  1. Let's make it a bit more hostile. Poor Roscoe, who didn't break his sevice with a lucrative spell at Livingston, only got Sheffield United. Seriously, Barry, despite his stint in West Lothian, has been a great servant to the club and deserves the honour not to mention the cash.
  2. To be fair to the English, our ictory in 1967, satisfying as it was, was hardly on a par with winning the World Cup.
  3. Marius is a seasoned professional with the security of another season on his contract. He's probably just getting on with his job.
  4. I tend to agree with IHE on that one. Take Gretna out of the equation and I suspect we would be battling against relegation at the momment. On the other hand, that would have added some spice to our otherwise meaningless post split fixtures.
  5. Withall due respect to Dmacca, the perception that the countries making up the United Kingdom are "more like regions" is a very good argument for Scottish Independence.
  6. Ross County have, apparently, made some sort of approach to him.
  7. It appears that David Sutherland wants to run the club his way. That's fine by me. He's demonstrated in the past that he can do so more than competently and appeasrs, generally speaking, to have the interests of the club and the supporters at heart. hat's not acceptable, however, is having another well meaning individual with different ideas being the nominal Chairman but having his plans undermined or thwarted at every turn. If Mr Sutherland wants to run th club he should return as Chairman and do so openly in the future.
  8. I don't much like either Rangers or Celtic or what many of their fans stand for but I do make a point of supporting them both, or indeed any other Scottish teams, in Europe.
  9. Talk from the boardroom is to be encouaged talk about the boardrom is another thing entirely. When a team's fans are discussing goings on at executive level rather than on the pitch it's generally an indication that all's not well.
  10. A successful long term relationship has to be based on mutual trust. It sonds that any trust you had will not be completely rekindled so my opinion, for what it's worth, is that any reconciliation you attempt will not have a long term future.
  11. For my sins, I'm still at work so I didn'r see or hear the interview. My comment merely referred to troublegum's quote.
  12. Good luck to Rangers tonight in first leg of their UEFA Cup semi final against Fiorentina. It's not every season that a Scottish club gets within sight of a major European final. They've take some notable scalps along the way which seems to suggest that the standard of our domestic game isn't just all that bad. The only pity is that the few saltires on display at Ibrox will be vastly outnumbered by union flags and the even more odious red hand of Ulster.
  13. That's the most encouraging statement made by a director of ICT in a very long time.
  14. To paraphrase Oscar Wilde, to be involved in one interfactional fued is unfortunate to be involved in two seems to suggest that there is a bit of a problem.
