Oh dear, that’s bad news, and leaves us a bit short of attacking options.

Does anyone know if our club has the resources to have Tranent watched before we play them?

It would certainly be good to avoid the Championship and League 1 sides that we have played numerous times.

They have got off very lightly. If a team can lose 3 points for a simple admin oversight that results in an ineligible player for 1 match, then I’d have thought systematic cheating and dishonesty over a period of time would be worth a lot more than a 6 point deduction, especially when they have ‘previous’ when it comes to hiding things from the football authorities.

I guess I’d have taken a draw when it was 0-2, but that’s a poor result and bad day for us with our rivals getting good away wins.

Looks like we denied a very clear penalty which could have made it 2-2. But most of the errors in the game were within our control.

What’s disappointing and slightly concerning is not that we have dropped to 3rd, but that we have lost both ‘6 pointers’ against the top 2.

Will Longstaff’s goal be the furthest out in ICT history? I can’t recall any others from our own half. Even Barry Wilson’s spectacular one in the cup at Motherwell can’t claim to be from as far back , even if it might possibly be the longest distance shot to beat a keeper?

As I recall there would have been a 6 figure sum payable to Gardner if administration hadn’t happened, and I don’t imagine Alan Savage would have been keen to pay for that with his money. It wasn’t all about the land deal, it’s also about what Savage was getting for his money, ie partial ownership v full ownership. Nobody would expect him to cough up all the cash to save the club while the other shareholders put in nothing but get the benefit of his money.

An absolutely superb goal-saving tackle by the defender - but then he made a poor pass to a teammate who was surrounded by attackers and we got the ball back.

Think it might have been into an empty net when their keeper was up for a corner at the death.

Great result in the end! The stats indicate that we were pretty dominant in terms of attempts on goal but the result was in the balance until the end.

Surprised they are both benched, but I guess we weren’t getting anywhere last week while they were on, so maybe others deserve their chance. I expect we’ll see at least one of them come on as a sub.

Took a big deflection, don’t think it was going in otherwise.

Oh and the Iain Vigurs song came across loud and clear on the telly. 😄

FT, a 1-0 win thanks to MacLeod’s deflected shot. We defended very well and didn’t do a lot wrong, but were pretty poor in the final third. Poor game but a great day for us.
