  1. I completely agree with you but looking at those stats really does put you at ease a bit better.
  2. Probably pointless but may put some people in a calmer mood leading upto todays game, i am certainly a bit nervous about todays game. We have now beaten Raith 9 games in a row leading back to 2002. We are unbeaten against them in the last 15 matches leading back to 2000. In those last 15 matches against Raith they have only managed 7 goals. In those last 15 matches against Raith we have scored 36 goals. Raith haven't scored against us in the last 5 matches. Now for the stats that matter. We are top of the league and they're no. Raith are playing Rangers next week and don't give a monkeys about our game.
  3. I also now believe, and thats what scares me! At the start of the season i was going to be happy with top 3 and a cup run, which is what we got (and still will get). The challenge cup final was a great day out if not for the result, and the two Motherwell games were excellent as well as the atmosphere at Killie. But now we're top of the league by 4 points and i now can't help but expect us to be promoted. In a way i hate being top. It's not as fun as chasing the pack and it really is a lot more stressful. If we were second right now i'd expect to easily beat Raith...now i just hope we don't f**k it up and any win will do.
  4. Add Rooney, Tokely, Esson, Duncan to that and we've got an SPL team.
  5. It would have been 6 cleansheets if we didn't concede a penalty against Queens.

Of the ones set to expire, the ONLY ones i think that are up to SPL football are Foran, Hayes, Esson and Coz. We would survive without the others. And before anyone points it out...yes i know i have omitted Tokely. I think he would struggle this time round at SPL level Yet another season goes by where people think superman isn't upto the job. I remember his first season in the SPL when he had his doubters and ended up being our best player by a mile. Tokely deserves another shot at the SPL and he'll prove everyone wrong yet again IMO. Where "IMO" being the operative words!! But surely after everyone wrote him off season after season from the 3rd division right up to the SPL you would know better than to assume he wouldn't be good enough again next year.

Why did we give Golabek a two year deal? I know he's done relatively well this season but at his age surely that was a bit of a gamble.

I'm not sure, i think even Granty's contract was up. I was thinking it was someone like Lionel.
  10. 4 points now... I have confidence to bump this to the top again

I'm not 100% sure but Nick Ross and Graeme Shinnie signed new contracts recently, as did Terry and Mo. I think we have 3 other players signed up for next year, Rooney and Duncan possibly but can't remember who the 3rd is.

:D Delete this thread! I almost died! I can't believe i STILL get caught out with Aprill fools :D haha.
  13. I'd prefere to be 3 points infront of Dundee with the last game to go, meaning the league isn't officially ours yet but Dundee would have to put about 10 past us to win the title. Then we get our pitch invasion and no nerves throughout the game!
  14. Surely this thread should be changed to - "Dundee has the jitters"
  15. Yup i agree, just hope Odi is more effective tonight.
  16. The last two games i've been to (Killie and Partick) has been the best atmosphere in a long time and the killie match was probably the best. The drums however were good for chanting Caley(clap clap clap)
  17. I've collected a number of ICT shirts over the years from 3rd division upto SPL and back down and i like wearing the old ones just as much as the new ones.

I'm sure Livi destroyed us something like 4-1 or 4-2 with Xausa and Wilson both scoring 2.
  19. Mark Brown was one of the young players Terry let go
  20. Exactly, we haven't always been playing this long ball malarky. We need to change BACK to keeping it on the deck. I think it's only started to creep into the team over the past few games going by what people have been saying (haven't seen us play since Killie). We need to get back to playing the way we were.
  21. Yup i'll be there! Walking this one from paisley
  22. I'll be there, my first game since Killie and i can't wait!
  23. Why does no one consider County as a contender? We've still not beaten them in the league this year and when we beat them in the cup i thought they were the better team for most of the match. Look how different ICT were when Butcher came in, I think a new manager has a lot of influence and will get the dressing room back up and running. I still expect Dundee to lose points but just not as many as they would have with Jocky in charge. Luckily its now back in our hands.
  24. Its looking great but i wanted a win today to prove we can win this league. A draw was still an excellent result however and the only other game i'm scared of is Partick away. I'm confident we can win the rest now.
  25. Eh? Sorry if i didn't quite explain it properly, I just meant that from our remaining 11 matches, last time around (against all those other clubs earlier in the season at the same grounds) we managed 0 points and we are already 4 points higher than we were last time. As we were beaten by Queens and County both but this time we managed results. Dundee on the other hand are even worse off than last time. Right, I think I get it. But it's pretty irrevelant comparing results now with the same round of games some time ago. Current form is far more important, and on current form Dundee will be lucky to finish 4th, while ICT, County and Dunfermline will be contesting the title. I would have agreed with you if Jocky wasn't sacked but i can't help feel that this could really hurt us now.
