  1. If I was in Butcher's shoes... yes I would And not forgetting perks like a company car, etc... I've been as critical of TB as anyone else on here since we got relegated, but I certainly don't see him as a quitter.
  2. What do you mean by walk? :( simple enough expression someone 'walks' from a job, they leave of their own accord without severance payment In TB's case you're probably talking of around 50,000 squid or more.... Would you "walk" away from that kind of money?
  3. Is that not still the case?
  4. What do you mean by walk?
  5. He will be rueing that missed opportunity. (and he's not the only one) :(
  6. Seriously, the club gave him a vote of confidence with his contract. He's going to insist on seeing it through, and trying to achieve as high a finish in the league as he can. If he was to get us a 2nd or 3rd finish no doubt he will argue that he should have another season in the job.
  7. He'll just swear back at them!
  8. I can't imagine he'd have the brass neck to stay with no plans to see the team into the next season... with no goals achieved and no future at the club why would he stay??? He'll stay until the end of the season simply because he will be paid handsomely to do so. If the club were to sack him now, they would have to pay him up until the end of the season. Will their resources stretch to to that? I can't see it - especially considering the whole Marius saga has still to be resolved and paid for. Anything less than 6 points from our next two games, will make the second half of this season very depressing indeed.
  9. Yeah.... Drug dealers are an evil enough blight on our society as it is, but anyone found guilty of doing something like that should be locked up for the rest of their lives.
  10. Leave? Why? His contract with ICT runs out at the end of the season, and whether we like it or not, he'll be here up until then.
  11. I would like to see him retained but will our finances stretch to offering him (or anyone else) a new contract?
  12. They have to keep cash aside for these ever so helpful Gaelic/English roadsigns that are sprouting up all over the place. All these poor non-English speaking Gaels from South Uist would be lost without them. For all of you that are having problems getting around on untreated roads - tough chit.
  13. I'm always buying her books/CDs/DVDs that I like.... She's wise to that one now. I even bought her Pele's book for her birthday.
  14. I've never felt comfortable nosieing around in women's underwear shops.... makes me feel sordid and cheap. :D Really? It's obvious when someone is buying for his Mrs or a perv! Just go in and ask!! Does she need a new top/dress or maybe some accessories? Accessories? Such as?

  16. I think Levein is the best choice for the job, but it will be interesting to see what he can do with the material he has available to work with. There sure ain't a lot of budding Souness's and Dalglish's around just now.
  17. Yeap.... And like our washing machine is still going strong!
  18. So.... In the unlikely event that you ever found yourself in his position what would you do?
  19. Assuming you've got Sky TV you should be able to see all of these planned debates. Taking up PullMyFinger's point, I don't see why they shouldn't be able to come up with regional variations involving Sinn Fein and Plaid Cymru.
  20. Yeah.... I'm right into Freud, H/Dee... I was hoping Mrs ICTFC might have come up with something before I corrected my mistake.
  21. Sorry.... Typo.... ?50.00
  22. ?5.00
  23. I'd be more inclined to go for this one : http://lgkc910.co.uk/ We've had an LG washing machine that has gone for donkey's years without any problems. Same sort of thing really.....
  24. This one is really aimed at all the hen-pecked guys on here. (and I know there are quite a few!) What special gift could you possibly get for the woman in your life, who already has almost everything money could buy?
  25. It's been announced today that Brown, Cameron and Clegg have agreed to take part in a series of live TV debates in the run up to the 2010 election. As yet Alex Salmond hasn't been asked to participate. Should he be? The SNP are obviously not going to form the next Westminster government, but they could very well hold the balance of power in the event of a hung parliament. Surely they should participate in at least one debate on TV, even if only shown in Scotland, involving all four party leaders?
