Probably are still favourites to go down... A lot depends on how long the "Butcher Effect" will last... I still think we can overtake Falkirk - maybe even St Mirren or Kilmarnock too...

Whilst TB was not my first choice as a relacement for Brewster I now firmly believe that his appointment will prove to be the best possible choice the club could have made, and one which will hold us in good stead for years to come. I'd be interested to know all the same how the appointment came to be made. Did TB contact the club when CB was sacked or did the club contact him? Did someone on the board hit on the idea of suggesting TB? If so I believe it could prove to be an inspirational decision. It's a shame no-one from the board ever reads any of this stuff so the chances are we'll never know who's idea it was...

Does seem to get a wee bit eratic when a shooting opportunity comes along.... That's maybe down to a wee lack of confidence in front of goal - great prospect though, but for the moment I'd say keep him in a midfield role.

Going way off topic now... sorry... This from a Dundee court... Sheriff Davidson at Dundee Sheriff Court was dealing with a case of a chap resisting arrest.He was fined ?400 and his solicitor told the sheriff that his client could pay the fine at ?2.50 a fortnight. With a baleful gaze the good sheriff told him : I'm not collecting for a catalogue" and upped the payments to ?10....

Managers are paid to take decisions regards bringing in players. In cases where they have worked with certain players in the past, they are in the best position to judge whether : (a) a player will play to his capabilities, put in a decent shift, both on and off the field... {b} fit in and get on well with his team-mates. The whole history of the game is littered with instances where a player, or players, just cannot perform under certain styles of management, but give them a move, and the transformation can be dramatic. Hopefully dramatic transformations will be the the order of the day with the new TB signings! Time will tell...

Spot on Stevo... Let's just see how far Butcher can go with ICT and get right behind him and the players - early signs are very encouraging. I for one can't be ersed with any more crusades at the moment...

If we do stay up I'm quite sure the board will be very quick to point out that the majority of the support wanted Robbo to get the job. If Butcher then goes on to take ICT towards or even into a top six finish next season, you'd have to say they made a good decision with his appointment...

I suspect he and Butcher have a healthy respect for each other which can only be good for ICT...

Maybe the PT game was just a "one off" for him - we won that one 3-0 anyway... I'd say he did more than enough yesterday to merit a decent run in the team - whether at left back or left midfield... His confidence will improve with more games under his belt. He looked great coming forward and set up a few decent attacks... He's the kind of player who could develop into something very special... Good for putting bums on seats as well... Certainly more exciting to watch than Hastings!!

Naaah... Still say that was Proctor's finest hour in a Caley shirt even given the sending off... McGeady (I think) had a clear run in on goal... Proctor had no option but to take him down, and of course he got to him long before Rosscoe would have got near him. Talking of forward movement he also managed to provide some quality support for Cowie and Niculae, and even managed to score himself. He must be due another performance like that some day soon. Tomorrow would be a good time to re-discover a wee bit of form. When was the last time any side came back from a two goal deficit against the Tics and held out with ten men?

Great goal... but Colorado lost! I think TB should leave well alone... He's been associated with dressing room bust ups where-ever he's played, which is the last thing we need right now.

I agree with Alex.... Top of the bottom half could be a realistic target... That Black, Cowie and Fraser have pledged to commit themselves to the cause really augers well for us... Under Brewster these guys would never have been in the frame. Our season starts tomorrow...

It's only just over a year ago (Dec 16th 2007) when we beat them 3-2 after going two goals down early on. There were several great performances that day - notably from Proctor and Cowie who both scored. We actually played out the last 15 mins with 10 men after Proctor got sent off for a professional foul. Michael Fraser was another who probably played his best ever game for Caley. I hope TB watches a video of that game before he announces his line-up. Proctor, Black and Cowie should definitely be on from the start.

He had a great game against Celtic - was it about 18mths ago? We were 0-2 down at half time, and came storming back in the second half to win by 3-2. Cowie scored a great goal in that game. Was it Proctor and a Niculae (pen) that got the other two? Hope we get something special from him on Sunday....
