  1. Finishing-wise I would say Rooney was the better of the too, but McKay has a far better work rate.
  2. Bring back Golobart!
  3. It's those Muslim Extremists this time as well!
  4. Looks like it. I'm getting the same thing.

  6. That was my first thought as well.
  7. What can I say that hasn't already been said? ICT were excellent. Had it been a horse race, the horse would've fallen at the second hurdle and would have had to be put down. ICT were fantastic. Granted, the first half was fairly even but the second half was pure bombardment. ICT took the game to Rangers and were all the better for it. Gone are the days of hoofing it long and hoping for the best, this was attacking clinical football. All were fantastic; Reguero was good, Meekings and particularly Warren were strong and sturdy, the Shinnies were excellent, Doran was a constant threat, McKay ran himself into the ground, Jones and Draper passed it superbly, breaking up almost every Sevco attack before it could even get started and David Raven played out of his skin. Roberts was fairly quiet to begin with, but came into the game more as it went on. Even Pepper was dangerous in the little time that was left. The momentum is with ICT now. We CAN win the cup.
  8. But the first to beat them. I told you so!

  10. Who'd have thought you get deemed a bigot (or biggot on this case), just by using the word "the"!
  11. But the first to beat them.
  12. Some may remember that when Brewster was sacked, the original odds had Butcher tied with Steve Paterson at 25-1 to get the job (John Robertson was the runaway favourite at that time, with Butcher behind people such as Jim Duffy, Ian MacCall and Gordon Chisholm in the list to get the job). When Paul Jewell was sacked, Butcher was 40-1 to get the Ipswich job. The next day he was 12-1, now he's dropped as low as 3-1 in some cases. The bookies are not often wrong. Do they know something we don't? Another question I have is has Jewell's assistant manager also been sacked? Surely if Butcher got the job, he'd want to take Malpas with him (he tried to do that at Sydney but their board wouldn't let him), but would he be allowed to be? If not, and Butcher takes the job and has to keep the already appointed assistant, would that see Malpas promoted to ICT manager. Surely that strikes fear into every right thinking ICT fan. His managerial record makes Craig Brewster's look like a relative success. In all honesty, I think the whole thing comes down to the game on Wednesday. If ICT beat Rangers, that will bring him attention on a national basis. People in Ipswich who are unsure about him or see him as an acceptable choice will soon want him. People who don't want him, may well change their mind and people that do want him, will want him even more. This Wednesday could well mean everything.

  14. Well that is correct. For all we know, he might have bought it as somewhere to go back to on his holidays (he does head back down Lowestoft way in the summer I believe) or for use later on. I was reading somewhere as well, that apparently Ipswich have a 40 name list that they're looking at. I would presume Butcher is on that list. I doubt though that he'd be offered the job.
  15. While Butcher has always been fairly complimentary towards the Highlands, we should always take this stuff with a pinch of salt. Of course, while he may feel that way, one of the main reasons he's been so vocal about it is to get people on his side and in some cases, eating out of his hand. He did the exact same when he went to Sydney. And as I alluded in my previous post, the rumours regarding him buying a house in the south of England ARE true.
  16. Aye I think that's him.
  17. Was he the number 10? If he was (and I didn't recognise him at the time), I thought he was very good. Edit - I'd probably have been able to tell you from the picture in that link, but by the looks of things he wishes to remain anonymous!
  18. You are obsessed! But also in this case correct. IMO Butcher probably would leave for Ispwich, it is the club he supported and played for after all. Whether he'd be offered it or not though is a different story.

    Having Faith

The team are on a good run just know, and credit must go the management for the part they played in that. There are though, still many months of the season ahead and many battles still to fight.
  20. Did anyone else see that big flag the County fans unveiled just before kick off? You can see it on the highlights. It's a big demented looking thing, showing what the spawn of an eagle and thistle would be! I thought it was quite funny actually!
  21. The only time I recollect it happening was the Elgin game in the cup a couple of seasons back, when the Elgin keeper got it (to be fair he was very good). I thought at the time though that maybe because it was a cup game, things might be different. Seems about half the time though I don't know which game the choosers are watching!
  22. Reguero can play as both a striker and a keeper apparently.
  23. I watched the game "as live" on BBC Alba. Did anyone else see the penalty shout for Dundee towards the end of the first half? The ball ran across the 6 yard box, and to me it looked like Warren looked for and then backed into the incoming Dundee striker, which thus brought him down. Some who were at the game may have had a better view of it, but from what I saw and the subsequent replays of it, it looked like a penalty to me and probably a red card for Warren too. Could have changed the game that.
  24. I'm not so sure he would at this time personally. I think he'd be a good choice though.
