  1. I largely agree but still think it much better to source stewards locally from now on if at all possible. Leaving aside the pandemic and the risk of bringing people in from an area with a much higher prevalence of the virus, surely it is better to keep the cash paid out for such services in the local community.
  2. No need for a media team. One person taking the time to communicate honestly and frankly at regular intervals will suffice.
  3. As I have said on another thread, there was nothing illegal about busing stewards from Level 4 to Level 1 but that doesn't mean that it wasn't a very poor and ill considered decision which we should not repeat if we can possibly source stewards from closer to home.
  4. I entirely agree. Just who on earth thought it was appropriate to bring in stewards from a level 4 area to a level 1 area ? Probably not technically against the law as travelling for work is permitted but sheer thoughtless recklessness which must not be allowed to happen again.
  5. I believe that there are provisional plans in place to allow up to 800 fans for ourselves and County in the very early new year. However, that would be provisional on remaining in Level 1 and there being no evidence of significant increase in prevalence following on any increased household mixing over the festive season.
  6. How did you find the, rather strange, matchday experience overall ? PS both Bruichladdich and Bunnahabhain are fine Islay malts but, for me, you can't beat Caol Ila when it comes to a Hebridian dram🥃
  7. Promotion would be sweet if it was achieved through an aggregate win at Dingwall in the play off final.
  8. Well done to the team now swollen to three hundred and eleven plus substitutes. A well deserved win which keeps us from losing touch at the top. A base from which we can now push on with more key players returning from injury.
  9. For goodness sake no cheering ! Just clapping like f@@k 😁
  10. I agree firstly that it's vital to get three points tomorrow and secondly that there is no need to panic about the odd cluster of cases. OCG and DD are right, the situation in the Highlands is stable at an encouragingly low level. Sadly, that is not the case here in Aberdeenshire. Two weeks ago I was optimistic that we were on the verge of going down to Level one. Now I fear that, if the trend continues, we might be looking at Level Three. The situation remains fragile and it is incumbent on everyone to follow the rules to keep on top of things.
  11. There is, without doubt, much work still to do but, for the first time in about two decades, the trajectory seems to be a positive one. Personally, I think that the departure of the ineffectual Malky MacKay from his role as Performance Director is very positive for both our international and domestic football.
  12. Disappointing to lose the last two matches by a single goal but we are still miles better than under Levein and Strachan. It is now possible to watch International football without cowering behind the sofa.
  13. I agree. Informing people that they have been unsuccessful on this occasion is every bit as important as telling those who have been.
  14. Congratulations to all successful in getting tickets. No cheering permitted but I hope you all leave with sore hands after clapping the team to victory.
  15. The lack of clarity may be frustrating but this is still a very welcome step in the right direction.
  16. Kingsmills replied to jagster's topic in Caley Thistle
Very many congratulations. May he score the goal that secures our very first Premiership title in our fiftieth anniversary season.
  17. Forget could. Indeed we will and, unlike the national team in a major finals, despite the utterings of Alistair Jack, we won't have to wait over two decades to witness it.
  18. I hope that you do and that you have as great a time as when my late father took me to Hampden for the very first time to watch Scotland beat Checheslovakia on the way to qualifying for the 1974 World Cup.
  19. Precisely what was going through my mind too.
  20. Be honest, after that last minute equaliser, did anyone seriously believe that it was going to be anything other than another, so near so far glorious failure ? Great credit to the manager and the players who all gave their all.
  21. Yes!!!!@@@
  22. Absolutely agree. Although the poor defending and inability to hold onto a lead going into the final stages of a match is a concern. We need to tighten up at the back to have any realistic prospect of promotion this season.
  23. On the subject of a mature age profile, the name Pfizer seems to ring a bell. I can't think why !
  24. Not so much worried about the conclusion of last season's most minor knockout tournament but I agree that it will be good to get a psychological edge over a team shaping up to be serious rivals in the promotion battle.
  25. The success of the Pfizer vaccine trials and promising data from the stage 3 trials of the Oxford vaccine means that, with a fair wind, both of these and possibly more could be widely available by late Spring. Imagine if all you had to do was to show your vaccination certificate to join thousands of other ICT fans in both Inverness and Dingwall to watch us beat County in both legs of the promotion play off final. Now, that is a warm thought to see us through a cold and difficult Winter.
