance is right. Foreign training camps and pre-season tours are a luxury and are more about building player morale, team spirit and giving the fans an excuse for a wee jolly. That's not to say they can't be an important part of preparations, but they achieve nothing which can't be fulfilled in other more convenient and cheaper ways.
  17. He came on for the last 10 minutes (maybe 15) and did nothing....lol. Listened to the match on the radio and they spent more time yabbing on about Beckham and Posh and useless non game related guff that you could have been forgiven for thinking you'd tuned in to some kind of current affairs show instead of a football match.
  18. Tuesday
  19. I'll try and dumb it down for you in the future :004:
  20. Yeah, but four doesn't rhyme with heaven :015:
  21. After his TV performance and gloating about his move to Aberdeen only days after signing a new contract with us? That one act alone disqualifies him from ever appearing in any ICT Hall of Fame IMO. If he does I hope he gets the reception he deserves Just one other question I have, has the HoF been restricted to ex-players only? Their are a few notables on the non-playing front which would be worthy of a place and I'm sure I wouldn't be alone in hoping they were given consideration in future.
  22. Tell you what, come see me at the Rangers game and help me get it through my thick head :015:
  23. Other than Caff in for Dods I don't see CC making any other changes to the squad we start out with this season. Having watched Dean MacDonald against Clach the lad looked pretty nervous out there on the park, possibly down to the fact it was his first appearance in front of more than a handful of ICT fans. Was nice to see him get a bit of support though and even better to see him acknowledge the guys at the end who were chanting his name, even if he did look a bit shy about it...lol. I also think he has a bit of work to do yet to get properly match fit - he looks a strong player despite being so small but shedding a few pounds to gain a bit more speed wouldn't do him any harm IMO (think Barry Wilson before Brewster straightened him out). I do however expect to see a potentially strong bench consisting a few new faces. Despite our owning Rangers last season it is as big a game as we could have opened with and would be a bit of a baptism of fire for the young guys if they were thrown in from the start. It's the kind of situation where, if it goes wrong, it could set young up and coming players back more than anything. Tried and tested is my prediction for the Rangers game with "super-sub" appearances from Niculae and maybe Zander offering up some fresh legs in the last 20-25 minutes.
