  1. Are you suggesting a "no win no fee kind of arrangement"? :) I like that, do you think the players would sign up for that too? Might just be the edge we've been lacking all season. :D :D Yeah.... Something like that. Whatever happened to that old adage of doing something to support your community, helping out your fellow men, etc, etc.
  2. I suppose that is the obvious flaw in this otherwise brilliant suggestion of mine! I'd forgotten that since relegation Grassa had agreed to continue as DoF for little or no reward. I guesss you get you pay for in this business. I just find it depressing that little, or nothing is likely to change between now and the end of the season. I do believe all the same, that Robbo (or others) might be agreeable to help us out even just a short term basis, at a salary we could afford. An appointment like that might just rescue our season and see us mount a serious challenge for promotion.
  3. I've no doubt this will get shot down in flames from some circles, but I'd be interested to know what others might think. Most of us now seem to be agreed that TB will be moving on at the end of the season, when his contract runs out. There is a general consensus that several of our better players will also be moving on at that time. The remaining 6 months of the season could be very depressing - we appear to have found our niche in this league, and are almost certain to finish up somewhere around the middle of the table. As things stand nothing much can, or will change until the start of season 2009/2010. TB's appointment hasn't worked out as well as many had hoped. He has made a couple of decent signings (SFL player of the month) but with regards to general team management, his coaching ability, motivational skills, tactical awareness, etc, have all been found to be sadly wanting. My idea is that Graeme Bennett should leave the club and move on (he has other business interests) and that TB takes over a role as DoF, combined with other duties such as press officer/spokesman. Bennett appears to have been out of his depth in negotiating players' (such as Marius) contracts, serious errors (allegedly) appear to have been made which is going to prove very costly for the club. I think TB could be the ideal choice to replace him. He has proven interpersonal skills, he is media savvy, he also knows a decent player when he sees one. He is a legend as a player, a very likeable guy, and could still be very influential in attracting decent players to Inverness. If, just if, TB agreed to such a move who might come in as his replacement? I would suggest Robbo could be an ideal caretaker boss, at least until the end of the season. He might even be prepared to work with MM which would result in money being saved. MM hasn't done too badly taking charge of the team on these occasions when TB was on international duty. Another option I would consider would involve the return of Pele and Shearer, but maybe this time with Shearer as Number 1. Food for thought anyone?
  4. Isn't the DEE4LIFE what generally happens just now anyway?
  5. Yes... the second one came just before the HT whistle. According to the reporter he was lucky not to walk at that stage.
  6. According to the BBC reporter, Foran went crunching in on one of their players just before half-time. The ref gave a free kick, but took no further action - the reporter considered he was lucky not to be booked, and sent off at that stage.
  7. It's an automatic 1 match ban - whether or not it was a straight red, or two yellows. A straight red also results in a disciplinary hearing which can mean further suspension.
  8. Violent conduct?
  9. Good report, Wanderer.... I worry about where we will be in the grand scheme of things, if Esson moves on soon.
  10. I think you should be prompted to re-phrase that! :004:
  11. Way out of our league, he is own of the most promising young managers in Europe and is earning close to 300k a year where he is Well.... We were good enough for Marius.... Couldn't you get him to put in a word for us? :004:
  12. Unless of course, he was deemed to be in breech of his contract. Of course but how is he ?? I'm not sure, but.... Didn't he give an undertaking when he took the job on, that he would give up his work with Setanta TV? Have you noticed what he's taken on since then?
  13. Unless of course, he was deemed to be in breech of his contract.
  14. Dan Petescru is rumoured to be keen to get back into British football!
  15. Were you at the game? Did you see what happened?
  16. Yes.... He's a fine young player, but not rated by TB for reasons known only to him
  17. Relieved in the end that we came away with a point.
  18. Lucky to have finished the 1st half with nothing worse than a yellow card, according to the reporter.
  19. Is Bulvitis RB and Proctor LB with Lionel and Munro in the middle?
  20. A thoroughly merited and well deserved award. Let's hope it gives him a massive boost this afternoon.
  21. Roy McBain hasn't started a game so far this season. Hasn't even been on the bench since the 3-1 home game with County on the 29th August. Sorry.... But I still come to the conclusion that he is currently out of favour with TB, and not rated by him.
  22. I've got nothing against the England players and have always had a lot of respect for Capello. If it wasn't for the entire English media I would be quite happy to see them win it. Knowing how these c*nnts would react if that happened, I'll be quite happy to see them lose all their Round 1 games and be the first team to fly out of SA. I'll even buy the Sun if that happens.... :011:
  23. What are you expecting? We see enough punts up the park when our lads are playing? Is Tommy ok with this? The admission price is a bit steep? I might just drag myself along to this - haven't been to a rugby match for years. Hopefully the Kingsmills Suite will be open to non-members.
  24. Do the board read any other threads on here? :011:
  25. I'd like to see McBain back in the side in any position, but sadly TB obviously doesn't appear to rate him at all.
