So, the maximum speed in a built up area for emergency vehicles should be 30mph or 20 is plenty, at times?? I hope the robbers/rapists/ murderers all realise that this is the case and play by the rules and stick to the speed limit to give our guys some help. Blues and twos, lets alert the baddies that we are behind them at all times and they may cut their speed. I have not tried to put a case for the driver, I have said do not put him in prison where he will be given a worse time than the said, robbers/rapists/ murderers!!

Well I suppose tomorrow, GOOD FRIDAY, highlights your case! So, so sad. Spoken like a true Isreali. I have read the content of these two posts over and over, analysing the language used, re-analysing and then over analysing. My thoughts on the matter now are that I believe that there is a high chance that this was not meant but 5thstand's post is perhaps worthy of true fisherman status. So obviously over exaggerated and comical viewpoint on a serious subject, probably stolen from a stand up routine watched on Paramount comedy but what absolutely, totally and unbelievably defies belief is that absent friend took the bait so hard that he felt he should take the moral and religious high ground. Nice catch 5thstand she's a beaut. If this was a windup - I hope it was - then this, along with Lionel is a legend by Bronson, makes me guilty as hell at taking the bait! .

Well in my book poor Roscoe has let his fingers run a wee bit quicker than his brain! HOWEVER, it takes balls to admit your wrong, see above and for that I will let it fade away. Onto the subject matter, the policeman has come forward, the inquiry has moved onto a higher level and I feel it is an open and shut case. Caught on camera, person moving away from scene, hands in pockets and as remarked upon on here, looks totally laid back, with a total lack of confrontation in his body language. I hope the policeman gets his just deserts. To even up the score I feel that the policeman charged and found guilty of the road accident, which killed a girl, whilst pursuing a stolen car, should not be locked up. Can you now think of the position of the drivers of the emergency service vehicles with this hanging over them? Heart attack victim, our nearest and dearest, sorry we had to stay within the speed limit and we are just too late. A murderer NOT caught because he drove away too quickly from the crime scene and the police had to let him go as they could end up in jail and he, the murderer then carries out another 5 murderer before he is caught! The drivers are not above the law and must pay for their crimes but due to their work, must not be locked up, with the scum they have helped to put into jail - FOR US!! .

With this new DNA testing, old cases are being reopened with big results for the solving of the cases. Today it is a 35 year old case where they have now charged the culprit. I heard on a programme regarding this advance that they have now, in America, changed the guilty charge on 168(?) cases - 34 on Death Row!! (My figures are wrong but the Death Row number made me sit up and take notice) 34 Murders by the state, if my figure is correct, and not a judge/ jury member/ false witness ever brought to trial. I don't know what we do with the horrible people but if one is potentially innocent we can't kill them. .

'She changed her life for the better' How? By further education? By charity work? Oh no, she went onto a reality show, flashed her bits, was rude to all and sundry and made all viewers so proud to be British and I don't think-( thank God she wasn't Scottish) She was then exploited by the media and their parasitical friends, including Max Clifford. Lets just hope that there is no daft wee lassies out there, using Jade as someone to aspire to. Is Parkie apportioning blame re her birth place etc or just stating a fact?

Holding your breath for 15 minutes is not very loud!

Now, look here Johnboy, you are sounding as if you have something against the Gaelic!!
-
I think our ffirst goal came from a Grant punt upfield and our scond came from.....wait for it...a throw in by..... none other than .........LIONEL!! And you were going to ditch the pair for the game!!

Don, knowing your feeling for the Gaelic, maybe a wee welcome in the 'mother tongue' would go down well!

The Best Spl Relegation Battle Ever?
absent friend replied to CELTIC1CALEY3's topic in Caley Thistle
I think we have to realise that Aberdeen are pushing for a third place finish so for us to win by less than three clear goals must not be seen by our fans as a bad performance! I know 6-0 for us is on the cards but be grateful! Rossco gets two, Grantie gets one and, guess what, Barrowload gets a hattrick! Now I am dreaming. -
I was disappointed to note on a thread on here, regarding where to meet for the Dons match, that it was stated that the BonAccord Golf Club - the nearest club/building to the park- did not make someone welcome. This is totally not the case, unless the doorman felt the person was 'out of order' I have had the assurance from Duggie, steward (exInverness Caley manager - the hotel), Charlie, secretary and Rickie, the club captain that ICT fans are very welcome and indeed they would be disappointed if their past provision of hospitality is not again taken up by the fans. Well priced drink and very affordable food. Our colours hang proudly above the club till and the club boast of this presentation, to them, by ICT. It will be super to see all the locals in high spirits, poor souls, before the match and drowning their sorrows thereafter. Look forward to a BIG turnout.

As long as this does not result in 'player power' and Rangers players forget to perform tomorrow. I would have preferred if this 'storm in a teacup' was next week after they had beat Falkirk 4-0!!
-
Gee, thanks for that - is that the old Dundee United guy? He is the/his assistant. Well, now I know!!
-
I would suspect that a plan was put in place following our last match and the assistant given instructions. He, the assistant, has managerial experience in his own right at a level I would suggest, higher than our previous manager and will have been capable of carrying them out. I also think that in this day and age, TB would have been in constant contact with the club and his assistant, so let's hope his wanderings will be rewarded with a win for us, as he must be on a high after last night.

I wonder if the missing people could be trapped inside the wreckage? I also wonder how difficult the recovery of the wreckage will be. Will depth create a problem or in this times are they able to use a remote method to help recovery without the use of divers? Thoughts go out to all the families but also to the workers still out there who will come onshore, entering into the cabin of a chopper! Some Thought!

Today (Thursday) Burley has stated that Ferguson is still a squad player and will still have the captains band!! What the potential loss of ticket sales to the Rangers faithful will do. If he played for other than an OF team his feet would not have touched the ground, he would have been out the door so quickly!

I watched the game on TV, live, and came away thinking we had a lucky escape, no stars on show for us, except Gordon and with palpitations due to the last five minutes. I watched the BBC highlights later and guess what? We were wonderful! Excellent play, excellent players, it could have been ten! (exaggeration) Not sure if I was so on edge watching or scared when watching that I was not able to appreciate the finer points or was it very good BBC editing! I thought the our game suited Iceland, we were not playing down the flanks enough - BBC, we played down the flanks. Hatton did not run up the wing enough - BBC, Hatton was up the wing a lot. Brown did not play his normal forceful game - BBC, Brown very industries. Naysmith dodgy - BBC, Naysmith solid. Gordon was excellent - BBC, Gordon was excellent! As Meatloaf would say - one out of five is sh..! Anyway a win is a win! Well done!
-
I would have to say Broxburn and Bathgate - not very bonnie! Dundee - pre it's facelift. If I had not worked there for a number of years I would not, however, have enjoyed the Ferry, that's Broughty Ferry, it is/was different class, the Caley Golf Club at Carnoustie, the easy escape into North Fife and, of course, the famous Dundee 'pae'! Oh, and Shuggies Pub, up the Hilltown. Nor would I have known that I carried a 'fave' iron in my golf bag! .

Sorry Kingmills but semi-finalists are never remembered. What really matters is how many of these boys are capable of stepping up to the next level and lets not forget that the reserve league is being scrapped by the SPL. Good youth teams will not help the first team but a development programme pruducing good players will! I can't believe that you are not offering praise to our team for progressing to this level. Like Kingsmills, I do think they have done so well for the club.

Well R23, I applaud your sentiment!! Lets look at some areas being discussed on here. No, before I do that I would like to direct you to the P & B site, Red Ultras site, etc and look for this type of content, no chance! I am so proud of all ICT has achieved but I am equally proud of this site and the contents therein. Anyway the points under discussion. If all politicians are corrupt, we are in one awful state. If no candidate is standing for principle but only for selfish reasons, we are in an awful state. I cannot subscribe to that. We have people like Tony Benn, nose already in a well off trough and gives up his title to give back to the country/people his tuppence worth. He is not on his own but just an example. If it is so easy and so well paid why are the critics not standing and changing the system, one wonders! Well paid? ?70, 000 per year?? I have plumbers earning that sort of money, offshore workers earning that sort of money, engineers earning that money. A guy managing a team of door mail droppers earning that money! The position an MP holds, with all the responsibility attached to it, is worth, in my opinion, well in excess of ?70,000 plus expenses. Have a look at the oil company execs. income and expenses and as we are now aware, bankers income and expenses and do a comparison. They do not vote on our country going to war etc! Expenses - this second home allowance for an MP, as I understand it, has only the interest being funded by the state. Take a loan of ?300000, small change in London, monthly cost ?1800, of this total, the amount being paid by the tax payer, assuming tracker rate, is circa ?250 per month. Not a big cost to us when you consider all the bad press this receives. Hands up, did you think it was all paid by us? Now, this MP should be sacked for two porn film charges to her MP expenses, by her partner, by mistake! Cost? I am pleased to say I don't know! Say ?20!! How many tradesmen have put an extra couple of hours on a timesheet? Employees come in late or leave early and claim for a full day? AND, there is no question of mistake in their actions. Lastly, if we were all responsible for our partners actions, now where would that leave us? Partner caught drink in charge -Oops, we have just lost our driving job! Partner has ill health - Oops, you have just failed your medical. Daft isn't it!! Yet this MP is responsible for her partners actions when she was not even there! Yes there is room for reform and not before time BUT don't throw the baby out with the bath water!! .

That was the time! In Magaluf I think, he(JC) was so wound up he relegated his best keeper to the reserves/bench until they hit rock bottom and only then played him. Child like!! Can you imagine Fergie in the same situation, he would have kicked lumps out of the keeper and done the same each time he came off the park and then finished it. Keeper learnt his lesson, Fergie still played good keeper and the manager would still be seen as the manager, by the rest of his players! The info above I have been given by a staff member at Pittodrie who I sometimes golf/pint with and he just thinks it is the severance costs that is stopping a change at the moment!

Not intended to highlight you or anyone in particular Johnboy, just pointing out how things change and maybe putting some of the ridiculous abuse that our ex Manager has received on CTO in perspective. No offence meant and apologise if this is how you see it. Now Sorted, I hope our management team are not reading this. All you have to do now is find the other 19 and you will realise being an ICT football fan does have it's ups and downs and very often, short memories! I do think however, that TB is without doubt more mature as a person than CB. Unlike CB, he will be able to accept a situation and therefore address it. When the newness wears off, he will still be able to freshen up the squad from both within and on the touchline and not as was seen from CB's last days, with a degree of fingers and arms being crossed. His assistant must also play a more helpful part and therefore be worth more to him than CB's assistant. Their collective standing in the game will, I hope, bring in new faces when the window opens, who would never consider us under CB. All in all a better future for the club and the fans! Now that is something for the archives in two years time! .

Should have read Langfield!! Easy seen I'm a CaleyThistle supporter - can't even get their keepers name right!!

Calderwood shows, unfortunately, all normal human traits - seen in a primary school playground. He has his pals (Young and co) and they can back chat him anytime. His main bully target (Foster) He spoke back and the rest is history. He is prepared to let Aberdeen, the team, suffer due to his petulance. Latchford ('My international goalie' JC) was only returned to the team when it was bottom of the league due to Calderwoods petty lip. Foster and Latchford - playground bully targets - 'Your not getting into my side see!' This mature manager targets Aluko, the youngest, most inexperienced player on the park, publicly and verbally abuses him, for all to here, on his lack of defensive duties and he was the left winger!! I will predict that the next manager into Pittodrie, with the current players, will carry out a, Butcher like, transformation! .
