  1. Isn’t Aberdeen in lockdown? Why the hell would they even chance playing a football game in those conditions. I’m not sure but I would presume travel between those two places wouldn’t be allowed at the moment. Those sporting bubbles are a load of nonsense as well, does that include wives parents and kids as well?

The St Johnstone v Aberdeen game has been postponed.

Inevitable in the circumstances. The players who were out drinking and clearly lax in following the rules need to learn the lesson of their mistakes and set a better example in future.

This virus will be with us for the foreseeable future and, if we are going to get back to any time normality, we all need to take individual responsibility for our actions but institutions like football clubs need to set an example.

If the rules say you are allowed to do these things they are not in the wrong. The issue is with the Government allowing places like that to open.

Same money, split more ways for placings and  for tv coverage.

But I always thought the money trickled down through the divisions not just the top flight. So who ever was 14th in the premiership would then get the equivalent of 2nd in the Championship.

Well, apart from receiving less money from league placing and tv deal, that's pretty close to it.

I don’t understand how they’d lose money, that has always confused me.

Yup, there is a proposal for a tier 6 but regionalised I believe into two leagues (east and west). In discussions just now. It would include the north juniors and NCL. I presume the north-east junior sides with strong financial backing would be the immediate beneficiaries. However it gives ambitious clubs a good gateway. I do worry about a load of gretna cases though, a rich businessman/woman wants some publicity and a plaything for a few years.

If it happens it’s well over due. Down in the central belt it’s finally all coming together and I felt like the highlands were being left behind. They really need to get that automatic drop place in place so promising teams below can over take Fort William and co.

Think it's been proposed many a time, but I think the only issue with it is, Golspie Sutherland is the only one able to compete in the Scottish Cup out of all the NCFA as they're the only full member of the SFA, and resulting in an odd number of teams when put into the cup. But however many times it gets put forward, nobody makes any movements with it.

Yeah I thought so it’s just because Douglas said Loch Ness or Inverness Athletic could move up the leagues.

With the pyramid system now in place within the Scottish game it gives the likes of Clach, Loch Ness and Inverness Athletic the chance to progress up the leagues.

In my remaining years I wouldnt be surprised in the leafy if I see another Inverness team challenging in a senior set up.

Is there a relegation from the Highland league now?

The 7-3 against Ayr and 4-0 against Airdrie are two of the most memorable matches I've ever been to.Thank you so much for putting these up.

The Ayr game was just absolutely mental. David Bagan scored two worldies in the second half. I think Dennis Wyness had only started scoring regularly a month or so beforehand, but he was on fire. That turn and shot for goal number six is, frankly, a bit sexy. It's not in the highlights but I swear Davide Xausa missed a sitter for an eighth goal. It was also so cold that my hands were blue despite thick gloves. Totally worth it though.

As for the Airdrie match, their team of Spaniards really weren't up for the Highland winter. Javier Sanchez Broto (who 2 and a half years late would keep goal for Celtic when we beat them in the cup) spent the whole game being taunted by our fans for looking like a porn star and then gave away a penalty by trying to amputate Mike Teasdale's leg at the knee. Charlie Christie's dinked finish was the pick of the bunch.

Ah, the good old days (I'm only 36!!!)

Absolutely loved that era. Great memories

The one blootered over was Davie Brennan. Caley got him from Shotts Bon Accord. The other one looked like Paul McKenzie and so did the one in normal time. Either him or John Scott. That earlier one looked tailor made for 10cc to take mind you, as he won it.

The goal we did get is a reminder of what a classy player Danny MacDonald was. His career was tragically ruined by injuries.

That one over the bar was horrendous. It looks like he’s just rushed at it. Shame as that was a great performance. Miss the old days of competing well against the bigger sides.

    Rare footage.

    Match highlights from 1994-95.

Caledonian Thistle v Dundee available on YouTube from 11:30 this morning.

Just time to squeeze it in before ICT v Hearts on the official ICT channel at 12.

Thanks that was a good watch. Who’s the roaster who hit that last one for us?

That far under their skin they're talking bollocks, claiming we tried to get the season null and voided...despite saying all along we didnt have an issue with the titles being awarded, but didn't want clubs to be relegated...

It’s actually starting to make us look embarrassing.

  12. I’m sure it was their vote that denied restructuring. If they voted yes we would then have a 12-12-18 set up. This was the one with the bottom 4 splitting off with the championship top 4. After two sets of matches home and away.

Roy, this is what you said in 2012.

“The majority of fans throughout the country are telling us the SPL structure as it stands isn’t working.

“The customer is telling us the product isn’t right and interest has started to wane. We need to grow up and do something about that before giving anyone the opportunity to say the game is dying.

“We’re doing fine and we’re getting to know the league but I’m more interested in reconstruction.

“I have no view as yet on what is the perfect solution, whether it’s to expand the league to 14 or even 16, but we have to take a longer-term view of the SPL.”

Don't betray "the majority of fans throughout the country" Roy.  Man up and let's have some Highland solidarity here!

Didn’t Ross County vote against league reconstruction in 2012?

Heard that the SPFL is refusing to give out the money...Why? Because they didn't get their loan back...from Gretna...12 YEARS AGO.

Although it wasn’t a loan that was given to them, it was an advance of their prize money for finishing last. The whole thing is a shambles.
