  2. HT - DAFC 0-2 ICT FT - Match abandoned at HT. ICT 1st scorer - Duff Attendance - 2,500
  3. Steve came through that show with a lot of credit. These two feckin balloons trying to out shout each other about which games were off this afternoon was really doing my head in.
  4. The sad part of all this is that we are actually very close to having a squad of players who could be more than capable of reaching the SPL and staying there. It's been said on other threads.... the addition of a couple of experienced defenders, coupled with improved coaching methods and better tactical awareness would take ICT a long way forward.
  5. Don't we already have enough problems with alcohol abuse in this country?
  6. Meanwhile back

  8. A team for Div 2 ?
  9. As far as extending contracts is concerned, shouldn't he at least be thinking about Hayes?
  10. With comments like these, I'd say the whole article is a bit of a joke : But Butcher insists his immediate priority is moving Caley Thistle into First Division title contention in the new few weeks. He said: ?It is too early for us to look at giving out contract extensions. ?January is still a long way off, considering we have two games before then. ?We will look at the squad size and who we can bring in and we have already taken steps along those lines. ?As for extending contracts, we can?t look at that.
  11. That reminded me of this auld yin.... Another Glesga burd was involved in a serious crash; there's blood everywhere. The paramedics arrive and drag the girl out of the car till she's lying flat out on the floor. Medic: "OK, I'm going to check if you're concussed." Danielle: "Ok." Medic: "Ok then how many fingers am I putting up?" Danielle: "Oh my god I'm paralysed from the waist down!"

  13. Pigeon cocktails?
  14. They've also invested a lot of money on Iraq and Afghanistan.... Still... It keeps the Taliban off the streets.
  15. No.... In 1997 we got something called "New Labour"
  16. Can't argue with that. No, I wouldn't argue with that either, although some back up for Rooney wouldn't go amiss in addition to two decisive defenders.
  17. I fear you've got that arse about tit, the SNP is (was) a political movement (none of this manifesto bullshit) to devolve powers from Westminster to Scotland and as such a vote for SNP as Alex Salmond has already suggested could put Scotland in a far stronger position should there be a hung parliament. Scottish elections on the other hand should be about selecting the policies we want from our Government. The SNP has lost it's fundamental purpose. They'll still get my vote though, better than the champagne socialists in London. I'd be very happy with a hung parliament, and with the SNP holding the balance of power. That would certainly be good for Scotland. Unfortunately, I just can't see the SNP winning anything like enough seats to achieve that. My fear is they will take a few seats from Labour, but only enough to let the tories win overall, and with a workable majority, which would be a nightmare scenario.
  18. The Government will have to call a general election sometime within the next six months. How should we vote? If this was a Scottish Election, I would probably vote SNP without any hesitation, but an SNP vote in a UK election could contribute to the return of a tory government. I certainly wouldn't want that. Had it not been for Tony Blair's wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, (now supported by Gordon Brown) I would have been happy enough to see a labour government returned. Now I'm not so sure.
  19. DC's age? I'd say across the entire age spectrum - if this forum is anything to go by. The viewing figures for x factor average arond 9.5 million each week, compared to the BBC's flagship politics show, Question Time, which averages around 2.5 million.
  20. I fail to see any problem I have caused by answering, in a civilised way, the areas raised by another poster and indeed I notice other posters have also discussed the areas raised with no resort to anything other than Queens English. However if this is seen as a problem for posting on this forum, I'm sure there is an easy way to rectify it without resorting to pm, twitter or whatever - just don't post!! . I don't see any problems with with this forum either, Absent Friend.... Thank you for addressing my question.
  21. Did you ever play Wolfie Smith on the TV in a previous incarnation? Think that one might be lost on DC, Charles, given that it (Citizen Smith) was an early seventies sit-com, and he is 16 years old... As far as I can remember the Wolfie character in that show, played by a young Robert Lindsay, was heavily influenced by Guevara, hence the avatar resemblance. Hail Citizens!
  22. :021: I would suspect that research is probably quite accurate.
  23. Can you explain what you mean by that? I am not quite sure which part of the above you don't understand, no big words, gave my opinion as I saw it at the time and how I now see it, which is slightly different due maybe to change of playing staff. He is a decent manager for us, in my opinion but he always gives me the feeling when talking that he will perform miracles with the players BUT it does not happen! Hence my goal count for us in the prediction league is always high. No, no big words, but the few you've managed to string together don't make a whole lot of sense. Should ICT persevere with his managerial/interpersonal/media skills beyond the expiration of his contract or not?
  24. No, not really.... It's the "decent manager" bit I'm struggling to get my head round.
  25. Can you explain what you mean by that?
