Sack the board?
It's been well documented on various threads here over the past couple of days... The board have spent the past 48 hours hiding from the media.... They haven't even got the gumption or courage to find someone from within their ranks to face the press/media and attempt to explain what they are doing with regards appointing a successor for Brewster. They don't seem to realise that there is little or no time to spare. We are sitting at the bottom of the league and staring relegation straight in the face. Can they not see that? What are they doing about it? Why can't they explain what they are doing? Is this a fit and proper body of men to be charged with the responsibility of running a football club? I rather think not....

They've got someone in for Saturday.... It's the ever versatile Graham Bennett.... and according to his assistant John Doc, on Radio Scotland tonight, he might be in place for 2 or 3 games... That was the contingency plan, Harry.... We can obviously forget about Robbo now.... He could have been installed as manager by now - but for some pathetic tiff with DJS several years ago.

Quote of the Day
Or...."The team's position in the table is not great just now...."

Where were you?
I'm sure you can make something up as well Wot did you edit?

Who's Your Candidate?
What appeals to me most about a Robbo appointment is that he already has a very good knowledge of most of the squad, and will already have an idea as to where improvements can be made with regard to coaching, team selection, tactics, etc, etc. He could also start work tomorrow.... I'd urge the board to seriously consider taking Robbo on, even on a short term trial period. Time has virtually run out to consider any other course of action...

Inverness Courier leader...
Some good comment here from today's Courier's leader/editorial. Read all about it

New Manager Odds (merged)
Maurice Malpas was his Number 2 at Motherwell, and my guess is he would want him to work with again....

New manager thread (merged)
I can't see them going after anyone if compensation was to be an issue.

Thanks Brew
Yeah... reading it again you're probably right....

Interesting comment from Rosscoe in the Record.... Not exactly a ringing endorsement for Robbo to return...

Tynecastle........free buses please!
He wont be. Bennets prepping the team for this one. If true that's a shame. I'd have fancied them to take at least a point with Robbo in charge. I'ts so stupid. He is available - he's ready to start now. I'm quite sure he would have agreed to help out until a suitable successor could be found. Certainly doesn't look like it's going to happen now. Still.... What would anyone expect from this board?

Where were you?
I was having sex with my partner with Radio Scotland on in the background.... When the announcement was made I let out such an ecstatic yell, my partner thought something wonderful must have happened... In a funny kind of a way something wonderful had happened...

Time now to draw a line.
Yeah... A good post for an old fella like yourself Alex....

Wonder if Butcher would want to bring his old sidekick Maurice Malpas in, who's just been sacked from somewhere down south They seemed to form a decent partnership at Motherwell.
