  1. Come on County! Not only do i want them to do well because they are a first division side, and because they are from the highlands. The distraction of Hampden may even help the league form dip.
  2. Living in Paisley its frustrating when people say "so who do you support?" and i say "Inverness Caley Thistle" and their reply to that is "Aye but Rangers or Celtic?" I've lived here for a couple years now and i've yet to meet a St. Mirren fan. Why don't people support their local teams anymore? My dad raised me liking Rangers, and when i was 6 i watched Rangers for the first time and enjoyed it. However my dad was also an Inverness Caley fan and took me along to see ICT against County one game and this is when i started supporting them. In my teens i realised there wasn't enough room to like Rangers and ICT and as we had just been promoted to the First Division i dropped Rangers. I now hate both sides of the OF with a passion and can't imaging how i used to even feel something for a club like Rangers when i was a boy. These days i still want the OF to do well in Europe but absolutely love it when they are beaten by anyone else.
  3. I remember Darren Jarvie but have never seen him play, i just knew who he was.
  4. At this moment....I BELIEVE What a turnaround this season has been.
  5. I see this thread got off to a good start... I would like to see Rooney getting a new contract but at the moment we have to get the rest of the team signed up for a couple years with the exception of a few (McBain, Eagle, Djebi-Zadi) and Golly on a 1 year deal. I'm scared of losing everyone in the summer and being back to square one. If we don't go up this season then i think we won't improve next season unless those players are kept here.
  6. I've not been to any Home games this season so i can't comment but how is the general standard compared to other first division clubs? Surely the quality of pies etc can't be any worse off. How much is it for a pie and juice? However i do always remember waiting ages for pies whenever i've been in the past but i thought this may just be down to the fact at away days there is alot less customers.
  7. Looking back on all those "team for" threads last season i've just realised what a terrible squad we had. This seasons squad is far better than last years, Terry Butcher has done a better job in the transfer market than i first thought.
  8. Why has this been moved to Non ICT? Surely Division 1 TV coverage has something to do with ICT? I only say this because not everyone checks the NON-ICT threads and there are other threads currently on the first page of ICT RELATED which come under the same category, SPL Expansion and Open all Mics for example
  9. Yeah if Foran and Golly are out then that has to be the team. I've completely lost faith in Djebi Zadi and Shinnie hasn't has enough experience to start at left back in a must win away game. I would be happy with that line up. Note that this is a home game. So it is :) , Those two postponed games have put me off.....
  10. Yeah if Foran and Golly are out then that has to be the team. I've completely lost faith in Djebi Zadi and Shinnie hasn't has enough experience to start at left back in a must win away game.
  11. A while back i remember a few people talking about BBC Alba showing highlights from the First Division. Am i right or did i just dream this? Anyway just wanting to know if anyone has heard anything else about this recently on whether its going to happen or not.
  12. I wouldn't have a problem with McBain out on the left. The only thing that does concern me however is his age and speed. Its hard though as i haven't seen McBain play at all this season.
  13. Imagine me forgetting McBain, he's also a good shout. Dani has to be first choice though i reckon.
  14. I would play Odhiambo, Sanchez and Hayes in midfield. After Imrie left we don't really have anyone to replace our wingers so if it's going to be Nick Ross he needs to start gaining some experience in the next few games by maybe coming off the bench, a start is a bit too soon for him though i think.
  15. I knew we'd need Imrie at one point in the season
  16. If you look at the league table, any of the top 6 teams have a potential chance of winning it as there is only 11 points difference between top and sixth place and the top three have all thrown points away on several occasions Its down to Dundee, Inverness, County and Queens now. The rest of the pack are out of it. Partick i think are 10 points behind Dundee and still have two games in hand meaning they could make that 16 points infront of 5th place.
  17. At the moment i think its this season, being at the top along with County with 2 games still to play against them is brilliant. But it will take something special to beat those last two games against Clyde and St.Johnstone for the title.
  18. What season was more exciting.... the build up to winning the first division last time or this season.
  19. Right whos going to start the "If Dundee draw twice as many as us" Thread
  20. It's true though, I've learnt loads of stuff of it, and got ICT promoted and into the Scottish Cup final in my first season - mainly through my unique blend of football tactics! I completely agree, I've went teams like East Stirling before trying to make the step up the leagues and you can quickly become familiar with the players in the league and what they look like from their photos.
  21. We're still very much in this as long as we keep it at 6 points and wait for Dundee to slip up. If the unthinkable happens on saturday and Morton take a point off us or we lose then it's all over. We need to win on saturday and pull it back to 3 points. Then its like a penalty shoot out until the last game of the season...we need to keep hitting our targets and hope Dundee miss one extra.
  22. Caleykid this is no reason to stop supporting a team that you previously loved. Its the people who run the club you have the problem with, not the club. Pay at the gate until the end of the season, You've been enjoying football for free for the past few months so count yourself lucky.
  23. It's brilliant that you can become educated in Scottish football through Football Manager
  24. I disagree and think the pressure is on ICT is well. ICT banked on being back in the SPL next season, I still think its been a successful season regardless but thats what they expected at the start of the season. As the Dundee guy said on another thread everyone has must win games coming up and its not just Dundee, It will be really interesting to see how the next few games go. I think we still have a chance of winning the league but i also think we could blow it and end up in 4th place at the end of the year, its that close and is far too hard to call. I LOVE BEING BACK IN THE FIRST! I don't think i ever felt like this when we were in the SPL, its great to have games to play for that mean something this late in the season.
