Elton was indeed fantastic, i'm not a big fan but he has stood the test of time very well, everybody left with a ' feelgood' factor. Hope this will be the start of big names comimg north.

Well in actual fact i was the first person to put a ball into the net at TCS (Or Caledonain stadium) they had an open day to meet the players etc, remember? well a certain Mr cummings had a ball which i put into the net as tommy was organising putting the goal posts up etc... :blah01:

I heard the interview with this guy Mcgregor on the news this morning, sounds like delusions of grandeur in a big scale, he said that Elgin could be a huge team with a new stadium built they could attract fans from the large cities of Aberdeen and Dundee, not to mention the western isles! he claimed they could get crowds of 20k..... :crazy07: :crazy07: :crazy07: This one is doomed to failure..Elgin is a closed shop.

Personally i cant see this going through, aint too worried as long as the Austrians turn up and look good. Somebody on a bigger wage if they deserve it can be acceptable to the other players, a player on a hugh wage (in comparison) will cause a rift, this was the case with Fetai, who thought he was way above playing for ICT.

The bridge inn just over the railway near the river (and bridge ) is pretty good, we had a meal there before Outsider washout, they have a restaurant bit which is a bit posher than the pub bit where we ate. A bit further away is the Glasshouse restaurant in Grantown...very very nice.

Very true, i would assume that CC and GB will be working behind the scenes on that one, this mysterious frenchman and one of the Austrians were defenders, so according to GB they are still looking to sign an experienced defender and striker.

In essence he has still a lot to prove, his career has stalled somewhat in recent years so he will be out to prove a point to doubters, whoever they may be, and win a premiership move and big money....fair enough.

3-1 and did we look shyte, even our goal was lucky, a sclaff deceived the keeper! Is that keeper poor, the defenders were not much better, just a hump up the park most of the time. Mind you, the jap team were brill and it shows how far we have been left behind, the only time we troubled them was when we got stuck in and went physical.
