I doubt a side that has scored 18 goals in their last 5 games will be a bit nervous about their next game.
Probably should have been

More of the same both on and off the park seems to be the plan. Can’t help think it’s money driven with Dodds knowing he is only retained cause the board haven’t the money to attract serious talent, cause they have no money to attract title challenging players and it’s loan spells with dodgy injury or past it players brought it!
Don’t see a new horizon, just retread of a tired strategy with unattractive stagnant football!!
Must admit I was hoping for a new direction, but not to be it appears!!
I’ll certainly take more of the same, 45 minutes away from the Premier League against St Johnstone and this season 3 points off second place with a cup final at Hampden. We got a bit unlucky this season and there’s certainly room for improvement but we aren’t as bad as we’re made out.
I don’t really get why some of our fans have the old firm mentality where we should be outright winning this league.

Dodds saying on BBC that they are close to a deal on his extension and he’s talking about recruiting for next year.
Glad to hear it

Sadly no strip like they did for 2015 cup final
Yeah I was hoping for a reboot of the away shirt but I’ve at least got something.

The level of Old Firm acceptance on here is truly sad to see. Hopefully over time this fades out from our support. The main thing is that I hope we aren't shy in verbally and physically harrassing any green and white specimens who choose to sit in our end at the final.
Don't fret, I certainly shan't be making a habit of it. This place almost has less finger-on-the-pulse energy than a Charles Bannerman Courier column.

Funny thing is it’s the same posters with new names and different fishing equipment.

So many moans and complaints. If we had been given only 3-5k tickets (which TBF based on our attendances in the league and cup games is all we should deserve) then everyone would be crying about unfair representation, now its 'how do we stop the big bad Celtic fans sitting next to us'
I don’t care about the big bad Celtic sitting beside me. I care about the big bad Celtic stealing my seat. I bought hospitality today as a precaution, but I do worry ICT fans may miss out due to the way they are being sold.
If there’s even one Caley fan that tries to get a ticket on Tuesday that can’t it’ll be ridiculous.

Could the club not have a couple of days, after the season ticket holder priority sales phase, where they sell to people who are on the club’s database ie they’ve bought ICT tickets before?
It does state you need to be a pre registered user to buy on Tuesday. But does that mean register before Tuesday or by actually previously buying tickets?
-
Anyone who’s not a season ticket holder a little concerned the tickets will get snapped up by Celtic fans before you get a chance yourself? It’s something I’ve been thinking about today. I’m not sure I have any faith in the precautions the club have put in place to stop this from happening.

Only £140 to take the family down and have decent seats. That's near half the cost of a season ticket. Some difficult decisions to be made.
Go for the cup final and a half season ticket and your jamming

So, with the competitive fixtures we had in mind for the rest of May no longer happening, what does the team do for the next 4 weeks? Teams have no interest in playing friendlies at this time of year. They are either finished up and on holiday, or playing their final league or playoff fixtures.
Falkirk had the same problem in 2015. The only way they could get opposition was to travel down south and play Swansea’s youth team, and I recall they won by some ridiculous score. Not the best preparation. Even more unsuitable when you consider that we are up against a team full of international quality. How do we prepare for that?
I think the same thing happened even more recent than that to Rangers. No one interested in friendlies.

You're clutching at straws now
I do find it a bit mad all of this though. Considering sacking him before the final which in itself is a great achievement. On top of that he has lost one game in about 10 games? I haven’t studied the stats tonight but it can’t be far off that.
The only worry I have is if he does leave after the final we have no time to get someone new in settled and ready to set up some transfers.
If Dodds is leaving he should be telling us now and we should be getting someone lined up to take over. Same goes for if we aren’t renewing his contract, tell him and get someone in ready to go.

Robbo 2017/18 and 2018/19.... following 2 seasons were cut short, so can't be included.
Dodds also got more points last season, so technically he has us going backwards
6th place looks rubbish but I’m taking that with a pinch of salt when I look at how close he was to second.
I worry for next season with most of our best players out of contract though. I’m not really confident anyone is going to come in and win over our support who expect us to be winning this league.
A big overhaul is needed and it’s going to be one big gamble to see if it pays off.

Looking at the squad signed for next season if we don’t get Doran to agree another year I worry we’ll be starting off very weak in that department.

What's best for the club, though? Getting in a new manager now and giving him extra time to get a squad together for next season (we have 15 players out of contract/loan), or starting the process less than 6 weeks before the first games are due next season and the majority of players having found themselves new clubs?
What’s Dodds record against premier league sides for us anyway ?

Failed just the same as Dodds in the end but at least we didn’t have to fork out on the manager compensation
