  1. It's a move which would probably benifit all three parties.
  2. Has David Sutherland not Admitted gaining entry to Kingsmills in similar fashion ?
  3. If you read my original post you will realise that so would I but that SPL one and two would be an improvement on what we have now.
  4. 20 teams under the SPL structure and benefiting from the TV money would be an expansion.
  5. SPL 1& 2 with ten teams in each would, although not ideal, be an improvement on the present arrangement.
  6. truncheon
  7. Fair enough, one team from the deep south west replaced by another from the same neck of the woods. At least they wont be "living the dream".
  8. What a waste of a tanner !
  9. I'd heard that sales are quite a bit down on the same time last year.
  10. Burnley is not a pleasant place. As far as accomodation is concerned there is a decent Holiday Inn in Preston just off the M6. Ask IHE it's his neck of the woods.
  11. His salary at Hearts was more than twice what we're purported to be paying Marius so it's a non starter.
  12. He didn't exactly set the heather on fire during his spell in Dingwall but at least he offers something different in central defence. Whether he has the ability to cope with SPL forwards remains to be seen.
  13. Great entertainment even if his run is cerain to end tomorrow.
  14. By my reckoning that's still 6 out from those available at the end of last season, 7 if you count Zibi, and only 1 in so far.
  15. Yet another shrewd signing by Yogi Hughes. Falkirk have similar resourses to ourselves but seem to use them far more effectively.
  16. He's struggling at the moment against Richard Gasquet.
  17. According to the BBC, the SPL have agreed a new TV deal with Setanta to begin at the end of their existing arrangement in 2010. From 2010/2011 onwards the TV deal will be worth in excess of ?30,000,000 a season; more than double the existing figure. While that's (very) small beer compared to the English Premiership it still means almost ?2,000,000 a year for even modestly placed clubs from 2010 onwards. Imperative therefor that ICT don't lose their SPL status over the next two seasons or we will lose half our current turnover at a stroke. I just hope that Brewster has what it takes to keep us in the top division otherwise the consequences will be more dire than ever. If common sense, rather than pure greed and self interest, prevailed then 2010/2011 would be a perfect opportunity to expand the SPL to 16 clubs with each club still substantialy better off than they are now. That said, given the track record of the SPL, my money's firmly on pure greed and self interest with common sense trailing in a distant last.
  18. The old ones are definately the oldest !
