  1. Rock concert at Caley Park, getting pissed in the Crit before the concert, sleeping in a field at Daviot after the concert and getting home to Grantown on the back of the milk van at five in the morning. This was about 1970, the same concert that we discussed on here before. Line up.......... Hot Cottage, local band. Savoy Brown. Taste, (Rory Gallacher) Atomic Rooster. Black Widow. String Driven Thing. Brinzley Schwartz. Tear Gas. Best since, Eagles at Hampden George Thorogood at Shepherds Bush. Black Sabbath at Music hall Aberdeen........early 70's
  2. Well I am not signing it, fork all wrong with the road, plenty places to overtake. It's the people that use the road that are the problem :steward:
  3. I suggest you do it. Dargo needs to get his finger out, last season is history. Unfair to ask how many goal assists Bayne has, not his fault if the great Dargo can't put them away. Did Bayne not release him a couple of times against Killie, and did he not get the last touch for Dargo's goal. Agreed he has also missed a few decent chances, but like Rankin, he will come good. But for a great reflex save at the weekend, he would have certainly scored and he also did well to get on the end of one in the first half which screwed wide.
  4. Instead of criticising Bayne for not heading the ball to Dargo, how about Dargo runs to where the ball is headed to. It can be difficult enough to keep winning these high balls, and more so direct it perfectly every time with two six foot four muscle men breathing down your neck. Dargo was anonymous on Saturday, so much so I thought he was coming on half way through the second half. It is up to Dargo to read the knock on's better and get on the end of them. Bayne is doing all he can to win the headers.
  5. Engrossing stuff, and absolutely delighted for Darren Clarke when he finished his match, very emotional moment, and shows the cameraderie that exists between the players. Paul Casey should go and put a couple of lines on the lottery for this week, he is on fire at the moment. Tremendous golf at one stage today, you would have thought it was highlights you were watching as guys were pitching in or holing tee shots all over the place and thirty forty and fifty foot putts dropping were the norm. Great entertainment. :clapping04: :clapping04: :clapping04:

    Blackie

He was sent off in the Futures game after coming on as a sub, for another trademark late lunge.

    Blackie

Is he trying to p!ss off CC and the fans before he departs, cos he is going the right way about it. He needs to get a grip and start playing the creative role and get forward to help the strikers more. This Billy Bremner role is not doing him any good. The refs are well aware of him now and he will be sent of sooner rather than later. It's a great pity as he has a lot to offer ICT. So come on Blackie, sort yourself out and start performing in a positive manner please.
  8. Fair points GOTPW Black does need to mature in the mental attitude, and Rankin for me has not started yet. Wyness was off the boil, but he definitely has the skill to turn a game, something we do lack. Still, dubbing us as 2cnd bottom is a bit unfair/
  9. I phoned CC and told him to take Black off and put Hart on, think it worked. Well deserved point and sounds as though Broonie did his International recognition no harm, with a stunning save near the end. Pity Dargoe missed a sitter......unbelievable, however, I would have taken a point before the game so better than nothing
  10. He doesn't mean it, he is only a wee guy
  11. excellent, had him as first scorer :019:
  12. No Could midge and humpedagain be the same bitter and twisted wretch??
  13. Great, what's for dinner Alex :005:
  14. Bring back the clutter. I liked all the forums lying around and not knowing what to do with them or where to post. Bring back the clutter, clutter is Bomb :010:
  15. Oh well................I was first to post last night after the game.................It's maybe just as well it disappeared. It started, Tripe.......utter tripe and went down hill after that. Today on reflection, neither team deserved to win. Falkirk took the one chance that came their way, I don't recall Brown making any saves last night and the Falkirk keeper was almost as untroubled. We on the other hand missed a couple of very good chances to score. Dods ducking under the ball about five yards from goal, the ball hitting the back of his neck. Bayne fromk a similar distance, diving full length to connect with a ball that bounced across the box near the end, unfortunately for Bayne and much to our anxst, the ball came off the top of his bonce and flew five yards over the bar. The team and tactics were abysmal and the lad Stokes was the only player on the park willing to hold and control the ball, deserving his MoM award. Tokely and Hastings were both poor last night, in fact Hastings was worse than poor, sitting too far back when we needed someone to overlap, but then again why bother, when he does get up the wing, his Canadian crosses are usually garbage. Duncan and Keogh in the middle were ineffective, Dargo useless and Broon back to his worst kicking. Who does that leave, Dods, Munro did okish, Barry never woke up till the last minutes, McBain about the same and that leaves poor old Bayners, as usual giving 150%, but how about giving us some goals. Hart for me should get a run, Morgan one more chance, although he fails to do it as sub and young Rory will get his chance later in the season. In truth, we did not deserve to win, but neither did Falkirk. No atmosphere for these CIS cup games they are now becoming a waste of time, even the old firm can't be arsed with them, and all fans are voting across the country with their feet. On the positive side...............errm......eh....welll........ Maybe the return of Wyness Black and the much maligned Rankin will transform us into world beaters.
  16. Unfortunately, there is no accounting for morons. I too have sat close to a moron......not you Richard, another moron, and for the entire 90 minutes it is just drivel that comes forth from his opening. Every club has them. But we should also remember that not everyone is blessed with the same amount of brain cells and are not fully responsible for their ineptitude. Live and let live............within reason..........thats why I sit beside you Richard. If these guys continue to utter tripe, maybe someone should politely remind them that they shut the fork up before they get a smack on the jaw.
  17. No, but here are my thoughts We appear to be set up to play to our strengths, solid defending and hit on the break. This we can achieve away from home as teams try to have a go. When they come to our patch, they do the same to us and we struggle to carve out the clear cut chances that we require to kill off a game. It probably boils down to lack of real quality, but not many teams in Scotland have that. Me, I am happy enough with our lot, never going to win the SPL, (I'll eat my hat), maybe good cup runs now and then and the odd venture into the top six. For me it is about the individuals perceptions and expectations. I like to try and keep my glass half full, if we exceed that then fantastic, if we under achieve my expectations (relegation, perish the thought) then so be it, I personally can't do anything about that, but it would be a trifle annoying. Lets not forget how far we have come since we entered the big boys leagues. We are now playing against teams we previously only encountered occasionally in the cups, and we are competing fairly well. We have nothing to be ashamed about, remember............... There is no curse, it's all in your own mind.
  18. Well done to Rovers for getting to the semi final of the challenge cup. I see they are doing a deal for their fans. Remember when we were in their position. FANtastic gesture by them to offer a day out in Dingwall for £20, inclusive of transport, match ticket, and PACKED LUNCH. Now, thats the way it should be. from the rovers web site:- Travel Deal The club shall be laying on transport leaving from Cliftonhill at a to be confirmed time if 2.30pm that day. The bargain of the decade price for transport including a packed lunch and admission to the match is £20/£15. :clapping04:
  19. ??, I'm suspicious now. I thought Black covered a lot of ground yesterday. Unfortunately most of his good work was defefensive rather than creative, but he was still decent enough to be admonished of a slagging. He kept his cool after his booking, which was a bit needless, although I did not think the foul given against him for which he remonstrated was a stick on, maybe the ref got that one wrong, anyway it obviously angered the wee man. There is no curse, we just need to develop a system to break teams down and put away the numerous chances which come our way.
  20. nice writing B, but I also heard lots of people say that.............??? We have also only lost one game at home, and that was a 'shock' result. We played the current league champions who were unable to beat us. We played top six side Hibernian, who played as well as they have done against us, and still failed to win. We played another top six side in Aberdeen whom we have never beaten before in a competitive match. Agreed we seem to be better suited to away days, as we are more adept at counter attacking. Unfortunately the rest of the SPL will have noticed this and play us at our own game. It's a hard old life.

    Whats going on??

Are you still awake, off tae yer bed :015: We are a hard lot to please up north and the expectations seem to grow greater with every season. We just need to chill sometimes. I didn't see a massive problem with our performance today.................sometimes aye, sometimes naw, but we never lost ground on United and in fact we climbed a place in the league.
  22. Bayne did ok, his shooting and heading at goal left a bit to be desired but Black was one of our best players......in my humble opinion. Now Rankin, different class, I'll let you decide which class. Oh, Tokely's nudge was more like a hook to the ribs :015: well done Rossco.
  23. tm4tj

    Whats going on??

Whats the problem 1more, Tokely stuck to a difficult task and won his fair share of headers and tackles, did not see a problem there. Hoofing the ball, we did a bit of that , but maybe instead of everybody criticising our own team, we should give United a bit of credit for taking the game to us. Unfortunately wing wizrd Wilson left his magic at home today and one of our midfielders has still to turn up. The main bubble is impregnable, maybe it is Dargs bubble that has burst.
