  1. There is little to no chance of any of those players signing.
  2. Kyle Allison. He played against ICT as a "guest player" a few years ago for Clach at Grant Street. It was because the regular Clach goalie was on holiday at the time IIRC!
  3. Wow what an inspiring post! It is pretty unique. I can't think of any other Scottish club, certainly not in the league system anyway with red and blue stripes. No doubt you'll be able to name tons though....
  4. From The Sun article - So the game was called off due to a four yard strip in-front of the dug-outs?! What a farce! And here's another thing. If the drainage system was to blame and was set up incorrectly, it was County's job to ensure that it was working properly. If it is the case that the derby and the Hearts game would have been playable had it not been for their own incompetence, then both Inverness and Hearts should be awarded 3-0 victories.
  5. I was told that prior to the 1-1 Hearts game, Robert's was informed by Arsenal that he was going to be released at the end of his contract. This was a reason that was thus given for his half-hearted performance in that game. The choice to keep him longer was ICT's decision. Arsenal have apparently also made their's.
  6. Slightly better than the last couple of years, but then again that's not difficult! Still garbage though.
  7. Steve Williams! Sadly we never got to sing that imortal tune - "Stevie Williams, you're a barber, you're a barber!"
  8. Was Oswell not signed with the intention of using him more in future seasons and less so in this one?
  9. Think it would be better if celtic win that one which will keep us in second place. How's that going to help us win the title?!
  10. Celtic Pavels Mihadjuks Richie Hart Bobby Mann John Robertson (in a friendly!) Alex MacDonald (defender who never played), Alex McDonald (on loan from Burnley), Dean McDonald (rubbish English striker), John MacDonald (trialist I think but did play in two competitive matches, one of which he scored in). That's all I can think of! Unless it is just "Mac"'s you're looking for, then it's just one or two! Can't think of any Campbells! Michael Higdon Steve Watt? Mihadjuks, Fetai, Niculae, MacSwegan, Hastings? Make that five? Depends what you describe as best! I'd say - Nicky Walker; Ross Tokey, Grant Munro, Stuart Golabek, Richard Hastings; Barry Wilson, Richie Hart, Iain Vigurs; Graham Bayne, Stevie Hislop, Gary MacSwegan (at least he was capped!)
  11. They definitely do have covers because we used to borrow them occasionally before we got ours. In saying that, unless they have got new ones, the old ones no longer fit as they widened the pitch in the summer....but ours would fit and they know they can borrow them from us if needed. However, as I said above, from talking to one or two people it seems covering the pitch would make no difference due to the nature of the issue. They may have had them in the past. They don't have them now.
  12. Dingwall don't have pitch covers apparently.
  13. Sorry for bringing up an old topic, but strangely I've just found a kind of highlights reel from that trialist match! The video was put up this guy Brandon Finlay, who seems to be some Canadian players with an awful taste in music! I'm not sure if this is from a different year, but I believe this was the game that involved Andrew Shinnie, Tade and Conor Pepper. Edit - At the start as well, the number 9 with his back to the camera looks to me like Jason Oswell.
  14. HT - Saints 1-1 ICT FT - Saints 1-2 ICT Saints 1st scorer - Vine ICT 1st scorer - McKay Attendance - 3,472 1st yellow - Draper
  15. Richard Brittain please. A good set piece taker is the one thing ICT are lacking at the moment and would also mean County hurtle even closer towards relegation!
  16. I heard a while back that Arsenal weren't going to keep him after the end of this season. Don't know how true that is, but that's what I was told.
  17. HT - ICT 1-1 Saints FT - ICT 2-1 Saints McKay Thompson 3,517 Yellow - Van Zanten
  18. I see Derek's got company. Danny Lennon claims the ICT fixture has ruined Christmas! http://www.scotsman.com/sport/football/spl/inverness-trip-has-ruined-christmas-says-danny-lennon-1-2707300 Good! I hope we make it worse!
  19. I think if you want to see what a club would look like had they not merged with the other and had remained in the Highland League, look no further than to the bright lights of Grant Street Park. I went to see Clach play Formartine last season (to see what Paterson's new team was like and to witness another another performance by the legendary Bobby Mann!) and Clach had barely any fans. Literrally no more than twenty or thirty! Formartine to be fair brought a few, but there was hardly any for the home side. Whose to say that had Caledonian or Thistle remained in that league, while the other entered the national leagues that they would not now be suffering a similar fate?
  20. Nice to see they've been signed up for longer than these dreaded one year deals (or six months in some cases!).
  21. Absolutely, it's unique within the Scottish game, displays an intertwining of Inverness Thistle and Caledonian and would end the calls of the club showing a bias towards the latter. I also believe that a Caledonian style home shirt and Thistle away is a ridiculous idea that would do nothing more than open up old wounds. Bring back the stripes!
  22. There used to be graffiti saying "abandon hope" there, though part of it is now painted over.
  23. HT - ICT 1-0 Dundee FT - ICT 3-1 Dundee ICT 1st scorer - McKay Dundee 1st scorer - Nish Attendance - 3,147
  24. That's a shame. I thought he was quite promising from what I saw of him.
  25. Interesting that Butcher mentions signing Billy McKay up on a new deal. I thought he was already signed up for next season. Positive to see (as was reported in this and one of the newspapers), that Butcher's very confident of signing the Shinnies up for next season and says to expect an announcement in the coming days. Not too fussed about the possibility of no new signings though really. The only area I can think of where there's little cover for no is at centre-back. I know Cooper's on the bench, but he's only young and there seems to be little sign of a return for either Hogg or King. Bring back Golobart!
