I see Chris Killen has scored 17 in 35 for the Chinese team he plays for. That's a good record (don't know what the standard there is though - probably not very high). Think he'd be a great signing mind. He's still a New Zealand international as well of course.
  2. Don't know if you could officially count him, but the trialist Giany Joinville had to have a mentioned. He was so bad it was funny! He Lionel Djebi-Zadi look like Roberto Carlos!
  3. In your opinion, what has been Lee Cox's best game in a Caley shirt? I can't think of a particular game off the top of my head, but I do remember him being an integral part of the side that went on to win the First Division at the first time of asking (the first time it had been done in about ten years). What must be remembered here is that when he came he was a straight replacement a similar player in Ian Black who signed for Hearts and had been an extremely important and prominent player for the club for about four or five seasons - Cox more than filled the void that was left. Since joining ICT in 2009, Lee has made 60 appearances for Caley, scoring 3 goals. Out of the 3 goals, do any of them stand out as a favourite? Probably his ninetieth minute winner in the first game of the 2009/10 season away to Dunfermline Athletic. That was also his league debut for ICT. What type of player is Lee? A battling central midfielder who isn't afraid to get stuck in and can play the ball well. He can also play as a right full back though this is not his main position. What are your thoughts on Lee's current ability, any room for improvement? He has ability and is at an age where he can only improve, so really just improve on what he already has. He has potential though, that's for sure. Paolo Di Canio has been known to get the best out of the Swindon players- most notably Simon Ferry, Matt Ritchie, Paul Caddis and Aden Flint. Do you consider Lee to have any strengths or weaknesses, and do you think Paolo could improve his game? I think as I said previously, just continue on the road he is taking. He has potential and many capabilities that make him a good central midfielder and just needs to keep working on the attributes he already has in order to become the best player he can be. The one weakness he maybe has it that at times he does seem rather injury-prone. Just how much will Caley miss Lee? There has certainly been mixed reactions after Inverness supporters finding out an offer had been accepted. I think you have to remember that £25,000 is a lot of money to a club like ICT - particularly when that player could leave for free in a few months anyway. While he is a good player and most would rather he would stay, he isn't in my opinion as good as some of the other central midfielders at the club. Andrew Shinnie, Greg Tansey and the currently long term injured Welsh international Owain Tudur Jones would probably be regarded as better options at this time. It's also the case that the club captain and former striker Richie Foran seems to have been converted to a defensive midfielder recently and has produced some admirable performances, again perhaps leaving Cox out of the starting eleven. And finally, what can Swindon fans expect of Lee? A hard battling central midfielder, who won't shy away from a challenge, can pick a pass and will chip in with the odd goal now and then. His attitude too is maybe something to mention. This can also be seen from when he first came to Inverness from Leicester City. Before the start of the season, he hurt his arm badly after falling through a glass table! Despite being advised to take a break and not risk further injury to it, he was adamant that he would play anyway, and did so while wearing a very noticeable cast. During this time he produced some excellent performances, which perhaps sums up the attitude he has as a player and another attribute which he will bring to Swindon Town.
  4. A strong, powerful attacking set up for me putting Celtic under as much pressure as possible - Esson Meekings Tokely Williams Gillet Hayes Tansey Foran Gnakpa Tade Sutherland Subs - Tuffey, Piermayr, G.Shinnie, McKay, Winall
  5. Disappointed, as ICT should have won that game. There was four or five really good chances in the second half and how at least one of them didn't go in I'll never know - but with the clock winding down and appearing at times that Nick Ross was playing as the lone striker, what did you expect? Nobody was really at their best today, apart from Gillet - he was the best player on the pitch by an absolute mile. Tokely was okay, Hayes had his moments and the new guy Gnakpa showed that he offers something new. Tade and Foran didn't have one of their better games by their standards - the latter in particularly was flying in all over the place, and his booking was stupid on his part. Also, how does Nick Ross stay on the field for ninety minutes? He seems awfully weak and really doesn't add much to the team at all. With the game there for the taking, it should of been him that was hooked instead of Tade or Sutherland. Anyway, another clean sheet. Not too bad I suppose, but ICT really should of won that.
  6. Oh dear, I see whoever runs the ICT Fans Twitter page thought that he was a new player!
  7. Indeed, and Richie Foran was only getting a game for the Southend reserve team apparently. According to someone on P&B who's seen him play him, he's great at right wing but dreadful as a defender. If anything, at least he sounds exciting!
  8. I saw him with Tade this afternoon in Starbucks. Just thought I'd share that with you.
  9. Indeed, even though the OP says he wouldn't like to see it, it shouldn't even have been put forward.
  10. Just out of interest, how do you pronounce his name?! Jinack-Pa?
  11. A straight 4-4-2 for me - Esson Meekings Tokely Williams Gillet Hayes Foran Tansey Sutherland Tade McKay Subs - Tuffey, G.Shinnie, Piermayr, Proctor, Ross, Morrison, Doran Hogg, A.Shinnie, Golobart and Jones are all out, though the latter is back to full training I believe. Don't know about Doran but even if he is only half fit I'd stick him on the bench just in case.
  12. I think I'd offer him all a deal myself apart from Proctor, who's way way past it. I must say mind, I'm not a fan of these one year deals as we seem to go through the same shenanigans every season! I can see Tuffey going myself, unless Esson wants away and I think it's safe to say that Foran will stay put as long as Butcher is here. Tokely is someone I definitely would offer a new deal to. Even if he wasn't to play every week, I still think that even from the bench he'd have something to offer (kind of like what Mourinho did with Materazzi at Inter). I have heard from some sources though, that Butcher wants rid and this season WILL be his last. Edit - Owain Tudur Jones is also out of contract after this season as is Andrew Shinnie IIRC.
  13. If Twitter are quite happy to have Gary Glitter twittering away, kind of says something about their ethics when it comes to this type of stuff.

  15. Niculae - he got Player of the Month the same month Brewster got Manager of the Month. January 2008 I think it was.
  16. Oh yeah I remember he brought that in, not long after he came here. What it not called the "Circle of Unity" or something daft like that?
  17. I actually feel that giving Rangers and Celtic the West Stand and part of the Main Stand was a mistake. Now people will say that the club will get more money, but I don't care, ICT ain't going to go bust because of it. It used to be that the OF fans were off at the other end, but now that they're in the West Stand as well, they aren't far from the North Stand at all, particularly those that sit over towards the right of it and I thought the atmosphere was far more tense because of it. Lets take Rangers out of the equation here - the only team that ever seems to contribute any crime/arrests/problems/damage at the Caley Stadium is Celtic. Now, anyone who's ever been to Celtic Park will tell you and I've had fans of other clubs tell me that this isn't unique to us, the atmosphere there is dreadful. At Ibrox and essentially other stadium in the country the home fans either sit and watch the game, or if you do get any grief, it's from 14 year old neds. Not at Parkhead. Forget what some people say about it only being "small pockets" or "minorities" of troublemakers, no, a good chunk of the Celtic home crowd are nothing but scum. The last time I was there I witnessed adults with kids shouting at the ICT fans really for no reason at all! I even saw one bloke sitting with his son who must have been no older than eight or nine. The Green Brigade did some stupid banner/camp looking card presentation and this idiot shouts in-front of his son at the small section of ICT fans - "Look! That's how you do it! That's how you do it!" His son will almost certainly grow up to be no different from him, ie - a moron. These people are idiots. Absolute idiots. We should try and keep the amount we let in the Caley Stadium at an absolute minimum and weed out the one who try and infect the home end, if not they'll be more trouble at games as time goes on, and knowing Celtic, it'll be "our fault".
  18. Gillet is banned for this one. of course and Williams can't be involved - Esson Piermayr Tokely* Golobart G.Shinnie Hayes Foran Tansey Doran Tade McKay Subs - Tuffey, Cox, Sutherland, Meekings, A.Shinnie - If Tokely is out, Meekings comes in with Ross coming onto the bench.
  19. I think Gillet is one of those players who you could put in any position and would always put in a good shift.
  20. Richie Foran can speak it - the Irish version anyway.
  21. The video clearly shows it's the number 10 who goes down. Barrowman was number 9.
  22. I'm pretty sure it was Brewster. He was signed on the last day of the January transfer window in Brewster's first season back after he'd replaced Christie after three games. What was the deal with him leaving by the way? Seem to recollect Butcher singing praises and saying he should be in the Scotland team at one point. Did they not fall out or something in the end?
  23. It'll be interesting to see in what way Williams will come into the team. I think it's fair to assume that if Tokely is available, then he will play. But what of Golobart? Will he be relegated to the bench? Could there be a switch to a back three system? Will WIlliams come straight in? I wonder as well, if he will, with Golobart getting a chance up-front, the other position he can play.
  24. Aye apart from that one they did win - a sending off which you thought was the correct decision of course despite the referee admitting he was wrong........
  25. Yeah I'm pretty sure Accies paid about £25,000 (the same as Dundee United) for him. I'm sure Brewster signed him for about double that mind. Like others were saying, if you look at his actual attributes as a footballer, he's got qualities that make him very good - just a shame he doesn't seem to realise that there are other people in the team as well........
