I can't be alone in wishing we had done this to St Johnstone at Christmas time......but we looked like the fluid version of Caley again, and without Hayes. Are we allowed to vote in the man of the match poll if we've watched the game at home, or, in my case, at work?

Good point. Another point of a league would be to provide competition, but how much competition, i'm not sure.

I would say keep everyone apart from Eric, even though he smiles a lot. Duff gets a hard time because he's Ginger and, if we got rid of Proctor, then we get rid of the Proc's patter from the match day programs. It's not all about the football. We will need another striker, a two footed winger that tracks back, and a creative midfielder. Maybe a target man as well. Easy Peasy.

Firstly, for what it's worth, I completely agree with your decision to choose The Caley. Secondly, whilst I both admire, and support the lengths you travel to watch The Caley, I don't completely agree with your mode of transport. The trains are a far more enviromemataly friendly way to travel, because after all, it's the future generations of Old Firm and The Caley fans that have to live on the Earth we leave them. In saying that, if you drive a hybrid, all is forgiven. Car pool is good too. Thirdily, I like your pun about head in the sand and childishness, but the Lion King was a jungle based movie, not desert, with a u rating (suitable for all, adults and childrenl), so unlucky. As has now been stated by The Caley official website, the game would have gone ahead if an hour delay were to be permitted. If the fans attending the game were the only concern, why did The Caley and The Selik not just agree to kick off an hour later? It must be because the fans at home, that hadn't travelled, wouldn't have been able to see the whole game, as scheduling is more important to the tv companies than the wasted time o travelling supporters. If we want tv to be the main financier of the league, then they are also the boss, and everyone needs to accept the concequencious. No one wants anybody to waste their time travelling for no reason, but it can't be helped. If the pitch is unplayale, then thats it. I honestly, couldn't care less if we lost money and the Queens Celtic boycotted every game we ever play against them. If they never came North, or from their houses in Culbokie, Fortose, Nairn etc...... again, then I see those in favour of referees free from old firm pressure as the winners.

I see if you read the comments further down, he seems to think that the fact that the fact that the Celtic groundsman has won the best groundsman award three times, backs up his argument. Like most Celtic fans, he's more interested in point scoring than actual facts! And looking at some of his other articles, they all seem to be of the same cringworthy ilk. The dude Frei in goals seems like a bit of a player. It's also strange to see Kenny Cooper popping up at Toronto. He still can't be that old yet but I thought he was going to be a big player when he was younger. Also, Pimple, no one outside North America ever even thinks of Steve Nash when talking about the NBA but he's easily one of the best, and has won MVP on more than one occasion. You mean like its done in England? My understanding is that English refs must declare their allegiance and do not officiate at matches involving their own team. Nor do they officiate within 50 miles of their home town. I didn't realise that was the case. As Capital Caley says though, that would be quite difficult to do in Scotland. Also, if refs can't be trusted to officiate fairly under certain circumstances, they can't be trusted at all.....

I see what your saying but, we would then find ourselves on the slippery sloap that ends with referees not being allowed to officiate in their own region, or in cities that their home city have a rivalry with, or in a game involving a player form their home town. The referees are supposed to be impartial, probably are, and it would be showing an awful lot of contempt towards the integrity of our refs, which would mean Neil Lennon was right, which he wasn't.

And being loyal to the crown is bad because? If you want a debate on that then please take it to a new thread in an appropriate forum. You should move Caley D's post as that's the post that raises loyalty to the crown.
