  1. Probably Tetleys eh? Anyway, it more likely to be your own refection John! But back to the football thing, the team needs new blood, so i hope the board give him money to boost the squad, and not some second rate 1st div players.

    Hmm

Hope the board give CC some dosh for the January sales, Rory is crap. The only time we look like scoring is when Dargs and Denzil play. Be nice to get a point from the Huns, and 3 vs Midden to start the year in a positive, but too many players with too little quality around just now. I'm beginning to wonder about CC subs...some strange moves in that department.
  3. Its a fact that we are now looking at avoiding relegation instead of looking at a maybe top 6 place, this scenario breeds nervous football, so get used to it from now on in. Was Dargo suspended today or injured? Anyway 3 points against the Huns will go down very well... (cough, cough) :006:
  4. Aye naelifts, but 'they' didnt tell ya that the tickets are for the feckin away end... :015:
  5. You should do a PM to lg Andrew, she would know of any. My Missus's job involves caring for disabled folk and she is always moaning about the lack of taxi's to cater for wheelchair users. :007:
  6. I'm sure i heard that one too Mantis, but was it not a wee bit more like ' did yer ma sh*g a badger '
  7. It was a better time for banter/slagging when we were in the 3rd/2nd/1st divs, we stood at the wall and the banter was very good between us / ref's / players. Willie Young was always good for a crack and came back with one liners when slagged. A couple of good shouts at the ref ( not me) was near the touchline, ref blows for a foul ( against us) holds his arm up to signify the foul, to the shout from the crowd ' hands up if you're a shyte ref ' Same one is shouted ' hands up if you're a poof' In these days of stands and over zealous stewards, we cannot get the same banter with players/officials.
  8. Does killiefan not frequent the Innes quite a lot? was he a previous ICT fan?
  9. I was of the opinion before the game that an improvement in peformance was required, oh how well we played in the first half, pity the defence was still in bed and couldnt match the rest of the team. Now, however we need a result against the Pars, and i dont give a feck how we play as long as 3 points head up the A9.
  10. Cant blame Brown too much.... the defence was woefull, Hastings was shyte for the first goal, Dods let Naismith past him too easy for the second, where was the cover then... Cant comment about the sec/third (pen) but Caff seemed slow to tackle about 35 yds out and let them run through, Caff has no aerial strenghth and i cant see him being the answer if Dods fuc*s off in Jan.
  11. Exactly Gordy, points are a priority at the moment and although the team played well going forward, the defence was terrible, gifted them goals for 3 at least.. One thing we now know what has to be done next week, this game will make our season, lose and its a desperate situation, win and we can look forward. Hope the players realise the importance of next week as they enjoy the Drummossie pysh up.
  12. 'Aye but target-man type centre-forwards invariably don't have great scoring records. Joe Jordan being a prime example, ' What about Hartson / Sutton / Hateley ? ' Hastings had gone to Canada' Really?
  13. I have just bought the latest Courier picture book of pics of old Inverness, there are a few pics of the old baths in Glebe street, what was interesting was that when they opened the baths to the public, water was pumped in from the river ness to fill it!!! think it was in the thirties and two fire brigade pumps were used to pump 1/4 of a million gallons to fill it, no doubt some fish and flotsam entered too!
  14. I rember the frustration of going to school (Crown) and just getting used to Pounds Shillings and Pence, then they go and change it to decimal... now you look back and think what the feck was LSD all about?
  15. Rossco knows that he has no competition for his place, Caff although good is no right back, we need to have a rb to pressurise Ross for his place.
  16. Do I qualify? :014: See you inherited yer old mans good looks then Harry....

    SFL Players

Neither of them excite me much... not exactly going forward, is this all we can afford?
  18. Crownjaggie: 'Defence is playing ok but the whole team seems to be scared of the ball and of making mistakes and are getting rid of the ball as rapidly as possible to whatever coloured jersey.' Have to disagree a wee bit, the defence is shipping goals, last 5 games we have averaged 2 a game, this is not very good as we can only score about 1 a game, this could be down to confidence again, but to me Rossco and Hastings are not playing as good as they should be. Seems to me we lose goals from crosses, which is the full backs job to prevent, and it aint happening.
  19. Feck..rumbled, which girl told ya?
  20. You can try...but after its first blast they yellow jobsworths will be after ya! Sneak it in down the front of your jeans, ive been stopped a few times with them thinking i was sneaking in a canister, they soon got the idea and gave up.
  21. Feckin brill big boy....now get off the podium and get back behind the wheel!! :015:
  22. The only game that we have had the ' Ill feelings' from the stands was the Motherwell game, the home games prior to that were Hearts & Aberdeen which i though we should have won. Whats causing the problem is the lack of goals, this is due to team selection and the players themselves, the fans will get behind the team, but as with the fickle highlanders only when we get 'up and at them'. What we need is every feckin fan to shout and sing on saturday, and not sit like a tailors dummy.
  23. Some fair points Mr Bush, i dont think this forum has a direct effect on the teams performance however, the players know themselves that their performance is not up to standard at present. What we see from the stands is a team with a lack of confidence, that is all, fitness is as normal and skills do not disappear overnight. This is where the manager and coach have to work on the mindset of individuals, that combined with some luck, will in my mind have us turn the corner. So starting on Saturday, we need a performance, not 3 points ( which would ne nice) but to see the team back to playing the way we have seen before.
