Not a fan of this at all. Just serves as a self preservation for the clubs that have been stagnating for years. Time to get all the dead wood out of league two. With the West of Scotland league going ahead next season as well lower league football is going to get very interesting over the next few years.

Been having a look at your channel. Terrific stuff. And lots more to come. What an amazing history the club has packed in, especially in the Cup. Just been reliving the Partick game from 2002 from my own stuff, what a game and great coverage of the team travelling down from a snowbound Inverness. That team would walk the Championship nowadays. Also the Clyde game in 2004.

Two of my favourite games, would enjoy looking back at them!

There’s a lot of money in a few clubs but given the current composition of League 2, Brechin, Elgin and Cove are the only teams north of the Tay and Cove are being promoted, so chances are the bottom two are likely to end in the Lowland League in the early years at least.

That said, I support the principal of freshening the league.

Misread your post the first time. If there was to be an automatic promotion place then I think they would then need to promote one extra every year from a feeder division below if a highland side wasn’t being relegated.

The plan is to have it like the structure is now, based on latitude to the middle of the Tay Bridge, and assuming both relegated teams are north/south of the bridge, the northernmost/southernmost will go into the respective league.

Sod knows what happens if they're at a similar latitude, I think there was a similar issue in the National League North/South last season, where both teams were from the South, so one had to bite the bullet and play in the National League North.

In the past they have just rejigged the Lowland league to accommodate a new team coming in.

There is currently no plan for Livi to be on board with.  What they are on board with is their own proposal.

I don't like their proposal as it seems to do away with the play offs apart from potentially between the Championship and the Premiership.  The play-offs keep the season meaningful to the end of the season for several clubs.  I'm not sure why they would want to move away from that.

It make it fair again. The club finishing 4th has no right to be promoted. Second place  far deserves it due to their hard work over an entire season.

That was a few years ago. It would leave us in the Championship next season so no real benefit to us.

2012, it would leave us in the championship but after 22 games the top 4 then joins with the bottom 4 for another 14 games, top 4 promoted bottom 4 relegated. I quite liked the idea.

Won't bother thanks. We were never in the game : all we were doing was trying to stop Hearts scoring. Worst ever performance in a 'big match' by miles (and I've been at them all).

I disagree with that, we were 0-0 at half time and had a few chances to equalise that was just unlucky. We ran out of steam and didn’t deserve to lose 3-0.  We were worse against Hibs last season in the Scottish Cup Quarters.

All teams had only one game to play, and Bruges were 15 points ahead.

So no, that's not likely to set a precedent for anywhere else!

Not true, one Game until the Split. Where after the Split the total pts is then halved. So the gap would therefore be 8 pts with 11 games to play....

    I agree entirely.

What are the rules for Colts teams?  Can they field a limited number of over 21s? As their league game is off today, could that mean we face a tougher team tomorrow?

No inspection planned according to the club’s Twitter feed.

Doran and Toshney trained yesterday so may be available. I didn’t know Toshney had been injured.

Potentially two over 21s? Not quite sure on the rules.

Just to clarify my position here...

I'm actually a huge advocate for Friday Night Football and would switch all Scottish football to a Friday night (why is a discussion for elsewhere)....it's just that this particular date is not appealing for me.

People just like to moan at change though don’t they.
