So.... Bennett and Doc in charge of team affairs for Saturday's meeting with Hearts... How will they approach this one? Will there be any radical changes by way of personnel or tactics? Will they start with Barrowman up front? Might there be a place for Blackie? Can anyone see ICT getting some kind of a result at Tynecastle? Thoughts.....

Incredible performance from Burnley... What a shame ICT didn't make a move for Owen Coyle when CC left... I guess their mind was already made up - the Messiah was on his way back...

I get the distinct impression that the vast majority would prefer to see Robbo back again.... Strange that Butcher overtook him 31% to 29% in Renegade's unscientific poll. Even if Robbo was to be sitting in the stand at Tynecastle on Saturday, waiting to take up his new appointment, I would put money on us getting at least 1 point out of this one.

John Robertson has submitted a formal application.. The board meet tomorrow to draw up a short list of candidates...

It absolutely terrifies me!! Maurice Malpas is an ok guy.... Dunfermline born and bred - went to Dunfermline High school, then on to Edinburgh Uni where he got a graduated with a engineering/science degree (Bsc) I kent his faither, Danny - played for Oakley United. Nice family.

He's anything but thick or arrogant.... brought up in Dalgety Bay, Fife... educated at Inverkeithing High School... I kent his faither.... he was quite well known as a singer back in the 60's and 70's...

I would have said Pressley expresses himself very well - also think he will be a successful manager some day. Still worth considering him as player/manager here with an experienced assistant.

He'd have been better asking Grassa to sell him some double glazing.....

Malpas was Butcher's assistant at Motherwell and he is available, so it is very conceivable they could both end up here....

If only the board could communicate half as well as our CD does....

I'd love to see him in place for the Hearts game but he would have been contacted by the club by now, if he was going to be offered the position.... I don't think they will speak to him unless their 1st choice turns them down. I'm sure he'll be on the back burner though. I think it will take more than their first choice to turn it down, but I hope you're right.

Robbo knows it.... Barry knows it.... The players know it.. A lot of supporters know it... Robbo and Barry would be the dream team most likely to succeed in steering ICT clear of relegation... What a pity, that due to some kind of petty, petulant squabble between Sutherland and Robbo, about 5 years ago, (which Robbo can't even remember) this idea - as far as the board is concerned is a complete non-starter....

Or a few Scotland players playing for ICT...

Maybe he could be TB's assistant!! Although I'd much prefer Souness & Dalgliesh...

That's not a bad shout and it would probably be one of the cheapest options - I suspect it could appeal to the board enormously!
