I bet he is. Oh yeah, I bet you can you can just turn up at his house, and he'll offer cake and chat away for the afternoon. Better not be gay though, or it'll be the firing squad for you. Actually, he is supposed to be a very nice man. One of the ministers who officiated at my wedding met him whilst in Havana a few years ago. They were at a "normal" function and he turned up un-announced. spent some time with folks and then left. The minister said he was very nice, knowledgeable and avuncular. It wouldn't surprise if he is a nice man, if you are on his side. The same could probably be said for people like Hitler, or Stalin, or Mussolini, or Mugabe. I could go on and on with names. They are probably fine, if you are one of them. Should you disagree with them, or have the unfortunate incident of being born with something you cannot help, like being gay in Cuba or being a Jew born in Germany during Hitler's time. You're gone. To me, any "niceness" they display, counts for nothing when they have attitudes to people like this, and shows what absolute nutcase dictators they are. People in the American army guarding Saddam when he was first caught sad he was a very nice man and what great friendliness he showed when he gassed those Kurds.

I went to get a pie at about 10 minutes before kick off and was standing at the wall area of the main stand. Usually with that queue size, I get my order within 3 or 4 minutes. Well I stood there for about five minutes and barely moved, so just gave up. I went to the West Stand pie bit at half time and got a pie and bovril (I actually wanted a coffee, but they didn't have any and I'd have to wait till they came). Bovril was okay, but the pie was really annoying. You got in a wee silver bowl and the thing just fell apart, and you couldn't even pick it up to eat it. And that's not mentioning the prices. ?3.20 for a cheese burger! You get them for ?1.50 down the town. I have religiously bought ICT pies for years, but I won't be next time.

Whatever happened to Boardroom Banter? It's like a ghost town over there these days.

ICT had corner in the second half when the ref blew for pushing or something just before the ball was kicked. While the ref was talking to something, Rooney had to sort himself out and dropped his shorts, displaying his black undergarments to do so. Urggh, I wont be getting much sleep tonight.

Of what would be of interest to you, I've read George Galloway's book, most of Michael Moore's books, "Don't Start The Revolution Without Me!" by Gov. Jesse Ventura and "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas" by Hunter S. Thompson, and probably more. I think that is a rather politically cultured repertoire.

Just because he might not like gays does not mean he is not a nice person. You listen to the Media too much. :021: Seriously, this just shows how little you know. Have you seen my reading list? Maybe you should stop this thread now, it's already pretty cringeworthy.

He was okay, but nothing overly special. Probably better than Duncan mind.

On the whole, it was an alright game. Didn't see much of Rooney's goal from where I was cause of the mist. Saw him hit it but that was about it. I then knew it was in, when the sound of crows filtered round the ground like a Mexican wave! On the whole, Raith never had any real clear cut dangerous chances, and Esson had very few real saves to make. One thing I did notice today was though, there seemed to be a pattern in ICT's style of play - winger passes to central midfielder, central midfielder passes to defender, defender passes to keeper, keeper boots it up the park. Pretty uninspiring stuff. I also noticed that a lot of players seem to get on the ball, and then have to think about they do next. I noticed with Hayes for one, a couple of times. For me, the best players today were toss up between Hayes, Cox and Odhiambo. The two wingers looked decent, but may have been better had they been on the correct sides from the start. Hayes looked good, but could with charging down the wing a bit more as soon as he gets the ball. Cox was quiet good passing the ball around in the middle, and also when running with it. Of the rest, Esson had little to do but could do with cutting down his long hoofs. Djebi-Zadi had moments of being good, and others of being a bit dodgy. Still much better going forward than defending, and was also still better than Golabek. Duncan and Foran weren't missed at all. Sanchez was okay at times, but I did notice a couple of times, the ball would be near him and he'd slow down instead if attacking it. Wasn't overly impressed by Duff. He wasn't bad, his passing was okay (certainly better than Duncan's) but he was nothing special. Proctor looked a bit dodgy of times and does seem to be offly vulnerable at the back, Bulvitis was okay, as was Munro. The last two again were okay, but nothing overly special. ICT still look a bit weak defensively and really really need a big centre back, who can also rally the troops. Rooney took his goal well and had moments where he seemed to be working hard, but is another one who doesn't seem to know what to do at times. I also recollect him being through on goal more than once and then just stopping. Once in particular when he was clean through and then looked to hold the ball up and look for the pass. Sometimes he could do with being a bit more greedy and going for it himself. And we seriously did not need that Nacho Novo moment when he was waiting for the corner. That was disgusting! Of the subs, Stratford was on for seconds and didn't touch the ball, and Eagle was okay and had one very good cross. And then there's Imrie. What an egomaniac. Always goes for it himself, always goes for glory and always has a go at other players when they don't give him the ball. I will shed no tears when this wannabe leaves. On the whole, Butcher should really have set Hayes and Odhiambo to the correct wings and cut out this whole hoofing nonsense. He needs to tell the players as well, to play the ball forward or to the wings, not backwards all the time. A win is win today, but if ICT want to get anywhere this season, they're going to have to go in with a more positive game plan.

I do have a great interest in politics, but I ain't going to share every aspect of my views on here. And anyway, I don't have a particular stance or party I have a huge interest in, hence the reason I support an option on the ballot of "None of the Above".

Just a shame I don't know when mine is.

Wow that's hilarious.... Anyway, I'm led to believe it'll be the same back line again tomorrow, so this bloke will probably be at right midfield. Can't say I know much about him, but what emergency has taken place so an emergency loan has been brought in? On the whole though, it's not really in the midfield that players are needed just, ICT are crying out for a decent centre half to challenge Bulvitis and Munro.

Well it was put in the General Nonesense for a reason. If you dont care, dont post. Not hard. I just find it a bit of an odd question to put out there. I can't say I've ever looked through this forum and said "Oh, there's that Alex MacLeod again. I wonder if he's a Tory" or "Starchief's posted again, I wonder if he's into UKIP". Who really cares?
-
The ones with the names on were, yes.
-
Seriously, who cares?
-
Butcher rates Golabek (unfortunately).

That would be a nightmare for me. I've mentioned on here a few times, that I'm not overly impressed by Butcher's management skills, but to me, Terry Butcher and Maurice Malpas is better than Malpas alone. What we have just now IMO is the lesser of two evils. Sadly, from the forward thinking types of the powers at be, we will probably see Butcher leave some time within in the next six months, with Maurice taking over. Then we kiss goodbye to any chance of promotion for a long long time.
-
Does this remind anyone of the whole black away kit saga? It months to get here, the season was nearly a third of the way through when it did come.
-
This is a non issue. Butcher won't even be linked with the job, let alone get it. The only job down south I could ever see Butcher being linked with in some fashion would be the Ipswich job, where I wouldn't at all be surprised to hear of him being linked witht he assistants job, or coaching or something. This whole Plymouth thing, just aint going to happen.

I've always said he's a good pundit, he's an excellent speaker and is interesting to listen to. Also I haven't really any problem with him doing this stuff, though it does seem a bit strange that he gave up his Setanta job to spend more time with ICT, but has since taken this gig. No he didn't..............they went bust. Actually, I would be very insistent on being called "ICT Manager", IMO it's just good manners to your current employers, and his current position is nothing to be ashamed of. Incorrect, he stayed with the Scotland job, but decided to gve up Setanta, when he took the job at ICT.

It's not a question of "like it or not", more a question of it is or it isn't. Please don't try and tell me that every Scottish person has a Gaelic heritage, as the Gaelic gang would like everyone to believe. Gaelic seems to have been trotted out these days as the "official" heritage of Scotland, when quiet simply it is only a small piece of heritage in a small area of Scotland, not Scotland as a whole. I do not, as far as I know have a "Gaelic heritage", so please don't tell me I do.

Maybe it is...
