  1. Then the back of last weeks Ayr programme is as wrong as you. You are far too intense for me, take a break.
  2. Well said Ginger, that's the spirit.
  3. I never knew people from Dundee could write...........remarkable.
  4. There is a full report on the official site now.
  5. I'll check later, I'm, busy just now. A lot of the naysayers and doom and gloom merchants were not at the game. The guys played decent enough and once again more than matched Dundee. They will be just as gutted at not taking all three points. It's unfair some of the knee jerk reactions to us not holding on, disappointing as it is, but Dundee take some of the credit for battling back instead of dropping their heads.
  6. I may change my tune after Tuesday, but I can't see QoS seriously challenging for the title. They were one of the worst teams to visit us and we were unfortunate to only draw down there. We should be looking to pump them on Tuesday night, but the away fixture will be a toughy.
  7. You are right of course. According to most sites, there are two N's, one in Dani, and one in Sanchez. Instead of criticising openly, do a little research, or has he told you personally that they all spell it wrong. Or am I wrong??? Regarding Rooney missing the "sitter" from Erics "mishit" cross..............what utter tosh. Eric picked out a ball to the far post, unfortunately when Rooney arrived the ball was very close to the goal line and just beyond the back post. It would have been very difficult to score from that angle, but it would have looked like he missed an open goal from different viewpoints. The free kick that ultimately led to their opener. Cox stood his ground and I don't think he even jumped to nod the ball forward. The Dee player appeared to bounce off of Cox as he flexed his muscles for the impact, ref awards a free kick. Harkins hit a rubbish one which bounced back off the foot of the wall and Kerr hit a screamer down the centre of the goal which was swerving a bit. Unfortunately for Esson he was caught flat footed by the ferocity of the shot or maybe just on the wrong bounce of his toes, but the ball whistled into the net at head height. Eric was woeful at the start and took half an hour to control the ball. His touch was non existant. He could not tackle a fish supper. He looked better as we started going forward and it was his turn on the edge of the Dee box that enabled him to feed Rooney for the cross to assist Foran. Our defence was coping brilliantly with the talented Dundee forwards and they had littl opportunity to trouble Esson, although he had to palm one over after we stopped playing when the ball appeared to go over the side lines for a throw in to us. We looked superior to Dundee in all departments and came out of the blocks in sensational fashion with Foran netting early. Dundee were on the ropes and it was no surprise that we scored a good second, Eric getting the tap in after good work by Foran and Rooney. Russell Duncan was having a ball, ably assisted by Coxy. Rooney was fantastic again, really growing into the lone striker role. Foran as ever worked his socks off. Hayes was fairly quiet, but reasonably effective when he got on the ball, although he seems to have gone off the boil a little. Defenders coped well until the late freak show. I did however take something back from Dundee. Food poisoning. Anyone else struggling after eating a steak pie???
  8. Yer bubble was almost void of air yesterday until the ref helped Dee recycle with a non free kick which resulted in Kerr's thumping shot. How Harkins can claim the second is like Esson, beyond me. What an opportunity to be right on Dundee's heels, chance goes abegging, but there will be more.

It's probably not a must win match, but more of a must not lose match. In saying that, Dundee are not great on the road and they have more away games than us still to play, so all would not be lost, but it would make it slightly less attainable.
  10. Might get a day pass for this one. A few of us met in the Snug Bar near the ground last time. Good day it was. 75 Church Street, Dundee DD3 7HP Snug Bar
  11. He must have used the whole bottle on that head. I don't think he needs any gimmicks, he is a great wee winger without the big time haircut, it will just draw attention to him. Get back to basics wee man and rip Dundee a new one next week please.
  12. Looks like we helped Jocky with his repair kit and smoothed over some rough edges. A couple of points down the drain for us today. One of the most disappointing results this season considering the run we were on. Still, one point closer, but the deficit has actually grown.....groan. Never mind, you keep looking over yer shoulder Jocky, we are coming.

Is he better than Wayne?................he has ginger hair but we don't care..........look at Jonny's hair... My point is, Adam Rooney has rescued us a couple of times recently with nerve jangling penalties. I say fair play to Adam for putting away these chances albeit from the spot. Put yourself in his shoes. Have you ever taken a penalty? Have you ever had to take a penalty in the last seconds of a game to change the result?? Have you ever had to do this repeatedly to save the teams blushes/drive for promotion/consecutive run/dignity, or just from the wrath of the supporters. I took a penalty once, after the friendly game we were playing petered out. The first three or four guys scored then it came to my turn. Although the attention had waned, and the rest of the guys started to open their cans of Tennents, I stood alone on the penalty spot against the keeper......................nobody gave a chit, but I did, was I going to be the first to fail or would I slot it away confidently. Well, I ended up with nerves like Rooney.............of course I put the keeper the wrong way....or did he dive too early, tough chitty. I ran away to take the plaudits of the wifie, two dogs a cat a half finished carry out and a tandem, I was euphoric. My point is, he deserves plenty of credit for slotting the ball home, it's not as easy as it looks. Adam Rooney Caley's No 9

No Andy, he was what I thought having a decent game and certainly looked up for it then he was hooked by Butch. Eric also played his mini cameo role, but Dani was the one that was probing and asking the questions. Still, it's in the eye of the beholder and that is outwith his contribution.

As it says on the tin. What do you think of Dani......... My thinking is that he is one of the most talented players to play for ICT. His vision is second to none and he can play people in at will. Maybe he is too clever for us. Whats your thoughts as he seems to be getting equal amounts of praise and stick at the same time???
  16. Not having a go at you renegade, but Rooney worked very hard and did more than most to help the cause. Jonny Hayes was awarded the sponsors MoM, must have been for his dyed blonde hideous haircut. As you said, we were let down by our benevolent defence. If there were any fall guys, or guys who should maybe have offered more, then Proctor was ineffective as was Esson, poorest game yet. Rossco as you said had minging distribution especially in the first half but looked more comfortable pushing forward in the second. But lets not detract from the fact that ICT threw away a tremendous opportunity to squeeze closer to the leaders, games to play granted. The ref, oh yes, almost forgot, was useless right down to awarding us a penalty. He brought play back three or four times when advantage might have been an advantage.........where do they get them from.
  17. Disgusted Ayr were there for the taking and we fecked up. Fair play for playing to the death plus injury time, plus extra time, plus time added on for their keeper taking an eternity to decide where he wanrted to take his goal kicks from. In truth we should have won this game against a plucky Ayr side by three or four clear goals. In reality we squandered chance after chance and to their credit they took the crumbs they were given and hit the back of the net. The first, I don't think they should have had a free kick forty yard out on the wing, and when the ball came in the normally reliable Esson flapped badly, the ball was eventually blocked on the line then tapped in. The second was a decent break by Ayr as we lacked penetration and they hit effectively on the counter. We equalised on the stroke of half time as some viewers went for a comfort break, Foran I am told. Jonny Hayes restored parity with a good finish across the keeper as is his trademark. His hair is just honking though, he should concentrate on his football first before he starts the playboy stuff. Ayr then restored their advantage with another smart smash and grab and at this point we looked forlorn. Down but not out despite the walkout by some fans, yet we continued to pass on great opportunities. The brilliant Sanchez was replaced as we searched for an equaliser and Eric did OK, but where were we going to get that killer pass from. The unlikely happened when Grantie was awarded a penalty with a dying swan sumersault deep into time added on to time added on and Rooney fairly thwacked home the resultant spot kick. To be honest to the honest men, and if they are honest, they deserved nothing from this game, but they almost sneaked all three points, and we used our last get out of jail almost free card. One point and a dent to our presumed goal difference was not good enough to appease this fan and a few others were disgruntled......until they heard the County score. This was not what wilsononourwing would have wanted, but all is not lost yet, although we are making it difficult to believe. MoM for me was Russeldinho, grafted tirelessly as did one or two others. Hayes was good and bad. Rooney is fast becoming our saviour. The defence and in particular Rossco and Esson need to get over this game and start again.

Iv'e got you a brush & comb set for yer birthday. Urftay burfday
  19. Does not appear to have been frosty overnight, certainly nothing seious if there was any. Don't think there is any snow lying at pitch level. Very overcast at present and as pitch looked good in the passing yesterday things are looking ok, unless the constabulary think otherwise. tm4tj - Inverness.
  20. The pitch is a lovely lush green colour this morning, it looks fab.
  21. Can you be more specific Charles?
  22. It's only Thursday though. Apparently the pitch is in decent nick. Today was simply the most horrendous day this century. Driving sleet, strong winds and f f f freezing. Outside Inverness it would appear to be chaotic. However, if it's based solely on the pitch being ok then it might just go ahead.
  23. Back by popular demand, the Chester Incident. See johnboy's link, there are answers in there. Get rid of the paranoia and all will be well.
  24. Yes, stop digging up old dead and buried topics. It's not a lot to do with ICT and you got an answer, end of. Come up with something fresh about ICT and I'm sure it will remain on the main ICT forum. And, did you really need to ask?
