  1. Fined his appearance money, I believe.... I thought a fine of half his appearance money would have been more appropriate..... :023:
  2. That's the problem isn't it...? I would be happy with either Burley or Levein, but suspect that Roy Aitken will get the nod... (I'll be happy with that too, as long as Souness doesn't get a look in)
  3. The major problem is how the SFA put an attractive enough financial package in place for what is essentially a part time job... I too, would be delighted if Levein could be prised away from Scumdee Utd... but I can't think of many successful club managers in Scotland (or anywhere else) in recent years, who have been persuaded to take the job on... Walter was unemployed when he was appointed, as was Bertie Vogts, and Craig Brown - not sure about Roxburgh, but he wasn't a manager of any club. The last time I can recall a club manager prised away from a club position, was Jock Stein , when he was manager at Leeds Utd... At the time he admitted he was taking a big salary drop, but the Scotland job, meant much more to him than just money. Sadly that kind of attitude seemed to die with him....
  4. Sounds like it's a done deal then.... I'm quite sure Brew will have been in contact with Malky ever since he returned to ICT.... Grassa & co should have had all this sorted out at the time of Brew's re-appointment.... Could have saved Donald a few wasted months in a dead end job....
  5. You can remember that far back...? :024:
  6. Looks like McAllister will get it now..... Has he had much success as a manager..? :024:
  7. It's bizarre to say the least.... He was also at the reserve game this afternoon... :024:
  8. I would love to see a midfield of Black, Cowie, Marius and Rankin with a fit Brewster and Wyness up front....
  9. Everything..... Except my jacket...

You were booing Brewster under your breath, as he went up and down the stairs.... Even I could hear you from where I was sitting... :023:
  11. He has been interviewed for the Dunfermline job in the past... according to my sources the Pars weren't prepared to meet his pay demands....
  12. 7K a week..? I wouldn't take my jacket off for that kind of money.... :023:

Vigurs was very good - He also played well against Rangers reserves last week, when he was directly opposed to a lively looking Chris Burke... I'd have no qualms about him in the first team.... :022:
  14. Completely agree, MacBandy... especially your bottom line (first post)... Further to Scotty's comments re Robbo, it's worth mentioning that he was in the stand at this afternoon's reserve match..... :024:

Rory was brilliant.... seemed to revel in an atmosphere completely free from the boo boys... :021: A few boo girls there all the same... :017:
  16. Completely agree on both counts, Scotty.... I think he might well live to regret it.... Big Roy for me too.... :022:

  20. Wonder if his family know where he is...? :024:

Yes... They'll be really pumped up for this one.... :014:
  22. Why are Donald's family considerations only surfacing now..?

I'll be putting money on at least a point from this one... I thought our lot showed a terrific attitude on Saturday, and played well against a pretty decent looking St Midden side... Brewster, will be especially desperate to take something out of this.... I wouldn't bet against him risking further damage to his shoulder, by coming off the bench for the final 15 minutes... I hope he manages to pull it off (oops).... :022:
  25. Well since it is only the uneducated supporters of the Irish team who pronounce the word with an "S" sound at the start then it should be the name of the football team which should have the spelling changed. Good point, Birdog, but generally speaking words beginning with ce are pronounced with an S sound... centre, centigrade, celebrate, etc.. Celtic, as in the culture is the only one pronounced with a K sound so it's easy to see how confusion arises.. I've never been a Seltic supporter, but every time I see the word Celtic - I think of the football team first, rather than the culture... Does anyone else suffer from this affliction? :024:
