Players Leaving
No, of course not, WL.... But just out of curiosity...... Who do you think our worst player is..? :023: :023:

Reserve game today
Hardly a classic - but then neither are many 1st team matches... I would have made the St Midden keeper MOM - two or three top class saves, combined with safe & confident handling ensured they were unlikely to lose a goal. Didn't feel Zibi inspired quite so much confidence - especially from the 3 wifies sat behind me who screamed hysterically into my lugs every time the ball came anywhere near him..... :crazy07: Still... they did provide a welcome mug of hot steaming coffee at half-time... Thanks Eliza... :014:

Reserve game today
I've always seen Morgan as useful cover for Rankin... :024: Hoping this means there has been a change of heart regarding his (Rankin's) future at ICT...

Malky
So will you be a fully committed supporter once again, if Malky returns..? Or just a supporter who should be fully committed.... :001:

Abuse directed at ICT players...
I thought CaleyD made quite a few really good points in his post (above).... Anyone else agree... Anyone else disagree..?

Happy Yet?
I was very happy with the manner in which we beat St Mirren... :022: In fact I was over the feckin moon.... We have gone from that result to an ever better one at Tannadice... We've got some really interesting fixtures ahead.... How far can we go on this roll...?

Abuse directed at ICT players...
I'm pleased you think it's a fair subject to discuss... I'm a wee bit surprised at Alex's comment.... By knowing where to draw the line.... I take it you mean you wouldn't go as far as to direct a "less than flattering comment" directly to a player in question? Or would that depend on the player in question..? :023:

Abuse directed at ICT players...
I think this debate should have its own thread. I wouldn't want to interfere with anyone's right to free speech or to express an opinion. I would guess that ever since football was invented, spectators have hurled abuse at anyone they feel deserves it. Some might be surprised at this... I believe there is a strong case for supporters to hurl dogs abuse at certain players, in certain situations... Anyone on the field of play who deliberately attempts to break an opponent's leg or commit a career threatening challenge thoroughly deserves all the abuse the are likely to receive. Look at that recent tackle on Celtic's Scott Brown.... I thought ther supporters showed remarkeable restraint over that incident. The other side of the coin though is the abuse that gets dished out to players - who quite simply aren't having a good day... To me it becomes totally unacceptable when supporters boo or abuse players - on their side It is also unacceptable to me, for supporters to come on here, and post hurtful, insulting comments - again, directed at players representing the team they claim to support. I also kind of get the impression that many on this site are reluctant to get involved in this debate.... Prove me wrong guys & gals.... :rolleyes02:

Happy Yet?
Good post, Jnr... I'll let you buy me a pint with your winnings from a Top Six finish...!! I was impressed by Brew's perfomance on Setanta yesterday as one of the studio analising guys, on the Dons v Hibs game. He talked a lot of sense. He takes his job here very seriously and is very focused on taking ICT another step forward. He deserves more support from our fans, and a bit less derision... :022:

yes you are, but its not your fault. You are missing the raft of posts we have had to remove or split to another thread. I must be missing something here as well then..... This so-called spat began on November 24th, on a thread entitled "The Booing of Rory McAllister" I wasn't aware of the raft of posts you've had to remove. I would be really interested to know what the gist of these posts was.... :024: Is this going to become another tabboo subject like the mentioning of travelling people from Romania and Dingwall? Perhaps we should just stick to tried and tested subjects like "flat back fours" and "stringing five across the middle".... :023:

CaleyMad... No, there is no history between myself and Yngwie... I generally enjoy reading his posts - You only have to scroll up the page a little, to see the comment of his I took exception to. KB & Pele is God.... Do I detect a slight reluctance to get involved here? :017:

Happy Yet?
Well that's very commendable Yngwie.... Some footballers might it difficult simply to react in that manner. Personally I'd be more inclined to react in the same way as Eric Cantona did - remember the flying karate kick when a fan in the Old Trafford crowd called him something a wee bit nasty? To Scarlet Pimple... There's no personal vendetta unfolding here... I apologise if you, or anyone else is finding it tedious. Personally I think some of the comments posted on this matter, have been very interesting... I would be happy to see the debate continue. I don't think the whole subject of abuse dished out to anyone, who happens to perform in a public arena, is something that should be ignored, or swept under the carpet.

Marius's wages....
:clapping03: That two year contract worries me too, but thank feck we're agreed on something... :003:

Did we shoot ourselves in the foot?
What nonsense...!! Inverness is the capital of the Highlands... Anyone in search of a decent shop, or restaurant, cinema or theatre, this is where they have to come - not Dingwall - The full name of Inverness Caledonian Thistle is fine with me... I notice now that the meeja have taken to calling us by a shortened form of "Inverness." That's ok with me to... We don't hear many footy people talking about Heart of Midlothian FC too often...
-
Marius's wages....
I'm not suggesting that we get shot of Marius.... I'm not even calling him "utterly sh1te" All I'm saying is if I was paying his feckin wages I would be looking for a much more meaningful contribution than we have seen from him so far - I would also explain to him that if his performances don't improve his wages will need to be reduced. If he's not prepared to accept that, then let him go.. :sillywave:
-
Happy Yet?
Yngwie : It's not me you should be apologising to.... There's a big difference between calling someone's performance, on a given occassion, on the field of play "utterly sh!t" and just simply dismissing that person as "utterly sh!te" as you did with that post.... I'm quite sure Rory is a decent enough guy who tries his level best when playing football... Slag off his performances by all means - yes - everyone is entitled to their opinion, but he is a person, as well as an international footballer - YOU SHOULD NOT BE REFERRING TO HIM AS "UTTERLY SH!TE" -

Alex : Is it ok for you moderators to post something like this..? Yngwie Moderator Location: Perth Re: Booing of McAllister I think Rory is utterly sh1t and shouldn't be anywhere near our first team.....- Brewster Can Go
I haven't been calling for his head - the worst I said was that if we finish the league in no better than 11th spot, then he should go. I don't change my pants all that often either... :016:- Happy Yet?
Hmm.. Do I detect a slight softening of your attitude towards our manager here, Mee..? :024:- Marius's wages....
http://www.ictfc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/News...1074528,00.html- Black's behaviour
Agree with that... Blackie is a very special talent - lots of skill and totally comitted at all times... Players like that often have problems with discipline... The odd lapse in his discipline is a price well worth paying for such a precocious talent. I- Marius's wages....
Thanks Rig.... Pleased to oblige.... Again... His contribution to the team is no greater than anyone else's.... - Happy Yet?
