  1. I am disappointed in truth if Howarth is being let go. Jay Cheyne I can understand, I can't remember the last game he played. He tweeted the same day all the U17's got a new deal that it was the worst day of his life so i'm guessing he got released Absolutely gutted for the lad. Should have been here next year.

  3. Well tonight was a much more positive home performance in recent weeks and I came away from the TCS tonight thinking Aberdeen were there for the taking tonight much as they were in the cup final. For me personally I felt 0-0 didn't reflect the game at all. I thought a draw in hindsight may have been the fairer result and there should have been loads of goals scored tonight - maybe that's credit to the goalkeepers. I am still finding myself getting frustrated at the passing back to the deep and even when we become under pressure Meekings or Warren passes back to Brill and just hoofing it. I personally don't see the point and also can't fathom how Raven nor Tremarco can't be passed to and getting the ball forward as quickly as possible to eliminate the pressure. With that being said I thought some of our passing was good in most spells and some mispasses were happening but that happened for Aberdeen too thankfully so I won't be too critical. I took a moment tonight and actually looked at the Aberdeen team and as much as I hate the wee sh*te, I thought we could have done with a player like Willo Flood. He got the ball from deep very well, held the ball and got the ball forward very well and even chipped in at both wings - a player that would suit John Hughes' passing style of play. Since the injury I think James Vincent hasn't been up to scratch and I thought the difference between him and Ryan Christie was remarkable. Christie had so much energy, got the ball forward and managed to nutmeg an Aberdeen player too. In hindsight, I think John needs to make an executive decision and actually start Ryan Christie in games as we could be much better for it. For me tonight, Ross Draper was my MOTM. Referee was terrible. I'll take a point but should have been 3, but hey ho Bring on Celtic
  4. Our next U20 home game is on Tuesday 22nd vs Dundee United at the TCS 6pm kick off. After that, we also have our final game of the season on Thursday 24th vs Dunfermline at the TCS 6pm kick off.
  5. Winner announced at 5pm today I think.
  6. If you watch U20 games you would be saying the complete opposite. When Conor started with us he was pretty much a winger/striker, scored a late equaliser vs Hearts and scored a peach vs Hibernian. Admittedly he hasn't really been given much of a chance since. I have taken a fair bit of time watching u20s home games and this season Conor has been playing at right back. The word for me that sums him up is 'versatility'. His performances at right back have been really good and he has the pace to go forward but also the pace to come back to defend. Right back was a position I was worried about due to the lack of cover but the reality is now we have Conor Pepper and Graeme Shinnie that can fill in at right back, so that in itself should hopefully warrant Conor Pepper a new deal.

  8. Yeah they have, I emailed Celtic yesterday and also ICT on the ticket information on web confirmed this. Great initiative that should hopefully see more people attending the game. The reduction in prices as well is welcoming too! If Celtic had them prices all season for all teams in the premiership, I'm pretty sure they'd have more people attending for the away teams. I had a look at their prices for their game with Aberdeen and their adults prices are £29!
  9. Apologises for that Yngwie, I just assumed everyone would have known who would've been the home and the away team. Will know in future now!
  10. That's 13 points...... Aberdeen - 3pts Celtic - 1pt Dundee United - 3pts Motherwell - 0 pts St Johnstone - 3pts Correct me if I'm wrong but that makes 10 ;)
  11. 10 points Aberdeen - Home Win Celtic - Draw Dundee United - Home Win Motherwell - Home Win St Johnstone - Home Win
  12. 1. Why would St Johnstone or Dundee United focus on a cup final that is 5 weeks away? If anything they will want to pushing up as far as the league as they can because obviously if St Johnstone win the cup then Dundee United will want/need to finish 3rd. I can't see them struggling. 2. Celtic will play a mixed side I would imagine and not a whole team of youngsters. A draw would be a great result IMO. 3. Aberdeen won't be tired if anything they will be focusing on making sure they finish second place. 4. As I said above I can't see Motherwell slumping now because they are on a bit of form at the moment. For me personally, I would be happy enough with a 4th place finish as it's a bit more cash for ICT than a 5th place finish. If we finish 3rd then absolutely fantastic but as the saying goes whatever will be, will be! Both teams will not want to get their players injured so they might back off and not try as much so they have a fully fit squad for the final sure a draw would be great but out of the 3 fixtures we have played them apart from the 5-0 one it has always been close even that one at times we played better football than them, so i would say a win should be our target cause it's very much achievable After playing yesterday then they won't have the same time we have to train and get fit, plus some still might be angry at the result and put in a bad challenge on his own player Nah Motherwell will be our hardest game as i said before they still have everything to fight for 1. Why would either team "Not try as much". Our final game of the season vs St Johnstone could be interesting because it will be the week before the final and as you say they could have their eye on the final. In no way will either team not be 100% committed because of the cup final. 2. If we get anything from Parkhead then I will be happy. I agree with you when it's been close games especially the first game at Parkhead where we should have got 3 points. 3. Regardless of playing yesterday, Aberdeen will be like a wounded animal and want to regroup. These guys are professional footballers will be fully fit for Friday and as I said they will want to finish second in the table. I think they are a win or less away from securing 3rd place. We will need to be top of our game which I think we will be after the well needed resting period. 4. Playing away at Fir Park is always a difficult task and they aren't safe to finish 3rd. I know I am reply to your points and you may think I am being negative - not at all. It was when you said 15 points out of 15 is achievable. Absolutely it can be achievable but it's a tough ask and if we get Europe then great but we've had a great season so far and if we don't get Europe then it won't be the be all and end all. There's always next season
  13. Got a bit of bone floating around his knee and had to get his knee flushed out (IIRC) He may be out for the rest of the season.

  16. I see that Celtic have reduced the prices for our game. http://celticfc.net/newsstory?item=5689 Adults: £20 Concession: £10 Under 13s: £5 Link also goes on to say they have limited student tickets for a fiver but looks like for the home end.
  17. Celtic most likely.

    Luke James.

Dont forget Daryl Duffy and Gerard Aafjes as well If Billy Mckay leaves then I heard that we will be getting Darryl Duffy and Derek Riordan as a buy one get one free deal.
  19. That's a good shout but I really can't see Motherwell slumping now IMO.

It's much different from what I have heard. I have heard we are in for Tam Scobbie, Kevin McBride, Pedro Moutinho, Alan Gow, Vitor Lima and even Russell Latapy's gonna play too!
  21. It doesn't necessarily 'need' to be Aberdeen vs Rangers but it gives us more of an advantage if we finish 4th. Aslong as Aberdeen win the cup and we finish 4th it will be plain sailing because I can sense a lot of debate if a Rangers win and we get the European place.
  22. Rearranged U20 Highland Derby is on Thursday 17th at the Global Energy Stadium 6pm kick off.
  23. Probably because it was scored in April...!!! are you sure cause were they not like days apart We played Motherwell on the 1st of April....D'oh!
  24. Rearranged Highland Derby has been scheduled for 17th of April. Kick off times and location will be announced in due course.
  25. The right back was really good too. I think he was about 16?
