  1. I would go with something like this: Mackay Raven Warren Devine Tremarco Kink Polworth Ross Doran Christie Watkins
  2. You'd take Chalmers and McHugh over McDonald and Ainsworth. I know you don't attend many games, but jeez. From what I remember, McHugh hardly did anything in the Premiership for Motherwell, hence why he was released. Whilst McHugh hasn't done anything notable as such at Motherwell, we do have a knack of bringing the best out of players to rejuvenate their careers. Like I say, McHugh will be 24 next month which I would still consider fairly young for a footballer, so he could be a option for a 'back up' to Ofere if he signs for next season. Like you I would much prefer McDonald however I'm just covering all basis as to what may be more affordable for the club.
  3. Baptie has been told he won't be offered a new contract. - and a decision on Ferguson will be given next week. That's a shame. I really liked the look of Baptie. I'd be surprised if Ferguson isn't retained, especially after talking him up in the press for a couple of months. On who to bring in, I think McFadden is passed it and would probably still command a big wage. Three or four years ago yes, but not now. I might be wrong but isn't Tesselaar always injured? McGeouch would be worth looking at though and I think Ainsworth would fit into our team no bother. I'm pretty sure Yogi was keen to bring Ainsworth here in the transfer window we got Tansey back but I think Ainsworth opted for Motherwell. Definitely would renew the interest there if Marley goes.
  4. http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/pictures-check-out-scottish-football-5706067 Just seen this link of out of contract players in the premiership. Some of them could fit into our team IMO. Defence: Jeroen Tesselaar - a player on his day who was a decent left back when he played at St Mirren the first time round and also at Killie, now back at a dire St Mirren. Could be a good enough replacement for Graeme Shinnie Joe Chalmers - Plays for Celtic and still fairly young, could be a decent young guy to be a back up for Carl Tremarco Midfield: Lionel Ainsworth - If Marley Watkins leaves the club in the summer then I would suggest Ainsworth as it would be like for like replacements Dylan McGeouch - A decent player when I have seen him against our U20s a couple seasons back and couple times I've seen Hibs on the telly, he seems to have a good game. I reckon he could have the same impact Andrew Shinnie had to our team and it could be a decent option if Liam Polworth and Lewis Horner leave the club. Kallum Higgenbotham - Another player who could be a useful replacement for Marley Watkins, Higgenbotham always seems to shine against us. James McFadden - An experienced player who could benefit us in Europe and maybe the league too Strikers: Scott McDonald - Same as McFadden Bob McHugh - Could be a decent option as he is only 23/24 I don't expect us to sign everyone I have just listed but if we signed a couple of these guys coupled with a loan or two from England then I'd be more than confident we could do well next season in Europe and the league.
  5. Baptie has been told he won't be offered a new contract. - and a decision on Ferguson will be given next week. If that is true then a new Left back needs to be top of the shopping list for next season.
  6. Spot on, gone to Fleetwood Town.
  7. Wow this must mean we should go with the youth if we both agree with each other. Well look at how much of an impact Ryan Christie made when brought in to the first team - same should apply to Ali Sutherland and Calum Ferguson at least.
  8. I don't really know what to make of Tarmo Kink, mainly because of the lack apperances but what I've seen of him, it certainly looks like he was signed up to add up the numbers for the squad. I want to give him the benefit of the doubt but if he can't make the same impact that Edward Ofere has then he shouldn't really be kept on for next season in my opinion. I appreciate that money is tight and to get a higher calibre of player you need to splash the cash but I feel we are just wasting money on players like Kink and Horner just to sit on the bench and in the developmental team. I agree with CaleyDawson, give the younger guys a chance.
  9. HT: 0-0 FT: 1-1 1st ICT: Ofere 1st Dundee United: Ciftci First Goal: 32 mins
  10. I wouldn't mind seeing Declan McManus come to the club, I see he rejected a new contract at Aberdeen.
  11. Thank god for that then.
  12. Just out of interest, is there relegation in the developmental league? I recall Rangers getting promoted to the league few seasons back.
  13. I personally feel that we could do with getting a couple of experienced players that have already played European football to help out our guys when it comes to big game qualifiers. I also appreciate for us to do that would take the club to spend money that we most likely don't have but maybe there are a few feasible options out there. Scott McDonald done it all with Celtic in Europe and seems to be having a really positive impact to Motherwell this season. His contract will be coming to an end next month, could do no wrong in enquiring IMO On our day we have a squad good enough to compete with a good European side but as I say, a couple experienced players wouldn't go a miss.
  14. Can't see Watkins dropping a league to a team with no european chances in the horizon. May not be dropping a league, depends on the play offs. Regardless of which league they will be in, we have much more to offer barring money If you were offered a job with a higher wage than you currently get, you wouldn't take it?
  15. Aye because the wages we can offer will be the same as Aberdeen. In terms of a loan mover we don't know what dons will be paying Still would be much more than we could ever offer. If we had more money than Aberdeen, Shinnie would be with us next season.

  18. In the Daily Express its saying that should Stuart McCall get the Rangers job next season, he wants to sign Marley Watkins.
  19. I think Saturday would be a perfect opportunity for the lads (especially U20s) who are out of contract in the summer to give Yogi an idea whether they are good for the first team yet or not.
  20. Went into the shop today and I thought it was a brilliant set up. I really liked the fact that you can get merchandise right in the centre of town without going all the way out to the stadium. I would love to see it become a permanent shop but if I remember correctly, we had a set up at Debenhams about 9/10 years ago but sales weren't doing too great?
  21. Looking at the Wikipedia page, the glamour tie for me from the first round would be AIK from Sweden. I also notice England getting a European place through fair play enter the first round which I believe West Ham are currently favourites for that spot.
  22. Mackay Raven Brown Devine Tremarco Polworth Horner Sutherland Ross Kink Ferguson Subs: Esson, Meekings, Draper, Doran, Watkins, Christie, Ofere
  23. HT: 0-0 FT: 2-1 1st ICT: Watkins 1st Dundee: Stewart First Goal: 36 mins
  24. TCS or the academy?` Hasn't been announced yet but I would assume TCS.
