Believe it or not half of tonight's North Tonight programme was blacked out due to "circumstances beyond their control" All we got was the tail end of a interview with CC, who stated that - whilst Black is staying put for the time being - he may very well move on to a bigger club sometime in the future. He also accepted there had been much speculation linking him with a move to Dunited, but he didn't regard them as a bigger club.....!!

Hamish : I didn't say that "everyone in the US was a Bush supporter or willing to accept everything Israel does" I have known quite a few Americans over quite a few years. What I will say is that when Bush & his cohorts decided to invade Iraq he had considerable support as he had sold the idea that Saddam Hussein was connected with 9/11 and was in possession of WMD. Now that that has been exposed as a big fat lie, grass roots support has turned against him.... My question to you was do you support the man or not?

Scotty : There were pictures on TV news tonight showing a hysterical Beirut woman surrounded by death & destruction wailing that the Lebanon is being turned into another Iraq and the world doesn't give a ****..... I'm not sure if that's true but Bush & Blairs' world certainly doesn't give a ****......

Bush & Blair should be demanding an immediate ceasefire.... not pussyfooting around saying - "well - we'll have to talk about this - maybe we can come up with a plan....." I thought we (or the US) had got rid of the Taliban - but unfortunately it seems there are still quite a few of them around. I agree - they are complete nutters caught in a 2000 year old time warp..... the problem is they have a lot of support thanks to the aggression of the US since 9/11.... I honestly don't think comparisons should be made between Hezbullah and the Taliban, and I certainly don't think the whole of the Lebanon should have suffered the carnage that has been inflicted on them.... It's not that long ago that you & I both got upset about about kids getting beaten up in Scotland just for wearing England strips. Did the sight of toddlers lying in hospital beds in Beirut with their legs blown off not affect you....?? As you say - We'll have to agree to disagree.... I'm just sorry I haven't been able to persuade you that Israel's action (supported by Bush & Blair) could only be described as cruelly grotesque...... Also watching all that stuff from thousands of miles away on a TV screen doesn't really put you in the mood for telling jokes.....
