The possible return of the longman fortress!
One swallow and all that.............but I believe we have been building towards this for some time now and whilst I don't expect us to crush every team we play from now on in, I do think we are giving ourselves a decent platform to build upon.

ICT -V- Motherwell : Matchday Thread
It's one of the words I heard shouted as he warmed up I think it was. It seems to be a continuation of the little song aimed at him previously. "Only Sixteen" was the tune, with sixteen being substituted with the word thirteen. Are you hinting that you are the perpetrator of the anti Imrie brigade?

Motherwell Cup ****game on****
It matters to the context of the question. If it was an official comment then it's ludicrous, if it is heresay, then it's ludicrous to believe it. Oho, I see it in the advert above, but that indicates that is only for the Kingsmills part surely. In this thread we have people slagging off the situation before it has even developed.

ICT -V- Motherwell : Matchday Thread
Meanwhile, back at the match....................................... ..............little Jonny was in tremendous form. He was taking the proverbial out of the Well defenders right up to the point where he was bodychecked which resulted in the injury that ultimately forced him off the pitch. Great display of wing wizardy unseen for many a long year at Inverness. Imrie took on the mantle of wing wizard and did a wonderful job as well, taking the ball for many a lung burster in the second half and scoring a superb goal driving the ball hard through the defenders tackle as he cut in from the right flank on the edge of the box. The ball hit powerful enough to go take out the defender and nestle sweetly behind the Ruddy keeper. Maybe Imrie did milk the tackle that flattened him, but hey, Dundee were cute enough at that (Alba) and why should we be any different. Renegade must see things a little differently to most others, but I thought Rossco was superb at the back along with the other three, but Nauris was my MoM for his all round performance and squeezing the opener in was a bonus. Not for the first time this season he has made a nuisance of himself in the opposition box. Sign that papers boy. I was also on the Sanchez had a good game camp as well as Foran. Rooney was probably the least effective but not due to his workrate, just the way the game panned out. We seemed to revert to the days of yore and hitting on the break tactic which served us so well, with Imrie making numerous bursts forward late in the game, and it would have been no surprise had we sored a late clincher, just don't try the heading Dougie, that apart a great half game, that allied to Jonny's half game would surely have been a MoM contribution from Jonny Imrie...............or Dougie Hayes. No failures tonight, even with the defence seeming to get in a fankle in the bottom corner of the pitch and giving possession away three times in the one play. Esson was absolutely solid, standing big when the guy with the difficult name to spell (Jukeboxbits) tried his luck a couple of times from acute angles, but he was never going to beat Esson from there. Proctor was probably best suited to being left in the right back role and did well, Rossco looking like a new born left back. Grantie had some wonderful blocks and Nauris provided a bit of pace and solidity. Russel Duncan had his usual number of awry passes but worked tirelessly as did Coxy who is really starting to stand up. All the front boys hustled and bustled and gave the Well defence a difficult time and even the much maligned Eagle came on and almost scored with his first run into the box but he shot weakly at the keeper from fifteen yards left of goal. Hey ho and on we go, the only dark side being the comments aimed at Mr Imrie (respect) I think he answered the numpties perfectly with his energetic display and his ssshhhhh to the culprit made my day. If he can continue playing like this he can be as arrogant as the claims make out for all I care, it's what happens on the park that interest me. Add a better choice of final ball and we have some player on our hands. So....................Killie pies it is, bring it on.

Imrie
Well said Libero. Keep up the good work while you continue to play for ICT Dougie. Last nights performance from you was back to it's best, running down the wing, chasing lost causes, and general harrassment for the defenders and a goal to boot, keep it up. Georgeios, where has anybody said it was all of section 'G'

ICT -V- Motherwell : Matchday Thread
Well, I'll tell you what, if you guys know who this prikk is, slap him on the back of the head before someone else does. Is this the same one that's inferring paedophilia.............these are serious allegations and should be backed up or shut up.

Imrie
Imrie did very well last night, worked extremely hard for the team and scored a good goal. He was not impressed with some of the fans behind the goals though and stared out long and hard some of them after scoring. These are the guys who are good at the name calling. Leave it out guys, you are not doing anybody any favours with the abuse.

So................... Would all those that slated the no pies disgrace like to apologise. Plenty of grub for those that bothered to turn up.

Tokely at Left Back
He has played in goals before, when our keeper was sent off I think, so he probably has played in every position imaginable. some better than others.

Motherwell Cup ****game on****
We can delete Lionel now as I believe he will be suspended for his sending off against Falkirk in last seasons cup defeat................unless of course we use Dunfermlines team of scrutineers.

Motherwell Cup ****game on****
Thought I had better add, that although the game is on (mfr just confirmed as well), I presume the club are still looking for assistance to grit the surrounding car parks etc.
-
Motherwell Cup ****game on****
Thats the one, look to the link on the left, NEWS, it drops down to give you two options, ICT NEWS, or THE DUGOUT The ICT news is about the club, centenary/games on/off etc The dugout should be about what is happening on the pitch/injuries/signings etc, it is sadly lacking. Our official site is the worst in the SFL for any information regarding players.

Motherwell Cup ****game on****
Probably, how many official sites are there? Check the news from the dugout...... ....the gaffers aftermatch commentary

Motherwell Cup ****game on****
No, latest news on official site is Eric scoring against Airdrie a month ago, give them time. They were not aware a pitch inspection was taking place, but upon asking the chairman he confirmed the game was going ahead.............unless he does not know of a pitch inspection either.

Dundee's relentless march to the title.....
By all accounts Dunfermline were very unfortunate not to have won this game and pummelled the Dundee defence for most of the second half, Dundee having two attacks and scoring with one of them. Plenty of points still to play for.

Dundee's relentless march to the title.....
I don't think the bubble has burst yet, but there is definitely a leak somewhere.

Motherwell Roll Call
So it does................. It's a pity our official site has no mention of it and only requested assistance to grit the car parks for Monday afternoon. ***note, it appears that the South (normally away) car park and the directors car park will be the only ones open. The North Stand car park is probably still badly affected by ice and the aftermath of this will be ankle deep water.

Motherwell Roll Call
Ooooerrrrr Did not realise we were having a pitch inspection this morning.........(sunday) I would have thought the pitch is fine, it has been clear of snow for a week or two. The earlier problems were the roads in the surrounding areas. There is a call for volunteers to assist to grit the car parks as there will still be plenty of ice there, but the thaw has begun and I would imagine this game will go ahead. This thread was started with the original game in mind, maybe that was the inspection you mentioned?

Dundee's relentless march to the title.....
Dundee were practically everybodies favourites to cruise to the SPL long before the season started. The curse of the relegated team has seen us hang on the outer fringe of the battle for promotion along with todays opponents for the jute wallah's, Dunfermline. With Raith Rovers usurping the Harry Wraggs yesterday and Airdrie dicovering that the City of Discovery is not such a daunting place to visit is the engraver right to continue to etch Dundee's name on the SFL trophy? On the face of it, Dundee appear to be strolling to the inevitable, promotion to the fame and fortune of the SPL, meeting wonderful fans from far away places, like the Arabs and the Huns, and even the Irish. But can the rest of the division do anything to halt Jocky Scott's juggernaut of the SFL. It would appear that most of the top seven teams are capable of beating each other on their day, apart from us, as we have still to get into second gear. However, should the chasing pack work together to hunt them down, then their seemingly insurmountable lead will suddenly look more fragile as the months pass. Most teams still have to play Dundee twice, that's six points that they should all be looking to recover, including us. Now I know it's not possible that every team will manage this, but as Joe Cocker said to me the other week, "with a little help from our friends", then maybe mission impossible could happen........ ................this message will self destruct in ten seconds :cdn-flag:

It's ok ref, you should miss scarlet.

Motherwell Roll Call
OK, surely game on this time. Craig Brown got a boost yesterday with Well thumping Tangoman's Killie 0-3. This will be a difficult task for us, but with football starvation at a peak hopefully we can get stuck in like true underdogs and make a game of it. Count me in.
