  1. This all smacks of cheap! Brew has known that we needed 2 new strikers even before Marius went, and although he signed what could be a good player in Barrowman, we are left with this crap with loans for this one and maybe that one, piddly offers for first div players make me wonder if the board do indeed have any desire to stay SPL. We have also got a glaring problem in defence which was so apparent last season yet all we have done is sign a dodgy left back on a free, again this smacks of cheap, and does nothing to address the poor defensive record. As i said the old ' confidence in youth / old players ' is thrown out in an attempt to bolster confidence, which may give the media something to write about but thats about all. I will be in Aberdeen tomorrow cheering the team on, but will more nervous that i would like to be.
  2. Also looks like nowt is going to happen in the defence dept, with only Rory to cover in attack we are indeed pretty short, Brew will no doubt come out with the usual ' confidence in his players ' quote at some point. Well i'm not so confident at the mo'
  3. Aye its a different rule when the moderators chat about non-topic stuff......
  4. See shyte refereeing has hit the olympics, the last sending off there in the Brazil/Belgium match was a farce, the Defender was about a metre away from the Brazilian when he went down... crazy
  5. Was it not Brewster himself that said that ' now that Nicoulae has gone we need to replace him ' so the pressure may also come from within the club, also is Barrowman not the player to fill those boots? If we sign Milne he would be a direct replacement for Bayne, Rooney would be to replace Denzil...
  6. Aye... heard it from a player
  7. Dont know mate, some of that synchronised swimming can pretty nailbiting stuff...
  8. Ahh so venerable one.. the old wise one speaks the truth...
  9. Is there an internet link Mannie?
  10. Steve Milne played and scored for Saints last night, we also have made a defininte bid for him on monday. We have a situation that we could have a pretty good strike force in place for the weekend, If we get Milne, Rooney deal goes through that will give us 3 strikers with Rory to back up, no bad eh? However the situation could go bad if Saints reject our offer, the rooney thing falls through - which it may do firstly beacuse we want a year deal, they want 6 months, they are asking for him to play first teams games unless injured, this would give us Barrowman and Rory with only Wood as backup... scary stuff. And still no word of sorting the defence.
  11. There has been no definite contact from other teams regarding Cowie, its all rumour, Cowie is looking for a contract extension and is rightly trying to get the best deal possible, his agent will have proposed that Don comes out with that kind of statement to put the sh1ts up the management. I think he does like it here and will stay..... with the right contract.
  12. I have to say they got what Smith and his tactics deserved, to go after a nil nil and play a defensive set up is shyte. I also think that the quality of Rangers in general is poor, Broadfoot is crap, Weir is past it and Dailly is shocking in that position, how many times did they give the ball away? Anyway, i wait for the deluge of excuses that will appear in the press....
  13. Scottish referees are employed by the SFA, and we ( clubs) pay the SFA for their matches. Anyway its only the TOP referees in England that get ?1000 our refs would, as our teams be equal to the mid /lower championship, so wonder what referees at that level would get.
  14. Grant Munro is to retain the captaincy of ICT, Brewster said he is ' very happy ' to let Granty continue in his role as club captain. Brew says ' He did very well as captain last season and the fact he has got a seasons experience under his belt was another big plus.' Brew also said it was a straight forward decision to keep granty, ie no one else was considered eh? Fair enough, just wish he was more vocal and practised passing more....
  15. I'm quite surprised they get ?575 per game - plus expenses, what a waste of money for shyte refs. They should be on a bonus scheme, make a howler and get money deducted, do a good job and get extra.
  16. We could bet on how long it would keep him off the ground? odds on it not lasting the weekend?
  17. Wonder what happened to the Steven Milne rumour? is he going to sign? will we get a defender? will Rooney come to us? will Marius get his money? ..... jeez so many questions and so few answers.
  18. Aye ya do... when i was in the woaar Aye Happy birthday Dougie
  19. We have more or less a totally new forward line, that will take a wee while to gell i'm sure. However.... I cant understand how the management have not acted on the defence (as yet) when its a plain as day that last season was a shocker from a defensive point of view. Rossco seems to have gone backwards in the skill dept, with much fist/arm waving as more passes go astray, Hastings is just about passable as left back but is a disaster in the middle, Mcguire....well not much to say really, except *@!!@*@ useless. Granty will be solid and will lead the line well. Brew has to sort this out either by giving the players some wakey wakey juice, or getting new ones.
  20. ' agree that some of the defending required a desperate hoof up the park but there were several occasions when a pass was on but it was just thumped up to no-one in particular. Munro seems incapable of a short pass in the game, with aimless thumps his preferred choice. Tokely was a shocker for both goals and I'll agree he didn't look like he was interested. Hastings had a shocker in my view, what he was doing at the second goal I do not know.' Nothing new then...
  21. Milne was not at the St Johnstone game yesterday.
  22. Have you tried a Rabbit? i hear they are pretty good for frustrated females!
  23. We are unfortunatley, being made to look like amateurs once again, i also agree that this issue aint over yet. And i will be surprised if Mariusgate will ever become transparent for the fans view, he will i'm sure get some compensation from ICT, a lot more than we anticipated, probably due to a complete lack of detail from those in charge.
  24. Wouldnt have Munro & Hastings in the middle, both left footers and left sided players see! not only that Hastings is gash in the middle (despite what he does for Canada) which leaves ( unfortunatley) Mcguire or Proctor, neither of whom fill me with any kind of confidence. I am still praying that the management wake up from their slumbers and realise that we NEED a decent, experienced central defender. Would also not have Rory on from the start, but thats just me...
  25. Well there was a press conference at the stadium at 11 am today.... whether it was about Marius or new players i dont know! Maybe someone will be online soon to update us all.
