  1. The guy that posted it usually spot on with stuff regarding us. I think he works/worked with Sky Sports.
  2. Not an ideal situation to face if he leaves this month especially with the highland Derby on Saturday.
  3. I fully expect County to park the bus very early and like Rene says dominating the game will be key like we did in the second half against Hamilton My team would be: Brill Raven Warren Meekings Tremarco Draper Tansey Shinnie Watkins Ross Mckay Subs: Esson, Devine, Williams, Vincent, Christie, Doran, Ferguson
  4. If both Mckay and Watkins were more committal to ICT then absolutely but it doesn't seem like it at this stage. I would love us to be in a position to re-sign both players but it doesn't seem likely. If they want to go elsewhere then I don't think we should stand in their way and as I said I think we could benefit as a club with a bit of a freshen up with new players.
  5. Nick Ross was one I would have believed to leave a few months ago and now I really hope he signs a new deal. His form in the last few games has shown what we had known about Nicky before Yogi joined the club and now I am really glad he has staked his claim under Yogi. - New Contract Billy Mckay has been a fantastic servant for the club and scored some unbelievable and important goals for the club. I think after being at the club for a few seasons now, he will be wanting a new challenge as he seems to be reluctant to sign a new contract. I also am of the view point that we could do with a freshen up front as we have been very reliant on Mckay - reluctantly let me him leave Marley Watkins like Mckay has been great for the club and shown great form but seems to be reluctant to sign a new contract. With Marley being so young, he is someone you'd like to think we could make money off of but if he sees his future elsewhere then we shouldn't stand in his way - reluctantly let him leave Danny Devine hasn't featured much for the club and unfortunately won't get ahead of Meekings or Warren. I wouldn't blame the boy if he went to pastures new to get a solid first team football. - Let him leave David Raven has been a great player for us and certainly one of the best right backs we've had at the club. He has stated his intentions to re-sign with the club and I think he is a player we could definitely rely on for a few season yet. - New Contract Josh Meekings is a player that is very consistent and improves every time I watch him. He could do wonders for this club and it would be very silly to let him leave for nought. I view Meekings as a future ICT captain - New Contract Liam Polworth is a good local lad but unfortunately can't get himself established into the first team. I personally think Polworth would have a better chance progressing with his football career elsewhere unfortunately. Liam Polworth kind of reminds me of Gavin Morrison. - Let him leave Lewis Horner previously worked under Yogi at Hibernian but it's just not worked out here to be honest. I would like to have seen more of Horner and who knows we may do before May comes but I seriously doubt. - Let him leave What do we need? 1x Right Back - a back up to Raven 1x Centre Back - a replacement for Devine should he leave 1x Centre Midfielder - a replacement for Polworth and Horner 1x Winger - a replacement Watkins 1x Striker - a replacement for Mckay I would like to see us go for a goal poacher similarlary to Kris Boyd in his prime (just less lazy) when looking for a striker, someone that could bury Carl Tremaro's decent crosses into the box. I would like to see us get a commanding centre mid that could be a direct replacement for Ross Draper should he ever be sent off or injured because I feel when Draper is missed we lack a bit of bite in the midfield. A back up for Raven is self-explanatory. Shinnie won't be here next season to take up the role and I would like a natural right back to be at hand and not just use Tremarco for the hell of it A centre back is self-explanatory also, we should look for a similar player to Warren or Meekings. A winger for replacement for Watkins. We need a fast paced winger, who can chip in with the attack like Watkins has been doing I just think now is the time, we need to take the team to a new dynamic and try and freshen us up a bit.
  6. Seen on Twitter a few Scottish clubs interested in Kiddminster winger Marvin Johnson - sounds like the kind of deal we usually take. Possible replacement for Watkins?
  7. Game against Hearts today Team: Hoban,C.Brown,Howarth,Horner,J.Brown, Polworth,Maclennan,Wilson,Ferguson, Sutherland,Baptie Subs: Blackett,Rennie,Hull
  8. I'm glad its been announced earlier rather than later. The Hayes situation a few seasons back was an absolute farce. It's not an ideal situation granted but it could have been a lot worse.
  9. HT: 2-0 FT: 5-1 1st ICT: Shinnie 1st County: Curran First Goal: 26 mins
  10. OK, I see where you are coming from even although you don't seem to see my opinion on the subject. Yes, he is still contracted to this club so why would he sign a PC in January knowing full well that he would be obligated to us until the end of the season? My view is that he and Aberdeen would like the deal done now and they are waiting for our call to bring this forward (Aberdeen don't have a fit left back at the moment.) They are playing a game with us and we should do our best to get something instead of nothing out of the deal. If we had placed him on the transfer list at the beginning of January we would at least have had a little bit of control over the matter. With regard to "willing and able to play to the best of his ability" is concerned I really don't see how anyone can give their all knowing full well that their current employer's success could quite easily ruin his future employer's chances of winning a European place! Let me put this to you - If you are a highly regarded employee employed by company A and give them three months notice that you are moving to one of their serious competitors, how do you think they would react and what action do you think they would take? Maybe he signed a pre-contract so that he had security over his future. It's absolutely devastating that Graeme has chosen to go to Aberdeen but in hind sight I see this deal as he has chosen what's best for his family - and that's more important that anything else. As I understand it, Graeme girlfriend/wife is due a baby soon and do you really expect Graeme to bugger off to another country? I really don't expect Aberdeen to offer us a massive offer for Graeme unless they were really desperate for him now. I don't think it would be beneficial to just cast him astray because he has signed for Aberdeen. As Kingsmills rightly says that Graeme is now simply working his notice and I fully expect him to continue as normal as that that's the type of character Graeme is. Because Graeme has been here for years I'm most defintely sure he won't do wrong by the club and if he stepped up to take a penalty to secure 3rd place over Aberdeen I'm sure he would try and score to leave us with his head held high and remain his dignity.
  11. End of the day Graeme is still contracted to us until June and should be treated as such. If his individual performance starts to fade then he should of coure be dropped but to drop him straight away just strikes of 'sour grapes'. Gary Mackay-Stevens signed for Celtic and Jackie MacNamara still puts him in the team.
  12. According to Alex O'Henley we want to keep Graeme till the end of the season but I suspect that would change if we receive a decent offer from Aberdeen (which I doubt)
  13. I reckon we should go left field (pardon the pun) with Shinnie's replacement. What about Aaron Taylor-Sinclair? Highly rated at Partick Thistle and was said to be moving to Celtic but got a move to Wigan instead where he has barely featured.
  14. He is home i do believe Dropping Mckay for Ferguson - bold move that! They won't be expecting it Neither will Yogi!
  15. I would have thought so too. Wouldn't be surprised if he signs for Bolton or even Motherwell since they always bring back old faces and could do with someone like McDonald.
  16. Noticed this today: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/30966730 Wouldn't mind taking him here as a short term back up to Mckay.
  17. Swearing at the football matches has always been a thing and I have listened to it as young boy and wasn't particularly bothered by it then/ I didn't understand what was being said anyways. I was at the game yesterday and stood in the row in front of the guy who shouted what was said in the OP whilst I don't condone it especially for a six year to be within ear shot, I didn't think it was as bad as the OP is making it out to be. The whole 'abuse' directed at the ball boy lasted a mere 5 seconds. If you felt strongly about this then you should have have taken the person aside and told him you've got a six year old at the football with you and told him to tone it down that would have been the end of it. You also had the option to move to other empty seats in the away section but to walk out of the ground and then complain on fans forum in my opinion is very counterproductive. Regarding the Dougie Imrie chants also, they have been going about for years when he's played for Hamilton, St Mirren and Morton respectively, again it's shouldn't be condoned but it going to happen. Anyways it's a shame you walked out of the game after 40 minutes, you missed a cracking second half.
  18. Dropping Mckay for Ferguson - bold move that!
  19. HT: 0-0 FT: 1-3 1st ICT: Watkins 1st Hamilton: Andreu First Goal: 28 mins
  20. Wasn't Terry Butcher once quoted saying that players from the Scottish leagues demand more money which is well out of our wage budget than say players from the English leagues? Without a doubt finances excluded there are players in the Scottish leagues that I would want to play for ICT but I think we should stick to our most usual transfer strategy in raiding the English leagues - I do agree we've had our fair share of duds with Claude Gnapka being my biggest gripe. Where I think we could benefit is having a look in the European market too - with Latapy having experience in Portugal it could be a place to kickstart things off. In my mind, teams in Portugal and Spain will play a lot of passing football and we may have a hidden gem there that may be a good fit here.
  21. No it wouldn't. Boyce has been one of the players to actually stand out for County and does seem to have ability, as well as actually scoring and playing regularly at this level. Again, you don't go from playing for Cliftonville to Werder Bremen for nothing. Curtis Allen didn't make the bench once with us for a number of reasons, not least because he was actually pretty hopeless. Considering I've seen both play, I would say Boyce is far superior player. Again dismissing County players outright is naive. Presumably going by that way of thinking, the signing of Don Cowie on a pre-contract from a very poor County side, in the league below and who were later relegated to Division 2, would also be classed as a 'dud'. Let's not get ahead of ourselves when Boyce was signed for Bremen's reserve team 'Werder Bremen II' and only played 3 times for that side. To be perfectly honest if Boyce was such a profilc striker in this league then he would have scored more than 3 league goals at this stage and established a regular start in their first eleven. Just imagine Mckay is leaving ICT and we replaced him with Liam Boyce, the downgrade in that is remarkable. I don't feel I'm being naive, I feel I'm being realistic that Boyce would be a waste of money that would be better spent elsewhere. I'm not totally dismissing all Ross County players as I said in the previous post that Tony Dingwall would be an exception I would be willing to make.
  22. In my opinion if we signed Liam Boyce, he wouldn't be any different to having Curtis Allen back at the club. The only exception I would take if we were to sign a Ross County player would be Tony Dingwall as I have watched him a few times a couple seasons back in the U20 league and always shined and now seems to be a regular starter OTB (currently injured though) I personally feel you get better value for money if you sign a player from the lower leagues in England than signing a couple duds from OTB.
  23. Can't think of any tbh but that is mostly due to not watching Football League Show lol or not getting any blue square matches on BT yet this season. Where is IHE when we need him haha. Maybe someone on here will know of anyone? With Yogi already having experience with Hartlepool, he will have a grasp of what the calibre is like down there. I'm sure there will be players that he has previously worked with down there that may be better suited up here - who knows. I'm also sure that the club will have retained some contacts despite Marsella not being with the club anymore, so we should hopefully have things sorted out should some of the guys decide not to re-new their contract.
  24. I wouldn't touch Ross County players with a barge pole! I think we should stick to the same transfer strategy we've had the last few seasons trying to unearth gems of the lower leagues in England trying to make a name for themselves who could be undoubtedly be better calibre of player than the two listed above county players.
  25. Deal isn't happening apparently: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/30929174
