  1. Maybe they asked him... Have you ever been on RangersMedia? They go nuts over everything!
  2. I know this is a bit off topic, but the figure I've heard is that Butcher's on about £100,000 per year. Don't know about Malpas, but I presume about £70,000ish. In Steve Paterson's book he says he was on (IIRC) £72,000 a year when he was here, so I presume that the aforementioned wage for Butcher is about right. Is it just me, or do ICT either on the pitch or elsewhere have a real problem with blowing it? This is another one of those real head in hands moments. I literally sat reading his comments things "what's he on about?!".
  3. Evidence please. PS - No. Not while the club continue to punt hard working, reliable and loyal players, with injury prone and/or untalented journeymen who've little interest in sticking around.
  4. Indeed, a daft thing to come out with right now. By the sound of things, Cameron used his decision to play the fans like an organ, in the hope that the SFL would do his dirty work for him. He's gone down in my estimations. Ever get that feeling you've been used?
  5. £1,200 a week for a guy who's going to be sitting on the bench all season.....yet "hands were tied" when it came to Tokely.
  6. I'm sure ICT won't be the only club having discussions over finance this weekend, it's just the first one to be reported about.
  7. Apparently, Sky Sports is reporting that ICT are to have an emergency board meeting this weekend as a result of the financial implications of Rangers, or Sevco 5088 to give them their proper name, being voted to Division Three. Surely things can't be that bad.......can they?
  8. I think the players are already there. People like Ross, Morrison and Jones seem like decent ball players to me and McKay would certainly benefit more if the ball was played to him on the grass, not from the stratosphere.
  9. Here's an idea - ICT and all the other SPL clubs lobby the SPL to move all games scheduled for 3PM between November and February to be moved to 1PM. That would cut costs as there would be less of a need for floodlights. What about putting solar panels on the roof of each stand? That might be quite costly in the beginning but may pay for itself as time goes on. There's also sometimes subsidies that comes with having these sorts of things.
  10. History seems to show that ICT are always more successful when they play on the attack and keeping the ball on the deck. Just the way it is for some reason.
  11. I don't think "winning football" does bring people through the gates. If ICT were to win a couple more games a season, by playing mind-numbingly boring football, attendances would still be going down. What people want to see (and something that was lacking last season), is team playing with heart and with passion, not necessarily always winning - but really going for it. Play like that and even if it leads to a defeat, fans won't turn away. People would always rather see one exciting win and two exciting defeats, than three boring draws.

Agree with most of the above. I actually thought McKay was quite good - he certainly put the effort in and Sutherland is quite simply not a winger. Morrison was alright but evidently full back is not his position, Graeme Shinnie was quite good and I was also impressed by the number 2 (Cooper?). By the way, was Terry Butcher there last night? I saw Maurice Malpas, but I never spotted Butcher.
  13. there was a time when i thought he would make a good player for us, but it wasnt to be i still think he could climd the sfl ladder to the second division or lower first if he wanted it enough. it wouldnt surprise me if elgin, or peterhead snap him up in the next couple years. i heard that he almost made it at caley but his attitude stinks I've heard that as well. Remember he was on loan with Elgin while he was here, if they'd seen something in him they'd have tried to sign properly then. He did have some ability, but he's probably blown his chance now.
  14. Funnily enough I almost always have someone else with me for the OF games (not an OF fan I'll add, rather usually ICT fans who pick and choose their games more) and other games against some of the better teams. So in answer, almost certainly yes, there will be another paid for seat in the ground as a result of me having a season ticket. In recent times though, ICT could do more on the field to encourage more fans to come. I've heard from quite a few people who are less keen to go now, due to having to watch the long ball garbage that was served up week after week last season. This coming season will be the most level playing field the SPL has ever seen. Playing attacking football will create a more exciting atmosphere which people (particularly those who pick and choose their games) will be more keen to come and see and thus financially support the club in the process.
  15. Celtic only got into Europe last season by default and even then fell at the first hurdle. I can't see them do any better any time soon.
  16. Celtic didn't sell out their allocation the last time they were here - at least I could see quite a few empty seats. Celtic are a team who have for decades hijacked religion and exploited sectarianism for their own gain. I would never sell my soul for that lot.
  17. I am a North Stand Season Ticket holder, and my answer is absolutely not. When Celtic come to town, there's enough nuggets in the stadium as there is, more so now they've been given them the West Stand as well. Don't give the club ideas.
  18. I think they're just U19s. From what I remember, I'm sure Buckie put highlights up on their website.
  19. Never said he wouldn't stick around, just the final line could well give one that sort of impression. Makes it sound like ICT are some sort of hotel....or prison! I also said "I hope he's good". That's rather positive don't you think? Would you rather I said "I hope he's rubbish"!?
  20. I thought the same! Hope he's good mind.
  21. If he's only planning two more signings, then I can't say I'm very confident about the new season. I wonder of Polworth, Laing and Pepper are part of the "seven".
  22. If ICT sign another winger, I'd like to see how Doran could get on up top. I think having him as part of a front two or three alongside a finisher could work very well indeed, kind of similar to what Paterson did with Barry Wilson a decade or so ago.
  23. Ah I see! Have played them before there mind.
  24. Renegade replied to Libero's topic in General Football
What a nugget. Still wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't actually sign for them though!
  25. Just out of interest, why are the club bothering to play a club that's a bit out on a limb. The town doesn't even have a train station. Wouldn't ICT be better off playing Nairn like County are instead. They might get a bit of a bigger crowd for that as well.
