So is it fair to say that we actually perform better without Terry? I'm obviously being there but we were pretty faultless at Arbroath, and last season our season got going when Terry got banned and we humped Dundee Utd with Mo in charge.

First time I've seen him and yes he looked good - nippy and skillful. Williams combining with Shinnie on the left could be a potent weapon for us.

Sheerin's lack of mobility these days (and that's not another reference to his driving ban) probably played a part in our dominance, but he still has the vision, touch and superb passing ability. Pre-season games just don't get me excited but this is one of my favourite grounds so I'll be there. When we last played there it was disappointing to see that the old pub at the harbour had closed down. It had become something of a tradition that Mantis & co would be sat in the corner drinking rum and singing sea shanties before the game.

I'd say £30 for the likes of Barca would still be very good value.
