  1. No need, Foran is a born one. You can never have too many leaders. But I do agree, Foran is the best player of captain material at ICT just now, and should IMO be captain all the time.
  2. Why hasn't McBain been playing all season (though I have heard stories about his and Butcher's apparent fall-out)? He played today like he's never been away and went about things with the same efficiency and hard work that he has always shown. How Butcher played Stratford ahead of him, I'll never know.
  3. But the seats are the same , doesn't matter how much you earn the seats are the same for everyone .
  4. Just take a big shotgun. No-one will annoy you then.
  5. I thought "Caleykid" wasn't coming back until ICT played Inter Milan....................or Leeds.
  6. Careful, ICT's name ain't on the trophy yet!
  7. Sub Goalie Left Back Big Commanding Centre-Back Playmaking Midfielder Right Winger Decent Dargo-esque striker (maybe 2) Leader
  8. A good result, couldn't ask for anything more. Obviously it would've been nice had Dundee got beat but well...they didn't. No-one really had a bad game, Bully looked a bit shaky to begin with but got better as time went on and Eric was a bit better than usual (though did look better on the wing). Foran was my MOTM, worked very hard. Esson had a couple of good saves, Hayes was okay but not quite as lively as usual, and it was good to see McBain back and it's been long overdue (he played well too). It was also good to see Lionel back, and he didn't nothing wrong the whole time he was on! Rooney took his goal well and had a couple of other chances, but was (bar one chance) a bit quiet in the first half, mainly because of the long punt nonsense that he had no chance at all with. Every opportunity, was just punt, punt, punt. A good result and two well taken goals, but can we please stop all this long ball garbage.
  9. Agreed, absolutely stupid money. It reminds me of a couple of seasons ago when a player who's name I forget (possibly Rio Ferdinand) was offered a contract of ?105,000 a week, but claimed that he wanted ?110,000. Pretty sickening stuff really. A salary has to brought in before too long.
  10. Here's the next installment of the Renegade Quiz. Please answer truthfully, cause by cheating you're only letting yourself down. I'll put up the answers in a few days. 1. Which ICT player sent off in the 28th minute on the 7th March 2009? 2. Who is this and what is his link with ICT? 3. Before Butcher was a professional footballer with Ipswich, he was a trainee what? 4. At one in Butcher's career he picked up an injury and the bleeding he had was refusing to stop. What was used to make the bleeding stop? 5. How many stadiums have ICT played their "home" games in (Hampden doesn't count)? And what are they?
  11. I believe in the next mid term elections, legalising marijuana is on the ballot in California.
  12. HT - ICT 1-1 DAFC FT - ICT 2-1 DAFC ICT 1st scorer - Rooney DAFC 1st scorer - Kirk Attendance - 3,564
  13. Last season when Munro missed a few games (and the end of the season before when Munro was out injured), Tokely always seemed to be captain. It'll probably be the same tomorrow.
  14. Now just sit and watch all the "I hate England" crowd to react with seething hypocritical hatred.
  15. I'm not surprised by that, he can barely walk these days. Maybe he did need more time but he didn't help his own cause due to the fact that his attitude stank - at Sydney especially. His record at Brentford was almost identical to that of Brewster at DUFC, but he was also very annoyed by the fact that the players there couldn't play at the same level that he used to. Sydney was a different thing altogether. Butcher was described as having "imperial arrogance" and arrived with an attitude of "I'm English so I know best. You're Australians, what do you know?" Completely stupid thing to do anywhere but Australia especially. He was then appropriately and justifiedly booted back to Britain. Well, i'm not privy to that information, but as far as ICT has gone, he seems to have kept his cool, respected the club and fans (even if he did lose his cool with some fans which I can understand) and been pretty articulate and level-headed. In that respect, we should judge him, not on past hearsay. I don't get the impression Butcher is arrogant. Passionate and a winner yes, but not arrogant. I've spent a lot of time with Aussies, and they are bristly as well, so it could have been a bad combination rather than the onus all on Terry? Just hypothesising.. One of things Australians hate though, is when people come from other places and then start criticising stuff. Butcher was away criticism everything from the standard of the A League, to the newspapers, even the quality of the coffee. Didn't do himself any favours there.
  16. It is an ambitious rescue package which could involve Robbo and Bazza Wilson. But surely this would be good time to invest in ICT? From the hints we saw on here earlier in the season, that might well be on the horizon.

  18. That wasn't really what I meant, I was more acknowledging their different ideology towards the game, rather than the standard of their league. The Spanish league has a same sort of ideology by the way, and is also on the whole, a better quality.
  19. I think a few Brentfordians and Sydney-siders might disagree with that statement.
  20. Don't hold your breath, most if not all of Butcher's previous clubs have had one thing in common - the big old punt.
  21. I reckon if you ever go to Starbucks and you don't see Adam Rooney, you're not really there.
