  1. Excellent news, both know exactly what is required and are wise enough to screw the head when disipline is needed in the team.
  2. exactly, only half filled with gravy

When the new season kicks off, who thinks Rossco will still be a centre half, or will he be a maurading full back once again. Showed some promise as a centre, do you think Tel might be trying to extend his career by doing this - saving his legs so he gets a twenty year testimonial. In fact do you get anything for being 20 years a player at one club.

Nah, North Kessock is a total non starter. No room for 2 teams in Ross shire. Might be the best way to get a Ross shire team in the SPL though. As far as I can remember over the bridge is Ross shire
  5. At least you got a cold bit of meat. I got an empty shell one week, showed them and they gave another free!!!
  6. From what I gather Scott is the U-19 coach and Doc is the first team coach. Sharing the duties. Think Doc will be overseeing Scotty, and providing a wise ear to offer advice

HaHA the truth will come out, and I do predict one or more of us will be right

Had a dream the other night in which I met the Bran Seer, and he did predict that ICT would play European football in a new build 15,000 seater stadium at Inshes. When I woke up it was amazing that i could remember so much of the dream and the Seer's predictions coz i could even remember going to bed! 10 years time we will be at Inshes super stad de Caley.
  9. Scott Kerracher and John Docherty to take the under 19s I would think
  10. So Dundee kept trying to tell us they didnt spend much money on players, and as many of us here said, myself included, pointed out it wasnt the cost of signing the players it was the cost of the overpaid primadonna bighead so called star players. Their wages bill last season must have been grossly stupid, and partly funded by a man, Mr Melville, who himself said second was not good enough as second is for losers! what you doing with your millions now Callum Melville. As soon as your team dont gey what you want, suddenly you have Stuart Milne pockets - very deep with padlocks on them. Dundee - when will they learn, as this will be the third time in recent history they will be in the brown sticky stuff from trying to buy success. Pity really as if they had the right people running them they should be a force in Scottish football, but cant see them in the SPL for a while now. Hope Queens win title next season!
  11. Was the music from Damien the Omen for a good while. Hated it as just didnt seem right. Think they started to lean towards the Shamrock in the end and the Thin Lizzy entry went down very well. Good old tune and better than Rod Stewart for an ongoing basis
  12. Heard today that Middlesborough are planning a few games north of the border, Arabs, Dons and ICT. Came from a Newcastle fan so no idea if there is any weight in it! Robson, Scott McDonald, Strachan - and more Scots before the new season
  13. What do you think of ICT going for some of the decent players being released from clubs down in Engerlandshire. Although they may be deemed not good enough for some teams, touching 30 or just over, would it be worth a punt on a couple of those experienced guys like Cadermarteri at Dundee Utd, Jody Morris at St J. These players have probably played at a higher standard than the SPL, but will find it very hard to get another club the way things are going down south. Sometimes one or two of these guys can change the dynamics of the team, and add strength to he backbone of the side and depth. Any sensible, within budget suggestions?
  14. Was quite a damp squid today, after all the hype, and all the banter. Glory hunters got what they deserved, poor game really, County just did nt play, didnt turn up, atmosphere on the tv was very very poor for a cup final. Started watching it hoping they were going to get humped heavily, as it progressed and after a bore first half united kind of took the game with more urgency. When they went 2-0 up, found myself smug but all of a sudden felt a wave of pity and hoped they might at least get a decent shot at goal. So be it they didnt, and they were terrible. But where wwere those players who DID play so well against Celtic. Think the occassion must have got to them, only pluses today would be Brittain and a few of the defenders. Would we sign any of them on todays showing though, a couple of them might make the squad now, but i do still like the look of Richard Brittain.
  15. The kid is actually pointing out that the opposition are now two down PAY CLOSER ATTENTION ALEX, ITS 2 - 2!!
  16. Pre season friendlies. Has any one heard if Terry intends to take the squad away for hot weather training, with a few games thrown in, or shall we be doing the circuit de highland league. Cant recall if Terry had a favoured destination when he was with Motherwell, but some managers like to go to areas they know. Highland league doesnt do us any harm at all, and if it made the difference of another signing it might be worth it. Anyone heard whats occurring yet
  17. Was never any where near one of my favorites. knew that he had plenty of ability BUT found it frustrating that he didnt do it often enough, and found that he lost the ball too often from trying too hard. Scored a few spectacular goals though. Prefer the more skillful Johnny Hayes, more consistant and more end result. THANKYOU
  18. The Caledonian was just about next door to Pittodrie
  19. Spoke to Robert Eagle before this was announced, and he was saying it took him until Xmas to settle up here. Has a young kid back down south and said it was a bit of getting used to not seeing him. Thought he might have merited another year. Lionel, Bully fell out of Terry's circle of trust - so the writing was on the wall. Sorry for Duff, but if he is still to train with us there is still hope for him I suppose
  20. And believe it or not, West Ham will be one of the lower payers. Imagine Man U, Man C, Chelsea, and the like. West ham have a few over 30,000 per week, some clubs have similar numbers over 100,000 per week. Jack Collison was in the first team beside millionaires, and keeping some out of the team
  21. Always remember being told that for every 50 players trialed maybe one is good enough, so to make up a squad of 15 youth players ( and were talking under 10s ) it takes a very keen eye to spot some promising talent, although a few will stand out from the crowd. Then as they get proper coaching, from the guys that go out and do their coaching badges - not the know alls at the side of the pitch who lambast every decision. They are specifically trained to nurture the best out of the talent they have, and often finding the position to best suit the player. Every year players will be dropped, moved on for different reasons, with others coming in. It would be pretty rare that any player spotted at 7 or 8 years old is still at a club at 18 -19. As all the distractions that come along add pressure to these guys. Careers, money, social life, wine women and song as it were, can change the youngsteras attitude. So I would say that if any youth player makes it all the way through the ranks and plays for the first team, it must be an incredibly proud moment for the Youth trainers to see, always hoping they can then make it to become a regular in the squad. I know that at the moment the youth players at the club are amongst the best they have ever produced. Liam Polworth being a shinning example having been picked for Scotland youth squads, played, scored, and not ever looked out of place. However, a danger sometimes is some exceptional players never achieve at the top level having peaked too early, or burnt them selves out. And its the players that have just hung in there who do make good professionals at top clubs. Over the years Inverness and the surrounding area has had few exceptional players, most likely due to the level of football in the area with the Highland league ( which harboured many a player who were good enough to play at a much higher level ). I personally think that as ICT has grown in stature so has our standard of youth teams, Training and players. Out of the 15s and 17s at the moment a good dozen to fifteen have a very good chance of going on to have a career in full time football, with many of these unrecognised at national level, probably purely because other clubs have better players in their squads at the moment. That doesnt mean thay are not real talents. However the longer we are at the summit of Scottish football the better the standards become, and the more consistant levels of player we will produce. In Terry Butcher and Maurice Malpas I also think we have two men of football intelligence who know when to blood promising players, without harming their progress. Hope Im proven right, as I think they had a very good track record of this at Motherwell, and our good promising guys will get a shout if they show they are capable. The future is bright
  22. For 5ive phucing minutes, we have just won the championship, one game short of our unbeaten record, 9 wins in a row, 6000 plus at a home game, 99.9% of them home fans, created history as the biggest turn around in points advantage ever, beat your closest rivals to the title, beat the team with all the money, and on the back of relegating a team the week before with what was the performance of the season away from home when they had already won the league and didnt need to perform. I dont know. Thought it was all very well behaved. More risk of a riot when Rob Stewart came out. Still more than most enjoyed the fact that it was our party and not Dundee's! thats why were champions, thats why were champions, thats why were champions, thats why were champions!
  23. Yes we did and got a thumping, but remember a bit of a rumpus as we didnt get a home tie first, as you normally have the flag unfurling for the first game
  24. One game short of matching our unbeaten run. Think I am right in saying as 1st division winners we would normally start the SPL season at home to unfurl the championship flag, and as champions it will normally be against one of the lower teams from the SPL this season. It would be amazing to match the record as we will have achieved it at a much higher level this time. Heres hoping the boys break that record and re write our history books again.
  25. Can not see why people are acting like its a big suprise. Top scorer 27 goals in all compititions, after struggling to get a starting place early on n the season. When we struggled last season in the SPL, Adam was our top scorer when he hardly got a start. Although he misses a few, he will always be there to get on the end of chances. Though that Adam would score consistantly given a run of games, and so it has been proved. Really hope he extends his stay just to see what our Shamrock attack can achieve with the squad we are likely to have nexy season. As our main striker next season, I would hope that avoiding injury he might be pushing 15 - 18 goals, and anything over that would be a bonus. Added to that Foran and Hayes will likely match his total between them. Heres to an outstanding season in the SPL, and can see us matching St Johnstone's achievements this season. Trust Tel and Mo to pluck a few more stars from the shaddows elsewhere to blend into the squad. TCS looks like a good place to be next season.
