  1. Totally agree and I for one would love to see him back at Caley sometime as every player in his teams always played their hearts out for him and never gave up.
  2. :) :) :D LO hypothetically L :D :D :D
  3. :) I presume that was me you are referring to as the hypothetical dimwit above - thanks, but for your information I have never said I wanted lionel to fail at anything - I think he does have some nice touches occasionally, but he just can't pass the ball - a bit like Tokely actually.
  4. I feel sorry for Lionel. Everybody notices his every mistake. It's unfortunate, he is so noticeable and so instantly recogniseable on the pitch because he's so emm, err... tall. :) LOL at the reference to him being tall :) - he does have some nice classy touches occasionally, but his rate of passes completed to one of his own team must be dire. I would say any time I have seen him that at least 75% of the balls he passes go to the opposition or out of the park.
  5. Thank goodness it wasn't just me that thought this. I suppose the people who pick MOTM pay their money and pick who they think deserves it, but I would have put Eric no higher than about 7th or 8th on the list of best players last saturday.
  6. I think he mucked up by letting Imrie go for tuppence ha'penny as well - seems like he wasn't good enough to play for us regularly in division 1, yet he seems to have started virtually every game Hamilton have played in the SPL since he went there.
  7. I was wondering if either team was ever going to score on Saturday and lord knows who picked eric as MOTM - must have been a relative as I thought he was completely anonymous and would have changed him for Sanchez or eagle at half time. We really need to up our game considerably next Saturday against Ross County or sadly we can kiss goodbye to promotion for this season.
  8. If you look at the league table, any of the top 6 teams have a potential chance of winning it as there is only 11 points difference between top and sixth place and the top three have all thrown points away on several occasions
  9. To quote any teenager - "but it's not my fault"
  10. While I agree that the club could have handled this in a more professional manner, I presume that Caleykid1994 is one of these youngsters who have grown up in the "blame anyone else" culture that is so prevalent these days as he seems to have completely missed the point made by someone else that he should have noticed that he has not been paying anything for his football for the last 5 months and doesn't seem to accept that any of this could just be partly his own fault :D
  11. I am sure they said on Saturday that Sportsound will be on 810 on AM tonight.
  12. While it may help with regard to missing the action, putting TVs in the catering area is not doing anything to address the dreadfully slow service or the extortionate prices being charged.
  13. I presume the club changed the caterers to make more money from them but from the responses on here, this will backfire as a lot of people I know (including me) will just not bother going to the catering stand now as it is grossly overpriced and takes way too long to get served. Last game I went down 5 minutes before the half time whistle and still took about 15 minutes to get served an expensive cup of lukewarm coffee :D
  14. its a better game to watch compared to that crap ive had to endure in this celtic daft household each season :( I dunno - I certainly didn't enjoy watching us get well and truly humped by Ross County in the first home derby game of this season
  15. Don't want to sound negative, but unless there is a huge improvement in how we play, there is no chance of us going back up this season.
  16. Issue - the prices are too high for the quality of goods supplied. Issue - the service is far slower than it used to be and there is no room for people to queue in the main stand. Issue - why could I not get a hot coffee 10 minutes into the second half on a freezing cold February afternoon.
  17. I totally agree it is a nightmare trying to get to the toilet as well as you have to force a path through the huge queues at the pie stall. Last season there was a stall selling hot dogs just at the end of the main stand - why can't the burger van be sited there? Other option would be to get rid of the new caterers and bring back the old ones as there was nowhere near such big queues in the last three seasons.
  18. Do you think the board could persuade John Robertson to come along to training some day and show the team how to have a shot on target from more than 6 yards out? Don't know how many times this season I have seen our players pass the ball square across the penalty box when it would seem much more logical to have a shot at goal.
  19. Have to agree with previous comments - took my daughter and a nephew to the Ayr game and bought a bovril, two cokes and two kit kats at the North end of the main Stand and got a few coppers change from a tenner after waiting ages to get served - and that was around 2.35. Went for a coffee about 10 minutes into the second half (no point going during half time because of the queues) and although the staff were still there, they told me that the hot water was off so there were no hot drinks. FFS it was baltic, does nobody there realise that people may just want something hot to warm them up? Thank goodness for the burger van - at least they were still serving hot coffee. What happened to the old caterers - I don't remember the queues being anywhere near so bad the last three years.
  20. I thought we played quite well, but why oh why are the forwards so scared to have a shot at the goal? In virtually every game I have been at this season the forwards have had the ball around the edge of the penalty box and passed it back and forwards across the box like a hot potato when it would be worth having a crack at goal :wave01:
  21. Just watched the BBC interview - what a decent guy and I just wish we could get him back at Caley stadium in some position
  22. Defensive drivel? Were you thinking about the cup tie at home to Motherwell with that comment? Nope, couldn't go to that one as I work away during the week - last game I was at was ages ago, well before Christmas and we beat a 10 man Raith Rovers 1 - 0 but really struggled to find the net.
  23. I am just about finished the book and it is compelling reading - what a waste of talent - imagine how good a manager he could have been if he stayed away from pubs and the bookies? I would love to see him back at Caley as manager if/when Butcher and Malpas move on and then we would see much more attacking football instead of the defensive drivel I have watched at the last couple of home games I attended.
  24. As usual about 2 or 3 boys were giving Imrie abuse and the whole of Section G gets the blame!! One boy in particular gave him abuse as he walked down for a pie as he warmed up. It was him who he eyeballed when he scored and quite rightly. I reckon he can be as arrogant as he likes if he keeps scoring goals like that. In my opinion, he is one of our better players and always gets stuck in aboot the opposition which is what we need.
  25. Lesson 2 - this is the goals and the idea is to put the ball between the posts - not pass it around to your team mates in front of the goals. FFS are the forwards all frightened to have a shot at goal - don't know how many times in recent games we have had guys in good positions for a shot and they have passed the ball sideways. Foran gave it the big talk about how he would score 20 goals this season, but at the rate we are scoring, we will be lucky to get 20 goals from the whole team.
