  1. Here's what you said - Not much different or "selective" about it. Just the fact the word "never" and "ever" aren't there, but the crux of the thing is essentially the same.
  2. See with the match footage only being allowed 3 mins, do things such as goal celebrations count as "match action", players coming on and off the pitch, etc and allowed under the "3 minute" rule? What about manager/player interviews after the game? Also, what are the rules regarding live coverage? I believe Falkirk broadcast all their home games live over the internet for foreign based supporters.
  3. Dont think any of them will end up at Hamilton , dont think they'll be at TCS next season either . Ok DC, the purveyor of doom and gloom, where do you think that all 3 of these players will end up? I think they're destined for bigger and better things . Sorry if thats not the answer your looking for but I like to live in the real world and therefore say it as I see it . your world sounds p!sh Is this the same world whereby he said that "We'd never ever see Stuart Duff in an ICT shirt", and then he turned out for ICT the next day!?
  4. Maybe he's off to raid ICT again for new recruits. He's already got the wannabe male model Richard Hastings and of course, Dougie "Don't you know who I am?" Imrie!
  5. Maurice Malpas is one of those people who are a better assistant than an out and out manager. He, like Donald Park before him I believe are one of those perfect people to work behind the scenes doing a lot of the under-rated and little known work that goes on. As an out and out manager, his record his rather poor at best, which shows that he is probably a better coach/assistant manager, than a proper manager. On the other hand mind, has anyone else seen the enthusiasm he shows when he warms up the players before the games? Come on Maurice how about a smile sometimes eh! :D
  6. For me - Esson Tokely-----Bulvitis------Munro-----Golabek Cox Duncan Hayes Sanchez Rooney Foran Subs - Allison, Odhiambo, Proctor, McBain, Eagle/Ross/Djebi-Zadi A straight 4-3-3 for me, Sanchez comes back while Odhaimbo moves to the bench (I'd put him on in a "super sub" kind of role, and unleash a bit of speed with about half an hour or so to go). From what I've seen, Proctor isn't at the top of his game just now so Bulvitis comes back in, while Proctor moves to the bench. Not a million miles away from the current system, just a bit more attack orientated, with Johnny Hayes being given the free roam of either wing, which could at times transform this rather fluid formation into a 4-2-4. Tactics are simple, keep the ball on the deck as much as possible (none of this mindless hoofing nonsense) and play some nice, attractive, attacking football and win the league in style!
  7. Graeme Bennet's son took off his shoes?
  8. Will that be Golly out now as well?
  9. If the results went the way that ICT could win the league at Ayr, would the club be able to provide a free travel service for supporters like they did for the Hamilton game last season? I feel this would be a great way for a large away crowd to cheer on the team to win it that day. Thoughts
  10. Edit (again) - Morton 1st scorer - Wetherson
  11. Formation will probably be like this then - Esson Proctor-----Tokely-----Munro-----Golabek --------------Cox-------Duncan------------- Hayes----------Odhiambo------------Foran -------------------Rooney--------------------

  13. That old women , what was her name? Mee or something? She seems to have disappeared. And what about Arab4Ever?
  14. What's that supposed to mean? My points are always fair and interesting!
  15. It would look a lot better if it didn't have the shiny big badge in the middle.
  16. It has to be Danni Sanchez. Whilst it is true that Odhaimbo has scored a couple of goals of late, goals are not the be all and end all of a good performance. Despite his goals recently, most Odhiambo performances have been somewhat poor and as I said on another thread, all Odhiambo does in that position is get clattered because he's too small and lightweight to play there, nor can he ping the ball out wide in the way that Sanchez can. For me, it's a no brainer. When Sanchez is on the park, ICT play a better and more effective style of play. Despite Eric's recent goals, I believe contributing to a good team display and in the process setting up and making goals is just as, if not a more important contribution. Odhiambo doesn't do this, Sanchez does.
  17. I think we'll almost certainly see a defence of - Proctor-----Tokely-----Bulvitis-----Golabek For Cox, I (sadly) think that Stratocaster will keep his place.

    4-5-1

Telt. :D I see you have nothing to say again. I don't really know what you'd describe as "cracking" about it. A lot of the time it is long ball football, and still a somewhat defensive mindset for large chunks of games. The only time ICT play good attacking football, from what I can see, is only (like the last game) in the last few minutes, or in the second half when a more urgent style of play is being brought in and ICT are going all out for a winner (or equaliser if the case may be).

Where's the clutching at straws smiley? Anyway, as I said earlier these are two different scenarios. If ICT went 4-4-2 today, and it didn't work, then yes by all means the formation can be changed back, but that is a very different scenario than the team selection for the last game of last season. Of course that won't be good enough for though will it...? :D Not always a case of something "not working", but when something has run it's course. I am firmly in the "if it aint broke dont fix it" camp too ...... 4-2-3-1 may not be the most orthodox formation, and it may not be easy on the lone striker for much of the game but in our case it is working and that striker - the division's top scorer by a country mile - is not suffering too much as it is easily adaptable for the attacking players to get up and support him. If we were actually losing games or not scoring goals then maybe you might have a point Renegade but quite frankly this suggestion seems ludicrous in the extreme as we go into the last 5 games especially as we all know that it takes time for players to get to grips with any new formation or system. True, but things do run their courses, and IMO it has now happened with this.

    4-5-1

That's an apples and oranges scenario. There's a bit of difference in the shape a team are fielded in and playing Pavels Mihadjuks out of position. Say a 4-4-2 was played against Morton in the next game, and in the first half it clearly wasn't working, then of course, as I said earlier, a formational switch could be made to something that the team feels more familiar and comfortable with. After all, there's still something like four or five games left of the season. Comparing a belief that a formation has run it's course with four or five games to go, and the incident of puting a centre-half in at right back for the most important game of last season, are two very different things.

    4-5-1

Of course, if that was to happen, it could always be changed back. I don't always go along with that range of thinking. Just because something isn't "broken", doesn't mean that something shouldn't change. It's really all a natural part of evolution. Look at it this way, in the olden days people used wagons pulled by horses to get their goods from place to place. It did the job, but when the lorry came, the wagon was stopped being used. Not necessarily because of it being "broken", but the fact that something better came along, it was time to move on and use something else. And so it is with this. At times, the 4-2-3-1 formation being used by ICT is seen to be ineffective. Rooney at times is ineffective due to being completely isolated and a lack of support. I read an article a couple of weeks ago about Johan Cryuff (who obviously played and managered using a straight 4-3-3). I recollect him saying that in the 4-5-1 if the striker gets the ball, who does he pass to? And it's the case here. I've seen Rooney pick up the ball many times and lose possession, by no fault of his own, rather via a lack of support. This formation has been used by ICT up until now, but it's time to go out and win this league through courage, attack and determination to score as many goals as possible. That isn't as possible to do, using this formation. It's time for a change.

    4-5-1

Does anyone else feel that the 4-5-1/4-2-3-1 thing has run it's course? Personally I think it has. Despite the recent successes on the pitch for ICT, I feel that for the final push for the title, something fresher and more attacking has to brought out. (Remember the last time ICT won it, Robbo commonly used the 4-3-3 or 4-4-2 that season). Does anyone else feel it's time for a change, and if so what?
