  1. I see the commentator from BBC Alba has tweeted that there is no truth in the rumours that Steve Marsella is joining Ross County.
  2. I'm pretty sure there are rules in place to stop that type of thing (unlike on the continent where I saw a photo of a Scandinavian team once who's jersey looked like a Nascar boilersuit!). I was always under the impression that you couldn't have two different sponsors on the one shirt, but I presume that doesn't apply to the front and the back.
  3. We could get that old folk group The Corries to sponsor the shorts as well!
  4. I see Ross County released Michael Fraser a few weeks ago. Never saw it mentioned on here.
  5. Think I'm right in saying that Michael Fraser was the only the player in SPL history to change his squad number mid-season. When Mark Brown went to Celtic, he obviously had the number 1 jersey and Fraser wore 21 (IIRC). Fraser's first game as our first choice was at home in a 3-0 win against Hibs (he wore gold as I recall) and then wore 21 in a 2-1 defeat to Celtic the following week (Wilson had a cracker of game!). The following week he turned out wearing the number 1. I can't think of any other player who's changed number mid-season. In-fact, I didn't even think you'd be allowed!
  6. How are the people who wanted Butcher and more so Petrie out in your eyes not supporters? I don't see how calling for a manager to be sacked who plummeted your team to such depths is un-supporting. If he can't keep them up considering where they were, then why should he be allowed to continue? People wanted what was best for their club - Butcher was a car crash. Butcher has only really 'built' a decent side here by the way and maybe at Motherwell. Two clubs - that's in no way a proven track record. I don't think from what I gather, that this decision was rushed either - after all, they were relegated two weeks ago and Dempster comes across to me like an intelligent and well thought out woman who has a good record at Motherwell. She could well turn out to be a great signing by Hibs in the long run, but she's got to get the decision right and I think there's far more chance she'll get it right than some of the other jokers involved there.
  7. Conor Pepper is signing for Morton apparently.
  8. I see on the Hibs site, they're always talking about getting rid of Butcher and bringing McCall in. Presume that's Ian McCall!
  9. Don't think its a case of 'can't' have #13, its not banned or anything, think its a case of superstition for some players or teams and they just don't choose to wear the number. I know that, I just think it's silly that people still have these superstitions in this day and age. It's like people who number their house 12A! I think in China number 4 is considered unlucky. People scared of these things need to get a life.
  10. Rumours going round he's away!
  11. Hooper of course wore number 88 for Celtic and Wanyama wore 67. It'll be interesting to see if their shirts sold more on average as a result. This brings me onto another point. Why do we never have a number 13? I know McAllister wore it one year and I think Golabek did in a friendly once but apart from that, there's never been another I don't think. It's just nonsense. We can have a number 23 but not a number 13. Why? Reminds me of that thing the comedian Mitch Hedburg said once: "If the number 13 is unlucky, so should the letter B be, because a B looks like a scrunched together 13!"
  12. Aye, but as good as Billy Mckay is, he's not quite as good or as famous as Defoe is he? Same with Bradley - Draper's not *quite* as good! I always like to see one unusual/crazy number in a team. The Athletic striker Toquero wearing number 2 for example or Zamorano wearing 1+8! There's a keeper in Peru that wears number 3 as well!
  13. Do you think we'd sell more shirts if gave one of the players a crazy number? You know, give Mckay the number 1 or something!
  14. I remember he used to get quite angry when people didn't agree with ultra-far left politics and his meltdown about the Celtic poppy banner thing was laugh out loud funny!
  15. Why should what Obama wants be the end of the debate? He doesn't actually endorse either side either and regardless the debate will go on. You replied to a Dougal post taking it seriously. That qualifies for a woosh...
  16. For the safety of the players I believe. We were lucky for the squad to come home unscathed last year after an altercation with some red-dotted faced locals!
  17. I see the U20 League is to be re-named the "Development League" from next season and five overage players will be allowed instead of three.
  18. I'm sure it was Oxford or somewhere that used to have a ground that had about eight different stands! Absolute world beaters as a result, no question!
  19. Why are we discussing politics and not about all the quality players that are gonna be on show!!!!! Because Larry is trolling again.
  20. People need to ask themselves why County are doing these types of things. Maybe it's because they feel under pressure from the successes of a rival Highland side, who are bettering them where it really matters - on the pitch and in the bank.
  21. I remember them both. Havent seen either post in the forum for ages Think I found that Rosscoe23's Twitter page earlier. Looks like he was actually a Celtic fan, as was that Stevico1 who was big friends with Niculae. Anyone else remember DeadBallSpecialist? He was quite a good poster IIRC.
  22. Can we bring that red and green dot system from before? It was way better than this namby pamby "Like" system!
  23. Difficult to tell them apart with the word salad style of their posts!
