Ally McCoist Offers His Resignation
Nothing to do with having a leaning towards Rangers, Sneckboy...but I have always had a lot of time for Ally McCoist as a Scotland player, and have always thought he was a decent enough bloke...though I have no opinion on whether he was a good, bad or indifferent team manager. While I think wages in the top of the top divisions, world-wide, for players and management, are beyond ridiculous, Ally McCoist can hardly be blamed for a Rangers Board which appears to use Danny Alexander's calculator to work out club income and expenditure, and fail abysmally to balance both sides of the equation. I am horrified, but not at all surprised, that the Ranger's Board, from what I have read, saw fit to talk publicly about his wage for his notice year only, without mentioning his no-wage and short pay wage periods...it obviously suited them to make Ally look worse than he was.so they could pretend to be less bad than they are. Given the continuing spending levels at the club, the administration experience has, so far, not taught the Rangers board, and many of the fans, that you can't buy success forever. Too many Rangers supporters are more interested in maintaining their "biggest, best and most important club in Scotland because we are the most heavily indebted" tag, and feel they are entitled to always win games without giving any credit to the ability and application of the "diddy" teams.....and can't quite get the heads round the fact that the "diddy" teams haven't quite bought into their "we just have to turn up on the pitch to win, because we are Rangers" mantra. At some stage the Rangers will have to learn to cut their clothes according to their cloth.or they will be facing administration #2...and maybe then the SFA will actually do their job properly without doing a Westminster-style exercise of producing laws/rules/loopholes off the top of their heads on the spur of the immediate situation. Rules/Laws produced after the event tend to be knee-jerk, not properly considered and open to future abuse. The fact that Westminster, and time to time the Scottish Government does stupid doesn't make stupid the only way to go. (and I don't do Christmas Sherry.but will admit to a bottle of Fleurie!)

Ally McCoist Offers His Resignation
Not that I'm by any means a Rangers fan, and am happy to be contradicted,,,,,,,,but didn't Ally work, when the club was in administration for nothing, and then took a pay cut from his contracted wage for some time to help the finances? He will, in that case have spent a relatively small proportion of his time as manager receiving the wage to which he was contractually entitled. Seems to me that over the piece, if that was the case, Rangers did quite well out of him. Hardly his fault that the players, who were being paid, didn't do their jobs against "lesser" teams.

Welfare football is welfare football. I would have thought any ban would only be applicable if he was to want to play in welfare football in the next two years. Usually it is the team who plays an ineligible player who get penalised, anyway...if he was ineligible at the time of playing in the first place. But happy to be corrected if I have it wrong.. It is really hard to work out in which Scottish Football pies the SFA have their fingers, and how they all connect together and how each league affects the one above or below them anyway. I'd have thought that until a contract with a Highland League team had been accepted by the SFA, the player could play anywhere as a trialist....but maybe not.

Aaron Doran - 3 Year Deal
Isn't that a shade racist? What is wrong with the bowels of the Scottish/Irish/Welsh League system.... or do you have no faith in the ability of Scottish/Irish/Welsh youth coaches to come across decent players that their own managements think are crap.....or are you just running with the fact that it looks rather as if Marsella only looks for players in English leagues so English players are the only option?

St Mirren say "No"
How? More money is would be redistributed from the SPL to the SFL so ICT would see a reduction in money through this avenue. 12-12-18 results in 36 games for the top 24 teams so that equals 1 less home game per season than now so again less money for the club. Sponsors are not gone to be queueing up to invest money in this product any more than they would now as it is still the same clubs just a different league system. So I don't see how it can possibly be financially a better package for us. Glad it has not gone through. I was going to paste in the financial re-distribution graph to answer but I see Don has already done that! And that graph shows that the red line (the proposed financial model) is lower than the blue line (current financial model) for the majority of SPL clubs. Therefore they would earn less money than currently through commercial monies distribution. I maybe wasn't clear enough with my point sorry. How is this financially a better package for the SPL clubs namely ourselves rather than Scottish football as a whole? Maybe because if Scottish football as a whole enters the black hole of unsustainability because of this vote, it isn't going to matter much how ICT fares financially...there will be no league set-up worth the name from which to profit.. Scottish football doesn't revolve around ICT's income.and this was about the future of Scottish football as a whole, not of ICT. The ICT directors understood that. If the ICT directors etc thought it was the way to go, and were prepared to cope with whatever it throws up, why are some of us carping? From what I can make out it was only going to be a max of three years anyway, before further change could be considered, which would give a decent time span to come up with something which was actually thought through and would work in the long term. This was a compromise in the short-term, imo....as a consequence of Rangers demise and all that has happened in the last season or so.....a knee-jerk reaction to events as opposed to a pro-active change for the good of the game in Scotland.. The next three years would have allowed the time to come up with a well thought through, well researched and adequately consulted alternative......but unfortunately, the continuation of the 11-1 voting will likely mean, as it has this time, that the whole package will be refused because a couple of clubs don't like one specific item in it..

When has Whyte ever been out on loan? what i mean is he will keep going out on loan like Morrison I would have assumed that keep meant he had already been on loan at some stage?

Has nobody but me noticed that the home grown under-20 players are not perceived as nearly as good as under-20 loanees and signings from English teams? Much more sensible, it seems, in the Butcher mindset, to improve English loanees than to improve our own young players...after all an improved loanee will possibly get an English team more money. when they move on...so we might get more of them to improve.....while we, in the meantime, dunt our own kids with no improvement....or return to our coffers. I think everybody but you has noticed that today we have acheived a top 6 finish for the first time in the club's history. Butcher must be doing something right don't you think? I noticed the top six....but to me that isn't the be-all and end-all of football. It is nice, to be sure....but not essential to my support...if I was only going to get enthused when my team is winning/doing well, I'd not be a Scotland supporter...would I? You will, I am sure, excuse me if I wonder if he couldn't have done pretty much as well with the home-grown under-20 players he had already signed on sweeties rather than signing players from English clubs, on undoubtedly bigger wages. That is something we will never know, of course,,,but if the home-grown under-20s are so crap...why are we paying wages to youth coaches who appear to be completely incompetent when the players they deem decent rarely/never get their bums on a first team bench..and if they do, rarely get their bums off it and onto the pitch.....while laddies from elsewhere arrive today and play tomorrow?

Youngsters
We don't really have an under-20s, if it was intended to be a replacement for the under 19s to allow the local lads to improve and allow the facility for some injured players to get match practice/fitness.....but we do have a quasi-reserve team which just happens to be composed of the maximum allowed over 20s in any game, the maximum number of signed to the first team under-20s in every game and the minimum number of local lads in every game. I kinda wonder what is the point of dishing out money to pay our youth coaches when 99% of the kids they bring through the ranks to under 20 level are only there in case some first team player from an English or other club isn't available to play. Oddquine why do you think the club do this? I can only imagine it is because it is felt the kids coming in bring something different? But, excuse me if I think nobody knows if the kids coming in can do something different when our own kids have never had the chance to show what they can do to illustrate the difference required.

CJT Statement on Acceptable Behaviour
Should think Pikey and Tink/Tinkler would be just as unacceptable as Gypsy and variations of that. Out of interest, does it take a complaint by a punter, or a TV/Internet watcher, to engender an arrest...or can the police arrest someone just because they (one of the police) hear them, even if nobody objects/takes offence?

In this case, kindly interpret As the last post was made by the most beautiful sounding rescue bitch PM fer a slightly larger than large shirt but you could smuggle away a few big fish in it as well. Because I don't understand it! Does anyone else? If so, please interpret it for me.
