  1. The current board is here to stay unless an investor with at least a couple of million turns up out of the blue. The board have made mistakes, not least in failing to communicate, but we are stuck with them like it or not. Hopefully, however, they will have learned from recent mistakes and they and the major shareholder will not adopt such a high handed approach to fans and minor shareholders in the future.
  2. It may indeed be too late but not necessarily so. The squad are capable of pulling away from the foot of the table if properly motivated and deployed. Now that the main problem has been remove3d we at least have a chance.
  3. He knows the league and he knows the players and what they are capable of. We could certainly do worse.
  4. He's a good coach but he's got some task on his hands.
  5. Ince and Boothroyd, as well as knowing nothing about scottish football, are well beyond our budget.
  6. In my opinion Craig Brown has been out of active football management for too long to be effective and, as we require, to hit the ground running.
  7. Robbo at least knows the players and what they're capable of. He's worked with a number of them before and the others he watches every second week. That must give him a bit of an advantage over many of the other candidates.
  8. Would that be Charlie Christie or Barry Wilson ?
  9. Well written article.
  10. I'm not so much concerned about where he's based than just how many pies he has a finger in at present.
  11. I'd be happy with Butcher if he could commit himself sufficiently to the club including relocating to Inverness. Otherwise, I feel we should look elsewhere.
  12. I've no problem with Butcher combining his part time position with the national team with managing ICT as that might actually be an asset but does he not have business interests in the central belt as well ? My only concern about Butcher would be how much of his time he would be able to devote to managing the club.
  13. Butcher's odds have come in a bit from 25-1.
  14. Lies! Everyone knows you can't radio reception on that part of the A96 Why do you think I was frequency hopping ?!
  15. I disagree, it was evident for quite a while what the problem was, now some of the players have came out and said it and now we have removed the problem. I don't hink a new boss would have any difficulties in getting all the players to pull together in fact I believe that the players want to do this. I think that's probably right.
  16. He's hardly been prolofic over the last couple of seasons.
  17. I get the impression that although there may have been a rift between management and players the playing staff as a group are still fairly united which bodes well for the immediate future.
  18. Priceless !
  19. Apparently not. Brew wasn't keen to have him involved in coaching.
  20. Now that his name has been mentioned, I quite like the idea of Archie Knox.
  21. Kingsmills, I have heard he is very close to doubling his wage, he was on a fairly low one here Thanks. You're better informed than I am.
  22. Yeah... reading it again you're probably right.... I agree.
  23. I doubt if he'd want to come in any event. He's probably already on the sort of salary that we could offer him and he may well feel, with some justification, that St Johnstone have at least as much prospect of being in the SPL next season as ICT.
  24. Sacking Brewster and Malky was, unfortunately, a necessary evil. I'm sure that the vast majority of the fans will get behind the new manager whoever he may be. That's always been the way with our fans in the past and it was only the extreme circumstances prevailing in recent weeks that changed that temporarliy.
  25. I doubt if Mikey will be doubling his wages in signing for Motherwell.
