Aye you've got this budget thing in yer brain, The board are there to try and raise funds, not just sip tea and gin and tonic in the boardroom every Saturday. Yes they have to balance the books but they must look at ways of increasing revenue, obviously if the team is doing poorly the crowds diminish, not rocket science mate, Local business? major business? shareholders etc think the board need to work harder and stop being so amateur in their approach. ICT board: " Hey Richie,we've put you in for a 30 lap saloon car race at Knockhill, not the best car but its ok" Richie F : "Cheers guys, i'll do my best" ICT board: "Oh, here's a gallon of petrol".

Oh good, did he say anything about scoring a goal?

Hearts -V- Inverness CT
Its the current board that employed Richie Foran, its them that the buck stops with, its them that have to raise money to help the manager get a decent team together. If they are unable to do this the major shareholders have to look at the situation and change things. This is the smallest team squad i can remember, its a disgrace, somebody decided to give the manager a 4 year contract so they have to support him in this dire situation, whether its in the long term plan to expect relegation and then build from there i don't know but there are a lot of questions to be asked by shareholders.

This is just disgrace. The board should take a lot of flak for this, if they chose this manager they should at least provide funds to aid his position. Cant imagine the bus home is going to be fun.

So much for Richies 'get tough in defence' approach- jeez! And only 5 subs, this is a shambles. Can we score? even a draw would be welcome!

Or it may mean journalists have info that we don't. Either way its a worry that we should even be speculating on this issue when the manager looks like having the smallest squad in SPFL history.

This is feckin scary, If we are in a situation where we are struggling to add one more player in for cover, does it mean Richie's budget is used up and our wee biscuit tin is empty?

Think we should have a fit Meekings back in the middle and buy a proper right back.

Really hope Richie has a plan B. This season is quickly turning into a nightmare!

Inverness CT -V- Ross County
Just watched the (awful) highlights of the game, First goal as i said yesterday to Tm4tj, was Warren being dragged way out of position as Raven was out of sight, simple cross in - easy header. 2nd was well taken but Raven could and should have done better. 3rd What the feck was Williams positioning like? jeez talk about making it easy. Bare squad, not much cover for defence, going to need huge effort from the players to get us out of this situation. And last but not least Dallas, what a feckin clown of a ref, inept and scary with his viewing of the game, ignored a huge push in Tansey's back.

Inverness CT -V- Ross County
Hope all you people that clamored for Ravens return will hang your heads in shame - he is a feckin donkey. we need to sign a defender or two as Mcnaughton has shown he is no central defender and is injury prone(god knows how long he will be out). Feck knows why Raven was shouting at Williams after County scored the second, he was at fault for letting Boyce have a clear shot at goal. First half was a shambles caused by our lack of desire and organisation, and going in at half time 2-1 down was very fortunate. Losing a goal just after the restart was a disgrace, Warren had a howler with county happy to sit deep and foul away with the fanny of a ref giving them any 50-50 decisions. We scored with a sublime strike from Drapes and i thought we might raise the game and get an undeserved equaliser, but nah, huffed and puffed, Polworth lost the ball in midfield(again) and scum very nearly made us pay I cant see us getting anything at tynecastle, so its going to be a crucial game vs Perth in 2 weeks time. Hope to feck Foran has got an ace or two up his sleeve.

Friendly?

The only waft of turds in the Stadium area now is when you stumble along the foreshore in yer unwashed underpants looking for plastic bottle to recycle.

Matchday Thread v Partick
Wouldn't mind having player ratings up on the thread from someone who was at the game, sounds like most of the players had off days? Polworth was poor again? he was pretty poor last twice i've seen him, prefer Draper to start. Anyway tough game on tuesday, Alloa are on a roll the noo, we need to get sorted out before next saturday for sure.

Yep, it was very entertaining football today, lot of great performances albeit versus a pretty poor side, but you still have to score. Once again the new signings are looking pretty good, and as Tm4tj says, if Mulraney continues this form in the SPFL he will be a target for some teams down south. On the not so good side Raven continues to be very ordinary and wasted quite a few balls after getting into good areas, he will not get this space in the SPFL. Also Polworth was wasteful fairly often and was guilty of getting caught in possession more than i would have liked against this level of opponents. But to see 7 goals, and some of the passing was superb was very pleasing made it a very good afternoon and i think will make most fans look forward to the season proper.
