  1. I see the Highland News is reporting that Andrew Shinnie is a target for Sheffield United.
  2. I thought we played alright, living a bit dangerously at the though! As others have said, Danny Devine was very good, as was Meekings and Jones. Ross was good in the first half, but didn't seem as in it as much in the second. Doran doesn't have much in the way of a final ball and is often guilty of taking a couple of touches too many, particularly when the ball came to him in the box in the second half - he took an extra touch to stop, when he should have just rifled it home. The one thing I thought we were a bit guilty of was not pressing the United defence enough. I'd rather see us get more up and at him as it was on Saturday at Hearts. It'll be interesting to see what Butcher does with the defence for Saturday. I presume Foran will replace Ross up top, and almost certainly Warren will come back in. Who will drop out though? Can't see him dropping Raven and moving Meekings to the right, so I wonder if he'll go with Devine, who's had two great games in a row, and drop Meekings to the bench, as opposed to going with the regular partnership. We'll have to wait and see.

  4. Wonder how the defence will be then if he's still out then? Devine and Cooper maybe?
  5. It'll be interesting to see the defence with Warren out. I presume Meekings was suspended for the Hearts game and will thus slot in next to Devine?
  6. I was just going to mention him actually. Is he still actually here? He got an injury in the warm-up prior to the 4-1 Motherwell defeat at Fir Park months ago and it was reported he'd be out for a couple of weeks (there was even one report prior to the game the following week saying how he wouldn't be quite ready for that game). That was months ago! Is he still injured then, or has he left the building?
  7. you got anything to back that up? Before he came to Inverness he had never played at RB... and was Ipswich Under 18's captain at CB? Correct. Meekings was billed as a centre-back when he signed. He also stated this in an interview with him on Alba last season.
  8. I thought Ngoo was pretty rubbish.
  9. I know he was never an official player, but does anyone else remember that afternoon in Dingwall a few years ago when French trialist Giany Joinville turned out in an ICT shirt? Goodness me he was bad! One of, if not the worst players I have ever seen!
  10. Nah, this was a guy up the back to the left, who berated Esson constantly and ranted and raved about how much he hated him, much to the annoyance of some people around him, particularly me!
  11. I'd like to see him as captain when Foran's out.
  12. I thought we played quite well myself. About ten times better than the Motherwell game and looked more like the team we were when we went on that great run of form.
  13. Did anyone else hear that guy shouting and constantly making stupid remarks about Esson yesterday? I was going to say that he was doing it for ninety minutes but I actually started before the teams had even come out! What an embarrassment.
  14. I didn't know Grant Munro had signed for the Dunfermline youth team!
  15. He's one of the best centre backs we've ever had at ICT. In fact I'd go on to say he's the best since Bobby Mann.
  16. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/21557895 So Dundee sack Barry Smith to replace him with.... John "Bomber" Brown!!

  18. Robert Eagle was pretty rubbish.
  19. I'd agree with that in a sense. After Proctor came back from Dundee United, he had a couple of season where he was a decent player. He was finished though after the season when we won Division One and was pretty rotten towards the end. Lionel on a good day (rare I know!) could be very good. On a bad day though..... Here's a couple more to throw out there - Rory McAllister (can't believe he's not been mentioned already!) - He was rubbish. Garry Wood - Like a bigger McAllister, also rubbish. A poor man's Shane Sutherland. Greg Tansey - Billed before he signed a great ball player, who'd turned down Liverpool to get more game time and was seen by some to be a true replacement for Ian Black. Ran around like a headless chicken, did basically nothing for a season and then disappeared at the first chance he got!
  20. I wouldn't have said Blackman was one of the worst. From what I saw of him, he was a decent player, but obviously was a bit of a nugget off the park. Aldred was maybe in the same boat - decent player, just had no interest in being here. Richie Byrne surely would have to be in there, perhaps he's ruled out there as having never played (probably because he was so rubbish!). Bulvitus was pretty rotten a lot of the time too. Can't disagree much with the rest though.

  22. Oh dear! Can't see Butcher going to a team like that to be honest. I think it would take a Birmingham, Crystal Palace, Cardiff kind of team to make him leave ICT.
  23. IMO the only league games that police would be needed at the TCS would be Celtic and Ross County, and possibly Aberdeen. Is there really going to be any trouble in games against the likes of St Mirren, Kilmarnock, Dundee etc? Seems like a waste of time and money for the police to be there, to be honest.
  24. I'm not sure if it's been mentioned already, but there didn't seem to be any police at the game on Saturday and there was no segregation apart from the seating (so much so that upon arrival, I accidentally wandered into the home end!), with both sets of fans using the same pie stalls and toilets etc. Supposedly this is quite common at Fir Park, unless it's a big game. I would have thought as well that this'll save Motherwell police costs in the process. Surely this is something ICT should look into in the future?
