  1. ELEVEN CAPTAINS ON THE FIELD OF PLAY TODAY, WITH JIM MACINTYRES TEAM OF THE YEAR STAPLED TO THEIR CHESTS.
  2. Had thought about this quite a bit now, and my own thoughts were largely the same as the majority. The first lower league team to beat Celtic on their own patch, with a Highland league origin level of players. Shock waves was one description, it was Tsunami proportions that went throughout the world. Yeah it was an out of form Celtic team with some pretty decent players and a lot of international caps amongst them. County have done the same, against an out of form Celtic, with a few good, to very good players. But they did it on the national platform, BUT it only sent ripples around Britain, not Europe or the world - apart from the Celtic world. This was partly due to the previous defeats by lower level teams that Celtic have now suffered. However, I did hear Neil Lennon say in an interview that from a Celtic point of view the defeat in Inverness was the biggest achievement, as that was against a well oiled, winning mentality, full of internationals, great Celtic team. One which goes down in history for all the right reasons, not the wrong ones. Considering it was against a very successful manager, with a team of god knows how many international caps for big countries. So I will go with the ginger whingers opinion on what has been the biggest achievement INVERNESS CALEDONIAN THISTLE 1 ( DENNIS WYNESS ) GLASGOW CELTIC 0. a lot of our players that night also played in the Parkheid game too, so double whammy
  3. Change will happen, but priority will be to protect the number of games, as income is king. Imagine 30 games, average crowd 5000, thats got to be a loss of ? 70,000 per home game x 8 games = half a mill. Its not just ticket sales that effect, as for less games the season tickets have to cost less too, partly why Motherwell are rightly up in arms. Best is most likely the 14 team league, home and away then split in half and home away again, 38 games, 2 up 2 down, possible play off aswell. League cup the way it was for years with initial local mini league, leading onto last 16 maybe, and possibly include best non league teams. Attendances would nt be great but it games, less travel, local interest, ie County, ICT, Elgin, Clach, Nairn and Forres. Peterhead, Broch, Dons, Cove, Locos and Huntly etc Although it would be like a bye for Aberdeen most years
  4. I understand why folks might think Toon or Canaries, but they are winning teams at the moment. Im thinking of teams that have sunk rather low, Bradford City still get 12 - 15,000 at home games and they are mid 4th level division. Thinking of a team abroad somewhere and they were relegated down a couple of divisions for buying the ref nice things - might have been Fiorentina or Napoli. Aware of Dortmunds 80,000 a week, but they still a force in top division.
  5. We all know who profess to have the best and most loyal fans in the world, but only an exaggerated attendance of 27,500 were present last night v Motherwell. Celtics attendance figures this season have been shocking, and thats after one poor half season, Who in your opinion are the most loyal in the world. Who have been relegated and still get FULL HOUSES. Thinking Germany, South America, Turkey etc
  6. Bloke walks into a brothel and says " I'm a bit kinky, how much for total humiliation? " The madame replies " Just ? 32.50 " "WOW" he replies, " what do I get for that " " A CELTIC STRIP " she replies
  7. full time 1-1 Dropped points.
  8. most interesting stat of them all is the points gained. Goals scored. Goal difference. Number of wins. amd place in league. Dont care if we go down to 7 men if we beat Dunfermline, Ayr and Dundee
  9. Theres only one Jocky Scott! You can keep your Alba cup! SFL and you know you are! Super Caley go Ballistic Dundee are ATROCIOUS. BOTTLERS, AND YOU KNOW YOU ARE. Give you millions and you still crap. UTD FOR THE CUP - just to rub that one in As for songs over the tanoy, Queens Champions obviously, but Dundees very own Fairground Attraction Perfect - has the lines " too many people take second best, but i wont accept anything less, its got to be PERFECT.
  10. Scott, very much appreciated everyones involvment in this project. A lot better than the 3 minutes were used to get on Sportscene last year. more action packed, or is it just were creating more chances. Could have won the game by about 7-3 looking at the amount of good chances/excellent keeping. Doyou have some kind of log for the amount of times people are watching these highlights
  11. Think Adam would be very proud of himself if he does win the Sun award, as well as the seasons top scorer. Im sure the boys are aware as surely one of the squad will read the paper. We had best watch out as three Irish boys up front creating and scoring goals, as an Irish SPL club might take notice, especially when they will be getting rid of most of their team now

under 15s away to Dunfermline. 3-3 with Duncan and Jay scoring, one of who scored a double I believe. Under 17s lost 5-4, having been 4-0 up at half time. Goals from Sean Napier and a hatrick from Adam Macleod had caley romping away. Unfortunately subbing MacLeod, Skinner and Laing changed the game and let the pars back in it, and then they took control. Subbing too early me thinks
  13. The way the SPL has gone since we left, think we can match a good number of their wages, so why move. New atmosphere, different players, new style so it can all go wrong. Show some faith boys, sign up so if you do go to much better things we get some money for you, since Tel showed the faith in you

Think Statford will have the advantage over McBain with recent time on the pitch, and Bulvitas first choice for replacing Granty. Tis very important the team doesnt get too disrupted, as we need similar understanding and effort. Will take a big big effort to get past Dunfermline, as they like to pass it around, as Dee seem to have there luck back going by commentaters at Firhill. Partick seemingly pounded Dee but just couldnt score
  15. Im greedy, both but SPL better for club
  16. Need to offer Rooney an extension as a reward now, along with the Shamrock boys and not a one year deal.
  17. Ours was a bigger as we did it first, and arguably Celtic had better players at our time, just crap manager. Only Keane and Brown outstanding players in that team, plus one who thinks hes world class - McGeady!
  18. Bye Bye Bye Neil Lennon, couldnt happen to a nicer cheating diving barsteward
  19. OMG can see county having a caravan above their crest on the shirt in respect of reaching a final
  20. Another legend to be sacked by Celtic?
  21. Funny you should say that, it would be a Hateley/McCoist like partnership that personally I think would score for fun. Fortune and Samaras look like they are in their 60s. Went out for a while and have been increasingly alarmed at Celtics failure, via the radio. Thought surely must be wrong, but its also the same on tv now too. Dont want county to match our defeat of the unwashed, or get to the final, or get to Europe, or have a chance of winning the cup. Come on ye great unwashed
  22. Spot the spelling mistake, sorry but was in Dingwall last week, sight of the 3 boobed 12 fingered guy still putting me off
  23. All gypsies are dreaming of better things, no I dont mean a shower nearer the bedroom than the kitchen, nor do I mean a toilet away from the cooker. Talking about how long their game against the great unwashed from Slum city goes in parity. Will they get to a second half without conceding, or will the implosion happen immediately. Im going for 33 minutes, before they loss 5 other goals to the richest tink of them all
  24. Harry Chibber - What I mean by back stabbing is the like of what he did to Japp Stam. Best CH in Europe at the time, loads of rumours and stories about utd tapping him up before he signed ( illegal practice according to FA, EUFA and FIFA ). Fergie totallty denied any wrong doing by utd, but Japp Stam wrote in his autobiography that it did happen, as Fergie met him in Holland to convince him to sign. He was sold before the ink was dry on the first publication and utd lost the league without him. Stam didnt want to go but Fergie forced him because of the possible investigationj into utds illegal tapping of players. Few years on they dont like it when other clubs are also doing it - Chelsea for example, Real for Ronaldo. Also Fergie hasnt won 18 championships with Utd, although he has won quite a few. Utd have won 18 in their history, currently equalling Liverpool FC as the most in Englandshire, but Liverpool have won 5 European Cups/Champions Leagues to Utds 3. Best Manager in Scotlands history, He is certainly in the top elite. But Jock Stein? All players born around Glasgow and not bought for the equivallent of todays multi millions, Liverpools Scots managers who won LEAGUE after LEAGUE, European Cup AFTER European Cup and so on. None of them had the eqivallent amounts of money of todays terms. Fergie goes on about other teams buying success, but thats what he has done at Utd. However, what he did at Aberdeen I do recognise as being outstandingly brilliant. What I was getting at was he very very rarely acknowledges what other team has beaten them, something that does take a bigger man to do. And to top it all the first game I ever attended was Liverpool v Manchester United, and by now you should have sussed that I follow the Reds of Scouse land
