I think at least part of this is to do with the optics. The Rangers are, often with very good reason, widely disliked and distrusted in Scottish football. Generally speaking, I tend to dislike them and certainly distrust them myself. However, even the worst and most corrupt of organisations can sometimes be in the right and, in this instance at least, the Rangers seem to have a very valid point. Something certainly smells but because, at least partly of who is asking for the enquiry many are resistant to it and we are in part at least, being vilified by association. It is a great pity that this enforced hiatus could not be used as an opportunity to dismantle completely our tainted, incompetent and distrusted administration structure and start afresh based purely on sound administration, good marketing, fresh thinking and sporting integrity. Sadly however, the corrupt, inept and self interested forces in control would never allow that to happen as a result of which our game will eventually emerge in as unfair and mismanaged a state as ever. A missed opportunity.

No surprise. Some may be disappointed, some may even be horrified or at least purport to be. However, we need to draw a line under this NOW and work together as best we can to save our sport.

We issued a long and detailed statement which clearly set out our views and position which I believe was the right thing to do. I am less convinced that we should now be indulging in exchanging 'tit for tat' retaliatory statements that will almost inevitably result in a juvenile descent into farce which will do no good to anyone in the long run when cooperation rather than division will be increasingly important.

Many will disagree with the opinion of the new poster, on the limited information available to me I certainly do but he or she is as entitled to air their views as anyone else as long as they remain adhere to the site rules that apply to all of us. The new poster may or may not have an agenda. That is for each of us to judge for ourselves.

What a sad indictment of all that is wrong with Scottish football that, even in this time of unprecedented danger and crisis, that our clubs are so divided, divisive, paranoid and self interested and our game so negligently administered that we can't, just this once, act and pull together for the common good.

It is striking just how much lack of dignity is displayed in the statement by the Dunfermline chairman which concludes with his stating that he wishes to maintain his dignity.

The situation is currently about as clear as the guidance issued by the UK government yesterday and open to about as many interpretations.

You are right. Someone is not being honest and telling porkies.Is it the First Ministers of Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland all of whom have very different political perspectives,or is it the person responsible for a lie plastered on the side of a bus, who was judicially determined to have lied about the reason for prorogation of Parliament, who misled the queen, who cheated on his wife, who lied to his close political allies the DUP and who has been sacked at least twice from professional positions for dishonesty. I can see your point. It's a tricky one.

Listened to the PM's broadcast. Not once did he state that almost none of what he said applies to Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland.

We are not without an element of self interest in this, league reconstruction would have been hugely to our advantage. However, unlike a cabel of Premiership clubs, including, by all accounts, our neighbours up the road we also have regard for fairness and the wider football community. I am glad that a statement was not immediately fired off in anger, but that we clearly took our time to make a clear, considered and open statement. I am sure that more than one person would have had imput in drafting it. Well done to all concerned.

STAY AT HOME. SAVE LIVES. It could not be clearer, the advice remains the same. Enjoy the latitude of your extra ability to exercise if you are not sheilding and have the mobility to do so. Otherwise keep following the advice of the government to stay at home to save lives. Lockdown measures will be eased as soon as it is judged that that can be done without risking the lives of ourselves and others but not a day before. The people have been magnificent so far in complying with instructions. We just need to be patient for a while yet.

If three dimensional social distancing of 2 metres is enforced then our ground capacity is likely to be no more than about a thousand even if the South Stand was made available to home fans and the wee roofless stand opened. Due to my distance from Inverness and family commitments I have not bought a season ticket for years but would be prepared to pay full price or maybe a bit more for a 'Non Attending' season ticket. Maybe attending season ticket holders would be prepared to pay full price to attend every second game with their seat being rotated with another named individual and we could sell 'None Attending' match day tickets and even hospitality as well. I appreciate that far from everyone could afford to participate in such a plan even for the single season it is likely to be in place, especially given the economic devastation wroght by the virus, and we may lose some of our commercial backers as well but it might be one way to survive the 2020/2021 season in some viable form should social distancing continue to be enforced. We certainly could not manage with league crowds in the high hundreds without a bit of lateral thinking. Those effectively paying for nothing could be rewarded with certificates and vouchers to be redeemed eventually when some semblance of normality returns.

A club from Inverness playing in the national league system was once a remote prospect, reaching the top tier was an even more remote prospect, reaching the League Cup final was even more remote and winning the Scottish Cuo and playing in Europe was once the remotest prospect of all. I will just be happy for our club to survive and vie for promotion next season no matter how remote that prospect might be.

I would be very surprised indeed if 'threats' were issued to our club or any other. You have to bear in mind that this piece of creative literature eminates from The Rangers and must, given their track record in such matters, be viewed with a high degree of healthy scepticism.

Right now, from a football point of view, all that really matters is that the club survives to start and complete the 2020/21 season. If we can be competitive and vie for promotion again that will be a bonus.

John Robertson's managerial record away from the Longman is distinctly mediocre. Even if he was approached by the Perrh Saints, which I think is unlikely, he would be I'll advised to accept.

If that was the club's decision to release Tremarco, then, in my view it was the wrong one for a number of reasons. Firstly, he had at least one and possibly two decent seasons left in him at Championship level. Secondly, at this time of great uncertainty on every level we should be trying to maintain some level of experience and continuity. Thirdly, and no less importantly, he has shown great loyalty to the club and, even in this time of crisis, deserved better in return.

So, here we are in May. In normal times the most exciting part of the football season with league titles, relegation, cup finals and promotion play offs all coming to a head and being decided. All very different this year but here's hoping that by May 2021 humanity gets to grip with this dreadful pandemic and we can, with a fair wind, all cheer ICT back up to the Premiership. Most of all though, that all of us and those close to us, all come through safe and well and are still here to witness it.

I disagree. Even as a 'Jaggie' I am happy that it celebrates the centenary of one of our two founding clubs especially as the Jags were founded in the same year. We are unique in world football in having now almost three hundred year of combined history. Let's continue to mark that fact.

Most other clubs in our division will be in the same boat and it might be refreshing to see some enthusiastic young blood, especially if it means bringing through some young local lads.

In which case, I entirely agree with ending the season rather than finishing it.

Only if it can be said with reasonable certainty that finishing the season will not result in more deaths and we are a very long way from that right now. I would absolutely hate ICT to go to the wall but I would not want the survival of my club to take precedence over the life of a single individual. Football clubs can be reformed from scratch. Human beings cannot.

Off topic but, in view of the most recent advice from the FM, assuming our online shop is still trading, an ICT 25th anniversary scarf would make an excellent face covering and would generate at least a wee bit of income for the club.

Looks like the Rangers are going to be granted the further EGM they desire. No surprise that this club, much younger than hours, who were fortunate indeed to be permitted into the league system in the first place are now attempting to disrupt things in their own self interest.

We have been making do for the whole of our existence and have, in the past, worked wonders on a shoestring. With young McKay back from loan and not so young Shane back in full time football with something to prove, I think we might do okay. Assuming there is no league reconstruction Hearts will be the team with massively greater resources to beat in the division but, as we know, the first season after relegation can be a difficult one and I see no reason, as long as we can somehow sustain full time football, why we can't compete.
